One wouldn't think that two people with the credentials of Paula and Petraeus, could be this stupid,

Think about it, she is an expert in counterintelligence yet she openly sends love letters to Petraeus, you know they know they are being monitored.

Petraeus is the best and the brightest but he allows this to happen.

Yes, they allowed themselves to be exposed.

Not sure why.

And then there is their husband and wife, they all knew.

This entire episode is fraudulent - even those parts of it that seem 'real' to you and to others. Its a psy-op - so we mustn't be so naive as to actually believe any of it. This is merely a smaller version of 9/11 and its based on the same techniques - another manifestation of psychological trickery. All of my posts on this topic are done with that in mind. I am not making any contributions to the reality of this situation - I am merely pointing to its falsehood.

How convenient. Petraeus can't/won't be testifying.
Why?
This is what I don't get about ConGressional hearings. If a person steps down from position
that doesn't mean they don't know anything.
This happens in banking also. So and so isn't CEO anymore so he can't testify.

I have the sense from what I've read the whole Bengazi thing had less to do with the CIA than with
former military hired by contractor groups in service to big oil.
Was there any side deals going on in gun running?
Why would they need to base that out of Libya when there are so many other hip pocket countries available. such as Iraq and the Green Zone.
Or Turkey itself.
That's the part that doesn't make sense to me.

On the topic of alleged infidelities. Petraeus married the daughter of the West Point base commander, or some such.
He married her as a social/rank climber.
It's no shock that he was brought down by one himself.

Poetic. Now I hope somebody sends Holly to one of these makeover shows and we get to see some nice
before/after pics.

I suppose she really doesn't give a dam, though.
What do we really know about her other than she wanted to take homely to an art form?

Initially, I thought Petraeus was forced out because he has been among high up intel and military leaders talking about distancing the U S from Israel.

But today's New York Post and New York Times report he was felled by a catfight between two women, neither his wife. A woman got threats from Broadwell and complained to the FBI, which then said it stumbled across the affair the CIA director was having.

Yes, with every email and message going through Carnivore it is amazing to think that no one knew about what the two ....and now maybe three...lovebirds were up to. But we are programmed to just accept the press releases that are fed to the press, which considers them gospel.

This just shows our spooks are not very good at sneaking around. That is the official version...and thus the true one.

The soap opera also reflects the quality and morality of our intel in general...considering that 1,500 metallurgical, chemical and structural engineers conclude that under the laws of physics the towers fell from a controlled demolition. ae911.org But Petraues and Broadwell were instead looking for truth under a desk.

I spent two hours in a Colorado Springs library, watching the engineers' honest and courageous effort to deprogram mass consciousness from false thought. The Congressional intel committees show less awareness and courage than we should feel comforbable with.

I am late to this thread party. But, weighing in again.
It shows such duplicity all around in US thinking.
If you plan and manage an undeclared war or two that kills untold innocents from arms length via drones, it's just dandy and you can get promoted and lots of shiny medals of "honor".
Have an affair with a probable double agent for Israel and it's just over the line going to be a career ender.

Unless you are the President of the US and it happened in the Oval Office with an intern.

There is no rhyme or reason for anything anymore because there is no set standard that anybody in power
follows or flames their feet are held to.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but why is this man being hunted because he got some on the side? What is the problem?

When I first saw "Petraeus Resigning", I immediately thought it was because of his comments towards Israel. I figured good old Abe Foxman and AIPAC were at it again. But then I hear it is because he had an affair? The Israel angle makes more sense, with the affair being a cover story.

Alumni Symposium 2012 Paula Broadwell

youtu.be...

“Now I don’t know if a lot of you heard this, but the CIA annex had actually had taken a couple of Libya militia members prisoner. And they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try to get these prisoners back. So that’s still being vetted.”

“The challenging thing for Gen. Petraeus,” she stated, “is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this – they had correspondence with the CIA station chief in Libya, within 24 hours they kind of knew what was happening.”

she had said the military could have sent reinforcements.
www.israelnationalnews.com...
“They were requesting the – it’s called the C-in-C’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex.”

