Looks like we have pics of China's newest fighter, not to be confused with the J-20

This is the J-20. Note the canards and twin fin in wing configuration.

These are pics of the J-21. Note the lack of canards and the tail placement. This is smaller in size than the J-20, and shows the rapid advancement of the Chinese military aircraft development. Their engine technology is, however, said to be a decade behind.

But these are advanced fighters, and would likely be offered for sale to certain countries with which the US is not excactly best of friends.

Pakistan in particular would find an F-60 as an ideal option to counter India’s looming T-50/PAK-FA low observable fighter. Even south American, African or some Middle Eastern air arms may jump at the opportunity to acquire low-cost stealth as they have no need for the F-35′s super-avionics suite or its massive price-tag. That is if these countries would be allowed to buy the F-35 in the first place, whereas China seems to be willing to sell to almost anyone with the cash to make a deal happen! Additionally, in an aircraft like the J-21/F-60, China may have a foreign policy weapon as much as a military one. If they were to export these aircraft to their “favored” trading partners and allies, even at or below cost, it would present the US with a widespread and dispersed threat on a threatening level that we have not seen since the Cold War. Just as the US will export its military hardware to “ring” and contain China, China could do a similar thing with the F-60/J-21, a weapon system that actually matters.

From the AviationIntel website. NK, Venezuela, Iran, Pakistan would seem like candidates for sales. Syria if its still around.

Fine under computer control, if the computer crashes so does the airframe.

If the F-35 gestation is any benchmark the Chinese will have the 6th gen knock off flying before the real thing flies.

What this really tells us is that 20 year development cycles are no longer acceptable for western aircraft.

The twin follies of aircraft manufacturer consolidation and attempts to produce a jack of all trades platform has hurt us badly. When you couple that with poor computer security you have a recipe for disaster.

The F-22’s integrated avionics gives it first-look, first-shot, first-kill capability that will guarantee U.S. air dominance for the next 40 years.

Its more than just an airframe that matters.

This is the sort of advertising that sold the project to the politicians. For all you know it could be crap.

The US has to use all this advertising because they want to sell these aircraft.

Seriously, for all you know, for all the US military knows, these Chinese Fighters could have phasers, shields and transporters! You just don't know. They could have new radar, new missiles or a new laser defense system.

The US always thinks it has the best. Then they test it on third world countries and sing about the success.
