Is ATS chat worth it?

Chat is the most fun you can have on ats.
Yes there are USUALLY people to talk to and sometimes my guts hurt from laughing so much.

I say get your post count up and give it a day in court.

If you use firefox just forget about it. The chat doesn't work well with firefox.

I have firefox and I get in just fine.
Some people have issues with their browsers though from what I hear.

I can't seem to get chat to work on this droid mobile, because its java.
Plz ATS look into solutions for that.

Also in response to the negative comments about chat, yes its true to a degree. Many chat regulars tend towards closed mindedness, and they automatically reject the truth of reality.

When I go in ATS chat, I am always showing new conspiracies I uncovered , and typically half or more ppl will freak out, get mad, and tell me to leave. Why? Because they obviously think ATS Chat is about silly meaningless crap like their dog and how they fed it today.

I can hardly stand going there because it seems to me discussion of history or conspiracies isn't really wanted.
A lot of closed minds there, but not all of course.

Thankfully some of the cool ppl go there too, so that's why I keep returning from time to time.

If you see me on chat sometime, than lets talk about real ATS topics.

Small talk is for other websites IMHO
We ought to talk Big round here.

Chat is chat,making a conspiracy thread is different.

Chat is sometimes serious and sometimes hilarious.
I tend to talk about food most times and wisecrack and make jokes.

I also know of someone Muzzle who recently told me they like talking to you about the conspiracy stuff in chat.

I never cared to follow them to Skype. I think its lame software.

Oh yeah, and since most ppl don't like me ( I always talk
about history and conspiracies mostly) , and so they never invited me.
I criticize people too much.

Oh well, not like I wanted to go chat about juvenile pointless crap anyway.

Yeah true, I guess I am mostly thinking about 5 or 6 specific ppl I have gotten into it with. On many occasions.
I do enjoy heated debates though.

Wait a minute! Just wait a minute!!! lol I think some here are talking about writing posts and calling them chat, while others are talking about chat as in instant message. Sooo, which one are you referring to, Lord Skanda?

Either way, you need to thicken up your skin because there a lots of members here that think the meaning of chat is to compete, insult, and spew utter nonsense.

You've been on my friends list for almost the length of time I've been at ATS. I don't know if that's good or bad for you, since I'm not exactly Mr. Popularity around here either, but I appreciate having you around either way.

As to chat, I don't go there because I just can't type fast enough to keep up. I tried it once, along with Wildtimes. Chat seems to be mostly for members to get to know each other a bit, not too much in the way of conspiracies on there from what I saw.

Give it a try OP, once you get your posts in, you may like it. I'd say it's worth it if you want to get to know some of our members better.

I'm a regular in chat and I can say that often times many interesting conversations take place on varying topics. Chat is also a nice place to joke around a little, having fun getting to know new people. There are some members that come in that have been degrading and have shown some narrowmindedness, yes, but it does not happen often - and is bound to happen at points with the number of members this site has. Most of us there know each other well and interact with each other well. All in all, it's a place where I have gotten to know members better and have had a good time in doing so.

Chat is not the place to have a serious conversation. If you have a question, you can ask it, and you may get a straight answer....or not!

If you want to B.S. around with others, joke, be casual, then chat is good. If you want some serious conversation, your best bet is to make a thread, as the other posters have said.

Everybody should check it out at least once when they get the chance.

So, over all most people would agree that it is a good laugh as well as interesting?

Chat is awesome here , just remember that its not always a full room and it takes a while to get to know whos who and such.
I've been in chat off and on since 2003 or so.
It cam be magic.

Oh boy, the message board is already too fast and too much for me to handle.

I like to pause and think, something a lot of people should do more often, and something some people shouldn't do more often.
