In more than six years of spying on Muslim neighborhoods, eavesdropping on conversations and cataloguing mosques, the New York Police Department's secret Demographics Unit never generated a lead or triggered a terrorism investigation, the department acknowledged in court testimony unsealed late Monday.

lol...there's been a few threads on here about this spying, and now that the resultsd are known a few people might like to take advantage of their "I told ya so!" windfall.

But at least you know how your local tax dollars have been well spent!

I would imagine if they had bugged the neghborhoods where the aipac folk lived, they would have got some real good intel.
I'm not worried about the muslims, it's the other guys who created terrorism.

Man.. The media over-exaggerates everything. A VERY small percent of Muslims are terrorists, even FBI says so. Since 1980 have been more Jewish terrorists than Muslim. I will try to find the link.

That whole scenario of nypd spying on Muslims and such, reminds me of the movie Siege with Denzel and Bruce Willis.

I'm glad they didn't find any leads and I'm not surprised.

They should go bug one or more of the following to find the terrorist plots:

CIA
Bush's
Clinton's
DOJ

etc...

The vast majority of the deaths are indeed from Muslim terrorists, according to that list.
Deaths from terrorism:
Muslim: 2972 deaths from 9/11.
Non-Muslim: 168 Timothy McVeigh
Mostly non-muslim: 38

A few of those 38 are Muslim-related, but even if we ignore those, the 2972 means that 94% of all deaths on that list were the result of extremist Muslims, and more than that if you count the few muslims among the other 38 deaths.

I wonder what results they would have gleaned if they had put that effort into investigating police corruption instead.
