NOOOO.... more like I can't believe how stupid that reporter is. That guy is smart. You don't go disagreeing with establishment policies publically. You'll be asking for problems. Once it goes public if you disagree and speak your mind, you'll be red flagged as some kind of terrorist and then black bagged. Just keep your head down and your mouth shut and you'll fly below the radar and not have any problems. Speak out and you get red flagged. Then you got all kinds of problems like audits, problems at airports, fines, fees, survallence, inspections, and a miserable life. Just say hail hitler so the vampires leave you alone. I'm talking from experience here.

People like that are the reson that my ATS name is what it is. Most people are staring at the world thinking that they know whats going on, but it's the subjective whispers of the media/government that make it so people can paint that picture.... on the back of their eyelids....

No way I say let them come....Those of you who are to much of cowards to speak your own opinion publicly (whether there is fear of repercusions or not) don't deserve the freedom you seek. If your scared just because of the government putting you on a watchlist, then I say "Grow a pair", If i'm not on a watchlist somewhere then i'm probably not doing enough to get other people around me to wake the @#%$ up. Stand up for what you believe in with no fear of an attack comming becausde of it. If you don't, then don't bitch when they take away your right for free speach.

Edit: a quote just for you....

You people are just absolutely crazy. Everyone just wants to FORCE FEED their own OPINIONS in other peoples THROATS. This man has his right to an opinion, but you BASH him for it? Now, I know people like doing that.. bashing other opinions.. but this man's opinion is something that is so minor that he just wants to keep to himself. First of all, he was approached and questioned. Secondly, a brief summary of a bill was terribly represented in the reporters words leading to the man believing that this guy is unlegit therefore answering questions to tickle the interest of the camera crew near him. Third.. What the heck guys? Stop with this nonsense... You people are just crazy.... Learn to live. Accept reality and change it if you feel passionate about it. But SHUT THE F- UP about other peoples opinion.

In every revolution that has happened in the past, this guy would have been on the other side of the fence, and probably regarded as the enemy by revolutionaries.
Even the weather underground stated that "All americans are the enemy", they couldn't bring themselves to whole heartedly attack the general population though, not with any real venom, they could have caused much more damage than they did.
In my siganature i say; "If our allies are so stupid that it is impossible to ever educate them to the truth of our "relationship".
Our enemies will never do it.

This means that the american government or any government is making an ally of you forever, by keeping you stupid.
If an enemy of the government wants to gain traction with a message or an ideal that is counter to the messages you have been filled with your whole lives, first they have to educate the "ally" of government, this ally is the general population.
By keeping the people willfully stupid they are creating a condition which is almost impossible to undo, firstly re-educating a population with the truth, a population that regards sloth and idiocy as something worthwhile being worshiped, to try and educate the masses to the truth of the relationship between them and their government, will be an incredibly difficult thing to do. for anyone attempting it.

"If our allies are so stupid that it is impossible to ever educate them to the truth of our "relationship".
Our enemies will never do it.

This really goes to show that the elderly are not always the wisest, in fact most people who are waking up seem to be fairly young.
Anyway I think the corporations would be proud at the level of ignorance of this old man....

We are in it up to our eyeballs. This is the reason the government is getting away with it. People thinking it's ok for them to pass this kind of law, because they don't believe they'll ever use it against them. The guy can be dismissive all he wants, but don't whine when they come a knockin'.

I've never met a Liberal who actually supported the NDAA bill. It's a POS bill -- but it's annoying to have My Cousin Vinnie pretend to be a reporter in front of his brother in law, because they just can't find a Liberal who can be ignorant enough and sound like anything Obama says is fine with him.

Conservatives just can't even pretend to be Liberals in a convincing way -- because they are color blind. It's the only way I can describe how off this performance was.

But if you want to Rant how the NDAA is a fascist power grab -- carry on. Just don't expect me to respect how you've "surprised" a stupid Liberal. It looks like the ACORN pimp expose.

And if the CRANKY OLD FARTS had gotten John McCain elected -- he'd be authorizing the NDAA as well. Don't kid yourself.

Obama is only a kinder and gentler form of Fascism.

Note that of the over 100 filibusters the Republicans used -- they signed this bill in the dead of night in a bipartisan way, and two weeks later signed the military authorization bill which allowed someone to be made a non citizen (the NDAA doesn't actually authorize assassination of US citizens -- you need both it an the military authorization act because it works on NON US citizens -- it's just anyone can be made a non-citizen by the same authority that executes them).

