Is he asking for prople to volunteer? That's been done, and is being done. Is he asking for poeple to meditate an hour a day? No comment. Is he asking people to think hard about world problems and come up with the solutions which somebody will implement?

When they say the world's best minds I suppose they mean scientists.
Now there's a huge disjuncture between science and popular culture.

Many top scientists have advanced GM foods and nuclear power, which some radical groups and their social followers will NEVER accept.

So what's the point of having top scientific minds when the people only accept pseudoscience and crap?

Maybe our top minds should be people who channel dolphins.
That would make the masses happy.
AIDS is caused by stress and the lack of happy vitamins.
No need for condoms or big bad pharma.
We can stop war and cause peace with protests and music festivals.
Capitalism is bad, and socialist countries with massive pollution are good.
All the natural disasters happen because of gay sex.
That's why homophobic countries like Uganda, Zimbabwe, Iran and North Korea are doing so well!
