NATO will make a bigger massacre and whoever is installed after Assad will be worse; there is a track record of such things. Wonder why we haven't heard about Libya anymore? It used to be in the news 24-7 but once their agenda was complete it stopped playing.

Pointless discussing Syria on ATS, the majority are deluded about who is guilty of slaughter there.

They'll bend over backwards to convince themselves that it's all part of some grand US conspiracy.

Somehow they think that because the US has acted to destabilize a few nations around the world, that excuses the Assad regime when slaughtering their own people.

Not so far fetched since the US has a track record of CIA ops and toppling democratically elected governments.

slaughtering their own people.

killing terrorists. Want to see slaughtering people? Just watch what happens when the US bombed Iraq or Afghanistan

And yet still no real evidence to back up the claims that the Syrian government is behind it.

Its saying here on the ticker-tape that the Syrian forces shelled the area first then pro-gov malitia went in with small arms and knives to finish the job.! (which conveniently covers up the booboo msm made for the last massacre which they said was done by shelling the town of houla, only to be discovered later that the victims died of pistol fire and knife attacks!)

Where am I sure of anything? I am Happy to believe it if legitimate evidence is presented.
There are plenty of people cocked sure about the situation and I am not one of them.
I give the benefit of the doubt considering who is making the claims and recent events similar to this happening in other nations.

The burden of proof is on the accuser. The west is accusing Assad of doing the killings, I am saying no.

Why don't you go prove what your accusing Assad of.

Several activists who monitor the 15-month-old revolt gave accounts to Reuters that women and children were among the dead when the village in central Syria came under artillery bombardment before fighters moved in on the ground and shot and stabbed dozens of people to death

So the rebels have artillery eh?

The rebels even have suicide bombers and terrorists in the midst. The west is funding suicide bombers and terrorists.

These rebels are western backed armed and funded. Meaning We are doing the killings of children.

You want the bloodshed to stop? Stop giving the rebels guns and it will all subside

I wrote a thread about the shelling by Government forces which went largely ignored by the "Assad's Forces are not killing people" crowd..

Syria arrests hundreds, shells Deraa into submission

Security forces arrested hundreds of pro-democracy sympathisers in cities across Syria after taking control of the city of Deraa, cradle of the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad's autocratic rule.

Looking for men under 40 years old, security forces broke into houses Sunday in the old quarter of Deraa, which a tank-backed force led by Assad's brother Maher shelled into submission the day before, witnesses told Reuters by telephone.

Prominent rights campaigners were also arrested in the eastern cities of Qamishli, Raqqa and in suburbs of Damascus, along with scores of ordinary Syrians active in mass protests demanding political freedoms and an end to corruption.

Syrians kept up the protests despite the arrests and violent repression that has resulted in the killing of at least 560 civilians by Assad's security forces, human rights groups say.

In the central city of Homs thousands marched chanting "downfall of the regime."