>> I am willing to support Conservatives if they have an honest beef with the way the country is going. But they have to STOP pretending this is Socialism, and stop going after the Kenya birth angle, and stop pretending Obama is stupid because he is demonstrably intelligent. The Right keeps repeating nonsense and pretending NOT to be upset at a black version of George Bush.

You can't get support from the other side if you continually blame them for what you are guilty of.

Well if someone states an opinion they are opened to criticism no matter who they are. Right or wrong, it doesn't matter. Honestly, this is what free speech is all about and if that was the case then no one would have the right to bash Obama for being a dumbass or anyone else who acts like a 'n-word' (an ignorant person). No, I am not racist but if you want to have a discussion with me about me using this word go right ahead.

Trouble is that you are led to believe that Obamney will be different. We need real candidates not more plastic men!

From John Boozman!

Thank you for contacting me to express your thoughts on Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (FEC). It is good to hear from you.

As you may know, S.J.Res.33, was introduced by Senator Bernard Sanders (I-VT) on December 8, 2011. This resolution proposes an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to exclude for-profit corporations from the rights given to natural persons by the Constitution, prohibit corporate spending in all elections, and affirm the authority of Congress and the States to regulate corporations and to regulate and set limits on all election contributions and expenditures. This resolution was introduced in response to the January 2010 Supreme Court case Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. S.J.Res.33 has been referred to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.

While some people are concerned with the outcome of this case, what the Court really decided was that corporations deserve the same First Amendment rights as citizens. Justice Kennedy states in the decision that political speech is "indispensable to decision making in a democracy, and this is no less true because the speech comes from a corporation rather than an individual." As a staunch defender of the First Amendment, I have to agree. In addition, several important things remain unchanged in light of this decision. For example, incorporated entities still may not make contributions directly to candidates or PACs or coordinate with them on their campaigns; foreign nationals still may not direct spending or engage in other election activities; and disclosure and disclaimer requirements remain the same. As an elected official, I took an oath to uphold the Constitution, and I believe that upholding the First Amendment for all Americans is vitally important to our country. Please be assured that should this resolution come to the floor of the U.S. Senate for a vote, I will keep your thoughts in mind.

A man with 20 bucks has no voice when compared to a corporation with billions to spend. It is not free speach it is tyranny!

I personally think the guy probably thought the reporter was a paranoid 'snotty nosed kid' who hasn't done a real days labour in his entire life and therefore couldn't possibly be correct about this bill! I also got the impression that towards the end of the video he didn't truly believe the answers he was giving the reporter anyway. He'll no doubt go home read about the NDAA on the NET and be shocked about it! If one of his daughters were to be detained indefinitely his attitude and ideologies would soon change, that I can promise!

It's obvious that the guy is just reverse trolling. He just wanted the guy to get out of his face.
He didn't actually believe the garbage he was spouting...he was just trying to get a rise out of the
interviewer. (At least I HOPE so. I would hate to think that there are really people like that who are able to vote)
Noro

I agree. This "reporter" (funny how anyone with a mic and a camera can now be considered a reporter) was all up in this guy's face, twice, at a Fourth of July gathering. Clearly this guy just wanted to be left alone and enjoy his day. The first line of questioning, fine. But the second time the "reporter" had no right to chase him down and start harassing him.

Also the "reporter" (who was clearly more of a TMZ/National Enquirer-esque reporter than a real objective journalist) was very transparent in his propaganda. He openly misrepresented the NDAA (only told half the story) and did the same regarding the assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki.

While I do have a lot of problems with some parts of the NDAA and do not agree with assassinating American citizens, whether home or abroad, why didn't he point out that al-Awlaki had defected from the US and joined up with the Taliban and was making videos openly promoting killing Americans?

Remember the outcry about John Walker Lindh for fighting with the Taliban? Well, al-Awlaki did the same thing. Except al-Awlaki was became a high-ranking Taliban member, not just a foot soldier. Since when do Conservatives care about the rights of terrorists? Hardly anyone on the Right objected to the Patriot Act or renditions during the Bush administration. Kind of like how Leftists are overly silent on the use of drone strikes under the Obama administration.
