First off, the sword freaking rules. If you like them check out Torche's new album Harmonicraft
Secondly...
Dude, wait, what? When did i ever claim to have the ability to give anyone rights? That is not what i believe or profess at all. I made it very clear.
I believe that our rights come directly from god NOT ME. If you do not believe the same way i do then i made it clear that you could think of your own
individuals rights as being naturally imbued to you by the creator. I'm not the first to suggest this,Socrates ( do you believe in socrates?) made
similar arguments. Unless you are trying to make this into some sort of argument about god. But i already listed an alternative source if you do not
subscribe to belief in god .
I'll lay out my belief in a secular manner, hopefully it will help you understand why i believe the way i believe. I'm not here to argue about where
these rights come from.
Life desires to LIVE and actively seeks preservation of itself therefore you have the natural-right to live and to defend yourself from myself or
others.
Life expresses itself. It expresses itself via physical displays of information or via its own actions. If it's actions are harmful towards other
life then it is the right of the opposing life-form to defend itself. We can go into finer and finer points but we will ultimately comeback to the
same basic rights.
Again, i am proposing this from a secular perspective because i understand that not everyone believes in god. I am ok with your disbelief because i
feel that is your right to disbelieve is god given. Again, if you do not believe in god you could say that i believe that it is your natural right to
do so.
If you want to compound and argue against me citing church doctrine and scary chapters from the bible you will still get the same response from me.
YOU ARE FREE. At least that is what i believe...other people...not so much. I am not them. I speak for myself and only for myself. And i will speak
for others if they give me permission to do so.
No matter what any book, or person tells you, you have rights and no man , including myself can add to or take them away from you.
Why is that so hard to understand?
