Is stoning and discriminating against gays doing unto others?

Discrimination through law is quite good. Laws are permission and indeed, compulsion to discriminate against certain sub groups within the country. Perpetrators of crimes are to vigorously being discriminated against. Anyone from murderers to thieves to the lesser criminals; described by law. We discriminate a lot. This is negative discrimination and in this case quite good.

We also have positive discrimination. Love of country and our society being the highest form of positive discrimination.

Gays as, a sub group of our society, are being discriminated against by a shrinking minority of the religious right. As well, some small percentage of non-believers. Homophobia crosses the religious and political natures within humankind.

Neither of the left leaning churches nor society at large, including our political regimes, who are charged with the protection of individual rights; are doing their duty to this group that is being discriminated and denigrated without just cause.

Where in the hell is the law? And why are they not protecting the rights of gays?
Especially the Catholic law enforcement charged with prosecution of their pedophile protecting pope. A little negative discrimination would be nice here folks.

Studies on morality indicate that most have, as a first moral tenant; something that resembles, ---- do unto others. This is for both believers and non-believers.

If all people then profess to be moral, why has the unjust discrimination of our own sons and daughters not stopped?

If you cannot do unto your own children, how in hell are you ever going to learn to do unto others in your society?

Live your first moral tenant. If you cannot, then you cannot live any of the lesser ones. Please discriminate only when there is a just cause. In this issue, there is no just cause.

For evil to grow, all good people need do is nothing. You profess to be a good person on paper. All you need do is recognize that being gay is just the luck of the draw. So is the fact that you are not if you are not gay.

Regards
DL

First they came for gays.

"First they came for the Jews, but I did nothing because I'm not a Jew. Then they came for the socialists, but I did nothing because I'm not a socialist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I did nothing because I'm not a Catholic. Finally, they came for me, but by then there was no one left to help me." – Pastor Father Niemoller (1946)”

I think Islam stones gays, never heard of it in the United States, I have heard of it in Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Jesus said do unto others as they would do unto you.

So with that in mind, if you were gay would you like to be stoned by a mob of angry Christians. Hardly, the idea of do unto others was to make people reflect on their actions.

Your question though is more about Christian judgement not law. Christians are people who make just as many mistakes and can commit as many sins as non Christians. People are sinners with inherent flaws who constantly fail.
Jesus taught as an instruction of how to live, He cant make people live perfectly.
Its sad Christians and secular society think Christians are perfect or ever will be.

Now why are you attacking Christians who dont like homosexuals and ignoring those of secular society.

If I was a non Christian who hated and persecuted homosexuals you would say nothing. How quaint.

Well we don't stone or hang homosexuals. We go as far as disagreeing with their ways and if society has come to the point where disagreeing with someone and opposing thier ways is the same as hating them, then we're about to see the rise of fascism again. There's a huge difference between disagreeing with what people do and hating them. Everything has shifted towards being politically correct and whoever is not abiding by political correctness will soon be branded terrorists before too long. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion and freedom of thought are about to go bye bye.

What are you talking about "mob of angry Christians"?? We don't stone gays, we don't stone anyone for anything.

Only if they can't parallel park and do not regularly floss.

I know alot of straight people who can't do either of those. My wife can't parallel park.

That's sad.. I can parallel park a semi truck and 53' trailer.

Then she must be stoned by an angry Christian mob immediately, if not sooner.

Dude, in Indiana you have to both offside back and parallel park to get passed by the state for your CDL.
It should be the same in every state since that was the idea for having a CDL, to make it uniform.
I had to do all that to pass the test in Florida. Not with a 53' trailer, though. I was using for the test, the trailer I used for hauling a backhoe.

I drove a 18 wheeler and i have never seen anyone parallel park a 18 wheeler, and i for sure wouldn't bother trying it either. Docking is one thing but squeezing between 2 trucks like that, no way, thats asking for trouble.

Screw that, Indiana blows. The class A CDL test here in Arkansas consists of passing the pretrip, demonstrating you can shift up and down, dock, corner, serpentine and straight line back and then you get the actual road test but we never had to parallel park and offside backing is also asking for trouble but i was solo and i wouldn't offside back for nothing unless i absolutely had no other choice.

They did away with the serpentine here, now its pretrip, range test which is parallel, straightline, and offside, then a road test. Many say Indiana is one of the hardest states to get a CDL- A.

I used to drive for Schneider. Health issues forced me to quit. They kept me in New England constantly when they promised me i'd only be driving regional around my state, which turned out to be a fat lie. I hate N.Y.C., but i did get to see that giant idol to Libertas sitting off the coast of N.J.

Yet another joke thread from the king of ATS joke threads.

Here's the modus operandi of this clown:
  • Find some random scripture
  • Pontificate on how it contradicts some other part of scripture
  • Elucidate smugness
  • Quietly wonder why no one appreciates said smugness
  • Find some other random scripture
  • Rinse and repeat

Net converts to "Greatest I am"?

Zero.

Coals heaped upon head of "Greatest I am" (Romans 12:20)?

Significant.

Keep it up, burn boy. I'm sure that you'll convince someone, someday.