Near the end of the speech.

I want to add she sure throws the word "WE" around.

I'm very interested to hear more about this OTHER other woman.
WHY, for example, do we receive Broadwell's name within 1 hour of the story breaking, yet we still do not know ANYTHING about this other woman?
Could it be that she is, in actuality, a much greater person of interest...perhaps someone in the administration?

Remember, the investigation was initiated after Broadwell was tracked sending emails through Petraeus' email account to this other woman (WHY use his account?)
Perhaps the actual threat this 'other' woman really posed was NOT of a romantic nature. Perhaps it was political blackmail.

Okay....HERE is the 'OTHER' other woman:

UPDATE: The Florida woman who allegedly received the harassing e-mails from Paula Broadwell was 37-year-old Jill Kelley, the State Department’s liaison to the military’s Joint Special Operations Command, a military official tells the Associated Press.

The unidentified woman was not a family member nor in the government, reports the New York Times. Yet the e-mails Broadwell sent seemed to indicate she thought the woman and Petraeus were beginning a relationship. Although there is no evidence that was the case it raised fears that the CIA director was involved in a messy personal situation that could leave him vulnerable to blackmail. Although there was also concern that Broadwell had obtained classified information investigators ended up concluding Petraeus wasn't the one who gave it to her.

INTERESTING...Jill Kelly works in the State Department.

We Now Know Who Petraeus’ Other Other Woman Is

Yesterday we told you that the only reason the Petraeus scandal came to light was because his mistress Paula Broadwell was sending harassing emails to another woman. Thanks to an AP report, we now know who this woman is. Jill Kelley, the State Department's liaison to the military's Joint Special Operations Command, is the woman who was on the receiving end. She lives in Tampa, Florida and according to the AP saw Petraeus "often." Jill Kelley is not to be confused with pornographic actress and AVN hall of famer, Jill Kelly. Now that we know that someone from the State Department might have been involved in this love triangle, this situation just got a whole lot murkier.

Was THIS letter to the NYT written by Broadwell's husband in July?

Did The NY Times' Ethicist Inadvertently Give Advice About David Petraeus Affair?

The question stems from the July 13th edition of Chuck Klosterman's The Ethicist advice column.

My wife is having an affair with a government executive. His role is to manage a project whose progress is seen worldwide as a demonstration of American leadership. (This might seem hyperbolic, but it is not an exaggeration.) I have met with him on several occasions, and he has been gracious. (I doubt if he is aware of my knowledge.) I have watched the affair intensify over the last year, and I have also benefited from his generosity. He is engaged in work that I am passionate about and is absolutely the right person for the job. I strongly feel that exposing the affair will create a major distraction that would adversely impact the success of an important effort. My issue: Should I acknowledge this affair and finally force closure? Should I suffer in silence for the next year or two for a project I feel must succeed? Should I be “true to my heart” and walk away from the entire miserable situation and put the episode behind me? NAME WITHHELD

Obviously, there's no way of knowing for sure whether Broadwell's husband Scott wrote the question, but the timeline of the affair with the column seems to matchup with what we know so far. And certainly, Petraeus' work was "seen worldwide as a demonstration of American leadership."

Is Paula a Mossad double agent? I can totally believe Netanyahu getting rid of Petraeus if they thought he was endangering Israel.

This story in light of who is involved as it is being presented in the media is totally unbelievable.

Or....

It's not lost on me that all these juicy details are getting linked to notoriously liberal sites (Slate, WaPo). Does anyone think maybe Petraeus was a target and Paula an operative?

I know that it isn't important, but has anyone found a photo of Jill Kelley?

I couldn't find any in the news stories concerning her. I looked for a bio, didn't find that. I did an image search, one stood out as looking like Paula, to some degree. The woman was wearing a Quinnipiac University shirt.
