No coups please.

They are bloody and destructive.

What about mass strike on any corporation that got bailouts?

Star! I agree with you. We need to fight. We need to fight the mindless robots who keep voting for Democrats and Republicans. For some reason, people seem to be so invested in their party, that they cannot see the damage they do and the crimes they commit even when it is obvious and blatant. Democrats are too busy pointing fingers and holding a microscope to the Republicans to be able to see how they themselves are destroying the Constitution and the country. Ditto for the Republicans. Or maybe they are all just too busy fighting for the almighty dollar that we do not matter to them anymore.

Oh they fear the people...

They fear the special interest people...
They fear the Corporate people...

I could go on and on.

We don't need more fear in Washington. We need more courage. Courage to work together toward a better America and a better world.

Leave the fear behind, its holding us back.

Listen folks, we get the government we deserve. This is a republic.
Lets say for a moment we did indeed get every single politician out of office...well, then what? well, then we put new people in, whom have the same -exact- values and motivations as the ones before.

a day later, you took out the bankers, but now you want someone to loan you money so you can buy a house...so you find a new banker.

The problem isn't the people, and its not really the system. Its the method of information. We need stiff rules not on politicians but on media. We need mental reprogramming, not just swap the faces of the politicians.
When I turn on a news channel, and see some "journalist" spouting his/her opinion on things factually incorrect, there needs to be heavy peneltys for that station when misleading. News channels should be void of commentators and any opinion for or against anything and be only sources of information without spin.

Its easy to elect someone, then shake your fist at the person you just elected...that removes all responsibility from yourself to begin with (because we are soo perfect and know best after all.) and takes the target off of the actual problem, which is twisted information.

But anyhow, its the system we got for now. I am not saying its a good system, but its the best we can do considering there is such a clash of ideas on what is utopia. How do citizens unite and demand better when person 1 wants a socialist society and the person right next to him wants anarchy?

The disconnect is not understanding the requirement for compromise...which makes nobody happy, but will make everyone settle down.

Whenever I see threads like this, I chuckle a little bit.

If the OP and all the others starring and flagging and agreeing with him really feel the way they are claiming they do on the internet
Then why aren't any of you doing anything???

Are you just wanting others to do it for you??? We see these threads all the time, someone claims the only solution is to revolt...and then they get angry at OTHERS for not doing anything about it.

I don't think we need a revolution...so that is why I'm not doing anything...but for those of you who think we do...what is your excuse for just sitting on your arse behind a keyboard???

Try to keep things nice first, in an attempt to get some real change. Neither mainline party can be trusted, as too much money is involved.

But if we do manage to hit the big reset button which would allow for some greater changes... Anyone up for considering sortition instead of elections in regards to at least one set of representatives? Thoughts on that one?

Why do people think that violence is the answer in regards to fixing government? Let's assume that you get your coup and there is a military takeover of America. What exactly would change?

Romanticized scenarios aside, what would probably happen is there would be a power vacuum, which would be dominated by the military, which would quickly sell out our country to foreign interests. Basically, you just shed a bunch of blood and kill a bunch of pigs only to take a step backwards and find yourself in a worse spot.

You can't just snap your fingers and fix a nation. I don't think there is any possible way to restore America to her former glory, at least not in the near future, and perhaps not ever.

What gave us our freedom was our united effort, along with help from the French, to drive out the British and escape their tyranny. As a nation we're now more divided and distracted than we've ever been. We're kept occupied and entertained at home by garbage programming, we're fed endless propaganda and misinformation, and there is a great disconnect between us as people thanks to the emergence of Social Media.

What we had in the late 1700's was a very unique opportunity to create a free nation, and over a span of 200 years we've become an abomination to the ideal of freedom.

Star! I think that most of us have had a feeling of impending change of some sort lately. Hopefully it will not involve FEMA railcars and coffins.

Last thing we need is a military coup. Usually military coups end up in dictatorships. The unlawful government has to be removed by the people not some military force taking power. Until the American people find their roots and heart in liberty we are stuck with what we got. Nothing will happen until they are feeling enough pain.

We don't want war here ask any combat vet what a war torn country is like. We want to avoid that here. Some will say it is impossible but its not. If enough people ever wake up we can take things back without violence. Violence is always an absolute last resort...

Simple non-participation and civil disobedience could take back this country. But none of it will work unless enough people stand together.

How about we quit using the banks for one week? That would bring them to their knees!

You are correct.
We constantly expect the "revolution" to come from someone other than ourselves. The thing is it has to start with each individual internally! WE THE PEOPLE have to "WAKE UP" otherwise any "revolution" will end up doing the same thing over and over and over and over again.

What does "waking up" entail?

Where does one even BEGIN? Not to push this important subject onto someone else but I have been listening to a podcast called WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING and honestly? It has shifted my worldview and my inner thinking about EVERYTHING. I have learned a LOT about myself, the outside culture, what the problems inherant to our system, the problems inherant with our thinking. The external traps and "occulted" information that has kept the masses ignorant and vulnerable.

I highly recommend listening to it.

whatonearthishappening.com...

While it is recommended that you start at EPISODE 1.. (as each podcast really builds upon each subsequent one) I would point out a few poignent ones

well, actually, if you go to the podcast link you see what each podcast clearly talks about. Mark Passio is very organized and is hard hitting, without being Alex Jonesy. He is NOT Alex Jones.. he has a plethora of quality information and he is very balanced .

Anyway.. there is my plug Enjoy.

What I find amusing is that, when there are opportunities to make some differences, many people whom are about shaking their fist tend to defend doing nothing.
Such as when Occupy was starting up, then suddenly the revolutionaries went from lets all revolt to..well, ya, but only if its for right wing causes.

funny stuff

Whats the saying, may you one day have a life where you don't hope the world will end tomorrow.

Star! Great ideas. I think that people should start facebook pages that express dissatisfaction with the Democrats and Republicans without going so far as to say something that will get you in trouble on it. Maybe pages calling out individual politicians. Also comment on the facebook pages of your local TV stations and newspapers. I have sent editorials to the Washington Post, New York Times and other newspapers expressing my opinions, but have not been published. They are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Replace politicians with scientists, scholars, and professors. Let them be anonymous to the people, but accountable for their actions. No more elections. Good science and economy behind closed doors and let the people have wise rule verses clever political tricks.

If we are dreaming..might as well dream big. Cameras in the face of politicians are the biggest threat to sane government...

Benjamin Franklin said it best, "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty".

We allowed the Patriot Act to pass and still allow it's core message to erode our freedom.

I hate to say it but at least the French take to the streets when they disagree with their government.

Americans are no longer living in the land of the free, perhaps that is because they are no longer brave enough to stand up for what this country was built to stand for.

Why would they fear the people?

Most all local police have been militarized.
They have a nationwide Trappnet in place.
Cell phone users have no reasonable expectation of privacy and can be monitored without cause or warrant.
Open war upon the free press, dissent and the right to free speech.
Clear and blatant fraud in our primaries.
Secret Police.
Indefinite detention-no due process.
Patriot act-Enabling act.
Executive orders limiting the free press.
Please add to this list, as there are many more examples or tyranny!

Orwell would be so proud! I would say be careful talking like this, less you disappear or murder suicide yourself! What we oppose here are real monsters!

The belief in the four freedoms of common humanity--the belief in man, created free, in the image of God--is the crucial difference between ourselves and the enemies we face today. In it lies the absolute unity of our alliance, opposed to the oneness of the evil we hate. Here is our strength, the source and promise of victory.

Aggressive war, sudden armed attack, secret police, these must be forever circumvented.

FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT
