I believe this is due to a mass media that runs cover for Obama, rather than be critical of him or his polices like they were under Bush. I went to a Halloween party last night that went much like this guy's experiment. I found that every Obama supporter I talked to had no idea that any of these things were his policies.

A lot of Bush's supporters hated many of his policies as well.
With an extreme left and extreme right political system, most of us are having to settle for something we don't want in order to defend our livelihoods from something we don't believe in.

We need a third party that's actually genuinely centrist.

We need a third party that the media will acknowledge the existence of.
We need a media that isn't politically bias.

Oh please. I remember mass media outrage and protests when Bush carried out policies like this, but now Obama supporters turn a blind eye.Obama supporters dont KNOW anything. They're happy to join the mass media in rank hypocrisy.

You know there is more than Romney and Obama running for president right?
You don't have to choose evil at all.

I think we're seeing a repeat of 2008 in that way. A LARGE number of people are in love with the image and the idea, not the man himself. Obama, for his part, has made a career out of being a blank canvas and someone others can project their hopes or whatever else onto without lots of established positions interfering with that.

Personally I think it's exactly how people should select a winner of..say...American Idol. It's the absolute last way in imagination a leader with the power to KILL those who are voting for him ought to be selected. As you note, AT LEAST KNOW what the man you're voting for stands for and plans to do.

Agreed and agreed.

The present situation is like a dark science fiction story.

Obama supporters dont KNOW anything

I know everything he does, and I doubt Romney wouldn't do the exact same bad things, plus bankrupt half of America. The choice is clear.

You have a grave misunderstanding of America if you think there is anything extremely left about any power Political Party in the United States. America is extremely right centered, both parties are in fact right leaning in staunch manner. A little bit of leftism, a move towards moderation, and people scream socialism. They don't know any better. Compare our political systems and values to the rest of the world and you'll see that we are a very right leaning nation.

There is no power base of "extreme leftism" here. Though, I wish there was.

As for the thread:

I heard Obama neglected to pet Bo for an entire week, I think that needs a thread too.

You know what the most ironic thing about you posting this is...well there's a few actually. First you should go through his youtube channel and find his videos covering Occupy protests and maybe you'll agree with how ironic this is.

You shat all over the Occupy movement. The movement was labeled a re-election effort for Obama. Yet, though ultimately it was comprised mostly of people Left of Liberal (center) these are people that protest Obama's policies, his continuation and expansions of wars, his light hand with the wrong doings of Wall Street, his failure to bring charges against ANYONE from the Bush administration, his signing of the NDAA, his expansion of spying on US citizens and much much more.

Another irony is your take on the media... the media is not Liberal biased it is corporate biased, just like our elected/appointed officials are. Their bias falls on all sides of the political spectrum.

I think you'll find we could make the exact same video with Bush supporters.

There is a show where I live where they have a hobby of asking Americans questions. Jay Leno has done it as well. I don't actually even think this is just Americans, I honestly believe a lot of people aren't that familiar with what is going on; they just don't pay attention.

It may be convenient for you just now to abuse the intelligence of Obama supporters, but if you wanna bet me $2000 on it, I can make the same video with just about any demographic (no you cannot say 'members of mensa quizzed on science and maths') ... it probably won't take more than a couple of weeks, and I won't even have to take a day off work.

Really? He now has powers equal to those Adolf Hitler had. How is that less of an evil??? Or do you believe Hitler's powers were judiciously applied and warranted?

Does he really? Or are you drinking so much of the "stuff" that you're blinded by anything that doesn't support your fringe beliefs?

Calm down. Seriously, this isn't GLP.

Did you actually read the OP or did you just watch his video and notice he must have written 'something' above it?

Th OP was using the video as an EXAMPLE, not the point and it was to show what he personally saw and experienced among his own friends and people he was meeting face to face at a social event.

Now that IS a tad different than the Man on the Street nonsense everyone from Leno to Letterman laughs about when it's done on EITHER side of politics.

OP... did I misread you too? I could have sworn the above was your point?

Research the powers he gained from section 1031 of S1867( NDAA 2012), add that to the earlier declaration of the US as an active war zone and the fact that bammy can declare anybody to be a "terrorist". Any doubt about whether this bill permits the military detention of U.S. citizens was dispelled entirely today when an amendment offered by Dianne Feinstein — to confine military detention to those apprehended “abroad,” i.e., off U.S. soil — failed by a vote of 45-55. Furthermore, Senator Lindsey Graham clearly said, in absolutely no uncertain terms whatsoever, “In summary here, [section] 1032, the military custody provision, which has waivers and a lot of flexibility doesn’t apply to American citizens. [Section] 1031, the statement of authority to detain does apply to American citizens, and it designates the world as the battlefield including the homeland.”

In the case of the PATRIOT Act (which is overwhelmingly used in cases that are unrelated to terrorism in every way), there is in fact a secret interpretation of the PATRIOT Act, as revealed by Senator Ron Wyden back in May.

Last October, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit in an attempt to force the government to reveal the details of the secret interpretation of the PATRIOT Act.

This is especially true when one considers the fact that lawyers for the Obama administrations reaffirmed that American citizens “are legitimate military targets when they take up arms with al-Qaida,” although we all know that no proof or trial is required to make that assertion. As evidenced by the case of Anwar al-Awlaki, no trial is needed for our illegitimate government to assassinate an American citizen. If they can assassinate any one American, no citizen is safe anywhere. Put down the kool aid. bho is just as evil as Hitler. bush was no better.
