No.. you see.. there is a super heated column of air rising up from the volcano causing the atmospheric pressure above it to be lessened, causing a safer path for meteors to follow down to the ground before they burn up.

And then there are other pics of UFO's over this volcano.. ( page 2 of this thread) Funny how the news video and some of those pictures resembles missiles. I wonder is someone with a star wars defense system is in space shooting down at the volcano.. perhaps an attempt to stop the eruptions.

I'm not an "aliens" type of individual, but regarding kinetics...

There is a little-talked-about geo-engineering trick, that (as another individual guessed) actually uses kinetic weapons. The idea was that if sent down through the crust, it would relieve pressure and even create a new way for the lava to rise (up through the normal means), and then converge and fall into the hole left by the "rod" down back to the pool far below. There are chemical compounds that the rod itself was composed of that would be able to excite the metals in the lava flow when melted, along with gas interactions, etc.

Alternatively, I don't know what happened with the project because if it was not angled just right, it caused the complete opposite reaction whereas the pressure would be re-directed into an even more dangerous area. But it most cases, it was helpful. It is a soundless process, there is no "plume" that follows insertion (think dropping a pencil from high into a thick cream). Wasn't allowed initially because of unforeseen long-term effects but after seeing this video.. I honestly was left with my mouth agape. The very first thing I thought of. If I can find some documents I'll link them here later, perhaps, but I just don't know. I don't understand the fault lines, geothermics/geophysics of the area, or enough in general about tectonics to guess at what the benefits would be if (a big if) this was even what occurred here. Thought it was a cancelled program. If it's classified then I apologize, like I said, I didn't know anymore and just wanted to share some information about how it was theorized to work.

Again, like in the Thor project, it was initially for destruction, so... /shrug

Here's a link that discusses in generals terms what the Pentagon realized about China's plans (follow the links on the latter half of the page to the documents) regarding their using volcanos and such themselves, even. That didn't happen here, I'm nearly 100% sure, but just showing validity of theory.

A side note, the US doesn't use kinetics as large as what's shown in the video, btw. Let that thought leave your mind for possibilities. At best, my personal theory is just yes a lens flare, or if technology involved, The local government there downing one of their satellites into the crater without fanfare of shooting it down and causing more debris.

Or could that be another military experiment to send a probe deep into the earth?

Umm..those particular images are just long night exposures of a plane passing by. I get those occasionally when taking 30 sec exposures of the stars....pretty common.

Sure. Have a look at the rest of that site though, all you need to do is click "next" or "previous" and it takes you to other images and descriptions. Quite a nicely put together site.

I'm curious why nobody has mentioned that the web cam for the volcano is not a live streaming camera? It is time lapse images. The object over the volcano could easily be identified as an aircraft.

Looks like an ICBM to me. Maybe it was sent to quell the volcano. Or worse, it was sent to make it erupt. Very interesting OP.

I asked her to watch the video and interpret for me.

Its a stock standard news feature which was covering the eruption of Popocatépetl in Mexico but during filming, they caught footage of a cylinder object entering the volcano.

The female scientist seen half way during the video says the object is approx 1km in length and is moving at the speed of a plane. She also remarks that they were expecting an explosion or sound based on the objects speed and trajectory but there was no sound.

The lady in the video says it could not be a meteorite or anything like that, because there would be a reaction right after it enters, because of the gases and all that, the speed and the crash, but nothing happens, it looks as if it went though cleanly and that's the part that makes me think it is not a real object, but who knows.

One thing i remembered from this is, the way the aliens arrive at earth in the war of the worlds movie

She also assumes that it is not part of the original video as a result of the above mentioned in this paragraph.

Perhaps the UFO that flew into the crater at high speed was designed to drill down to the fault line (or create a fault line) which triggered the earthquake farther north. It will be interesting to see if any other major events occur around the America's this week in addition to the earthquake and "superstorm" Sandy.

Here's more about the VOLCANO MISSILE.....
