What I have never worked out is why they don't want us all mellow and happy and laughing. Most drugs used to control behaviour almost sedate a person. I have always wondered why mellow is wrong for them.

The implications of social engineering are far more insidious than many seem to grasp. People tend to think in a very egocentric and immediate point of view. This perspective becomes the template we tend to overlay upon everything else.

Indoctrination is a long term asymmetrical strategy. At least this has historically been the case. A study of history regarding Royal families, and religion - providing just two examples - show how opinions and beliefs and loyalties can she shaped and molded over time. Even on ATS one only need to spend half an hour in the politics forums to see that the Founding Fathers of the United States, and their statements are taken as literal Gospel and are viewed as a singular and very specific doctrine - even though history proves that these men were anything but in agreement over how this nation should progress forward.

Media technology, however, has changed the game. I heard a quote on a History Channel documentary, entitled "The Presidents Book of Secrets" recently that said the average third grader, today, has more information stored than a person in the sixteenth century would have accessed in their entire lifetime. This is not referring to modern technology - but just the number of facts and access to them.

We now find ourselves in a world where paradigms can be shifted in a single day - rather than over the course of generations. One news story can change the world in the course of a single day. Think 9/11.

But even that is not an example of the real dangers of social engineering and the manipulation of paradigm and perception.

Once, in a thread about gun control, I dared post a paraphrase of the following :Nobody is going to come and forcibly take your guns. What they will do is create culture and environment where people will happily and enthusiastically line up to turn their guns in.

This was instantly scoffed at and replied to with the standard "...from my cold, dead fingers" responses that one would expect ( and want to believe! ). But the reality of it is that a well constructed psyop could very well have an effect strong enough to make the majority of people shift their opinions and begin to believe that it is all for the best. The keys are simply appeal to ego, appeal to security, and appeal to conscience. People want to do the right thing and they want to be accepted. These are the dual pillars of mind control. All it takes to create conformity is the ability to influence the mechanisms of those two factors and compliance can be created.

Heck, look at my previous thread on the UN Cyberspace resolution and count the number of posts supporting it - usually citing child porn as a good reason to strangle this medium of communication. This is a blatant example of engineering. Pick an evil, build a meme about it, and then use it to sway public opinion in your favor. The fact that the truth doesn't support the position is irrelevant and not even worth worrying about because once you've swayed opinion in your favor - the people you've indoctrinated with fight the battle for you. They'll promulgate your psyop.

The actions involved are very much like malicious code written for the human species. Thought viruses that can be created and then used to control.

Again - these thoughts are the tip of the iceberg ( or spear ) and I sincerely implore all interested parties to do their own research.

This is where the information takes my train of thought to...
The rise of conspiracy theories/ theorists, doomsday scenarios etc...seems to me to be what was once a fringe topic discussed with whispers in dark places has become mainstream and cool. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and not necessarily because they have alternative theories.
I believe it was made as a trend to be monitored, and thus predicted, as your posted research claims.
Our theories being used as a tool to predict outcomes of various incidents and thus thwarting any chance we have to openly discuss our beliefs or thoughts without judgment, prejudice, or eventually, success.
We are already being profiled by our cards in our wallet, and our other social media (as you posted). How naive to think there is free think or free speech anywhere that is not being watched.

The real surprise here is their open admission of what they're doing.
This used to one of those hush-hush subjects they felt they couldn't be caught doing.

Even among those smart enough to think for themselves I find most can't be bothered.
I think they would find reality just too damn disturbing if they ever turned over that rock.
So long as our present media and entertainment structure remains intact we're fighting a losing battle here.
It's as if people gave up their right to think freely willingly.
Why? Laziness? Fear? Herd mentality?

What if this were true. I'm not saying that it is. I like to think for entertainment. This is a fleeting thought that I thought that I'd share.

But what some fail to see is this. There are many different personalies.

So to be effective there needs to be several models that work hand in hand.

One is the model that we are privy to. The one for the , for lack of a better tern the "sheeple". You can smack them across the face and they'll still live it. They trust and do what they are told, because it is easy.

Then you have one for the masses that are naturaly discontent. Keep them discontent and they will be no problem.

Then you have the folks that will think but can but controlled by propaganda. These folks want to believe that all is well with the world, but they have this tiny voice that sometimes comes up and says, "Hey this isn't right." With propaganda, fear and/or anti-depressants they can sleep well in their rose coloured world.

Then you have the folks that have always questioned everything. From the time they could speak, the "Why's" and "How's" couldn't be silenced with "that's just the way it is" These folks need to be kept busy, because they cannot really be controlled by anyother means. Much like a crossword puzzle, all the answers are known and accepted and like 15 across is; Weeping tree. Woo Hoo, puzzle sovled all is well with the world.

Then you have the thinking folks that cannot be pacified with busy work. That tiny voice isn't so tiny. Now these folks can be controlled a little easier by rightously having them question everything that the modelers chose them to question. This can work to the modelers (whom obviously belong in this group, just a different department) benifit and whomever got the modelers to do their bidding. The modelers are successful, they recieve internal gratification. The ones who control the modelers get their dirty work done. The thinking folks that cannot be pacified with busy work are happy doing thier thing or they know that all isn't right and try and make their difference, kinda like a painter who paints colorful paintings for the colorblind. These folks try really hard not to burn out. Bingo bango, they are kept busy.

