I don't think there is one person on this site that truly gives no weight to "star justification" whatsoever.

Let's say Overlord made this long, rambling thread, fussing at us for some miscellaneous thing that we have done to garner his attention.
"Blah blah, don't do this and explaining why and being very articulate and serious and Overlord-ish and this and that and because this is the way it is because blah and so on and so forth...."

Then he goes back to check the replies after a few days and has zilch stars and goose egg flags. You know he would be wondering why.

I say what I say on ATS because that is what I want to say, not in an attempt to harvest stars. But sometimes when I say certain things, it is encouraging to know that there is at least one person that can relate to where I'm comin' from....ya dig?

Sometimes I wish I could give certain comments more than just a star, like an member to member applause or something.
We need a "BOOYAH!!" star...lol.

How could they possibly know who you dole out stars to and who you don't??

Star whoring is done without reference, to my knowledge.

I don't have the patience to give people stars, only if their post is very informative and interesting.

Flags are different, because if you put any work into your thread, or have any passion for the topic
you want to expose your ideas to as many as possible....

But I would rather be rivaled.....IN FACT RIVAL ME....I want to be the most rivaled member on ATS

speaking of getting stars...i was just curious about the censorship on ATS.

this guy gets 14 stars but his post was removed...i just find it interesting that 14 ppl agrees with the poster but a certain Mod felt the need to remove it??