Now there is the wild card group of folks who don't have to think outside the box, simply because they have no box. I've seen them and heard them and have only a elemantary explanation of them. They can be quite scary I think I would put Michelangelo in this group. His thinking could not be stopped, controlled or silenced. He died in the 1500's and we are still listening.

The only way for this whole model to be successful is to keep all the group of folks at a simi state of aggitation with each other.

Such and such is so wrong because they think vaccination is bad.

Such and such is so wrong because they don't believe in the possibilites of an extraterrestrial live form.

Such and such is wrong because they don't have the same religous beliefs as I do.

The list could go on.

I don't think this list is that black and white, I think there are many shades of in between.

But to go with your point about a stupid populace being easier to control, Charlotte Iserbyte used to be an official in the US Dept. of Education under Reagan. She resigned as a whistleblower, telling of US/USSR collusion to keep the masses dumbed down via national education initiatives that forced specific skills. One such skill is memorization vs. actually learning the logic behind the concept. For example, memorization of math formulas instead of learning the mathematical logic.

We are being taught WHAT to think, not HOW to think.

This makes a lot of sense to me. I hated when my daughter was in public school, and they spent so much time teaching to the standardized tests. It was a lot of "just memorize how to do this", in order to pass the test. I always assumed it was just so the school could get more funding with more passing test scores, but maybe it's more than that.

My daughter now goes to a charter International Baccalaureate school, which does NOT teach memorization, nor do they teach to the standardized tests. They teach critical thinking skills, and funny enough, the IB students tend to do just as well or better on the standardized tests. Hmmmm....

That is the one thing that I always seem to circle back to, is that any methodology and parameters are designed and/or have root in mans own design. The programming/logic is restricted to our own thinking in other words. The influences on that thinking are never changing.

I would suggest that in some cases our communications have evolved at a rate much faster than the general consciousness. Just like in economics, there are lagging indicators! Great thread.

The thing is, when you bring it up people say, "But how do you get every single teacher in on the conspiracy? That just seems a little far fetched!"

It is the same as the way they have controlled the media: by capitalizing on the human propensity to taking the path of least resistance. If you create a system whereby teachers are assessed solely on test scores, then it becomes obvious that those teachers are going to start trying to impact test scores only.

I used to run a call center. We had real issues with quality scores. I watched, as i rose through the ranks, how our various leaders would try to teach the quality system by using the grading sheets as a teachers guide, or a lesson plan. They never managed to "break through" and get decent scores for our site. My first change was to stop teaching to the QA grading system, and instead just teach people to be good with Customer Service. I could go on and on about how effective it was, and we eventually became the top rated site for Customer Service Quality (out of 32 other sites)

It is easy: people are made to understand. Not to recall. Recollection is a powerful tool, but it is only a tool that should be used to achieve greater understanding. The way we educate our youth today goes against all common sense. Our species name, "Homo Sapiens Sapiens"....we are betraying it. We are teaching ourselves to devolve, and become beings of recollection, not understanding.

This is part of the Agenda 21 food chain. The 'manual" for how the global community will be forced to live in the 21st century. In the education guidelines it clearly states that the more money people make the more they consume, so there is an intentional dumming down. The poor are happier with less. Its all about sustainability.

Dumbing your children down started with Reagan. Or, rather, Bush Sr while he was VP.

They are all in on it. Most don't even realize that they are in on it, either. Like I said, it is easy to create the outcome you want if you can put a series of steps in place that exploit human laziness and other natural tendencies.

I can't force anyone to do anything. But I can, in a very sublime way, lead people to do things. I just have to understand what it takes to drive them in any direction. Things like sex, money....those are all well known and easy to track. But laziness or entropy.....that is far more insidious. It is how you get a reporter to run a story you write: they are lazy and will be happy to turn in your "story" as part of their daily work load.

So how exactly do you suggest we fight this "war of minds"? Perhaps the game plan is to plant these seeds in our mind in such a way that we end up doing exactly as they planned even as we're trying to break away from their system?

We've been fooling ourselves for so long, how do we tell what's real? By this point, the illusion provides much more comfort than the truth. We're so deep, the temptation to surrender is almost overwhelming.

However, regardless of the links and officialdom of your sources...dare I say..."I knew all this already" not because of research but because of gut instinct and intuition...the fundamental knowledge of power and how it works and just a general overall understanding of human nature...I don't know but for me this thread is merely validation of my long held beliefs.

You have a great talent for research Heff, one that would be a breath of fresh air in the world of investigative journalism which is a dying breed as they tend to cause the tptb problems.

Anyway not that you are taking research requests but a great sister thread to this would be an updated and heffized research thread on the fabled "Tavistock" which may be progenitor of the current psycho-social engineering world...

Hi pheonix358,

Marginalize or imprison those whose intellect and / or training allows them to see straight through your efforts.

Take control of any University courses that may bring awareness of your actions to the upcoming generation. This knowledge must be suppressed by any means necessary. Make course structures such that everyone passes with little difficulty diluting the entire field of study.

Make the average people fear your agents.

Just wanted to drop a quick note to suggest that this is not their approach at all.

DARPA is crowd-sourcing its projects and announcing contests with giant prizes for winners.

They have changed their tactic (if that ever was their tactic, it wasn't during the cold-war, for instance; again: see John Nash, Game-Theory and cybernetics) and they are trying to turn it into a big exciting research party.

There's no subterfuge, it's all right there where Hef posted it.

One way of looking at it might be that this is no longer, if it ever was, a secret, carefully plotted course; it's a drag race. .
