I have 100 shells for my shotgun, and a few hundred shells for my pistols, and an old rusty machete, and a nice new Bear Grylls machete for the wife. I have a jeep with a hard top for running them over, and a motorcycle for evading them and getting through abandoned and stalled traffic.

If that isn't enough, I guess I'll just become the zombie leader! If you can't beat em, join em!

Let's leave the whole "dead/undead" discussion out of this. That's getting into paranormal and occult issues and ATS already has a forum for that community.

And I could care less whether the person is dead or simply gone completely stark-raving mad, when you have people commiting attrocities like this it behouves everyone to try and figure out what exactly is taking place. And the only truly accurate way to do that is to exhaust all plausible avenues... scientifically, of course.

Every time man thinks he can bend nature to his will, nature shows us that it truly is a power beyond our comprehension. So before we go around saying 'zombie', let's examine this from the most likely (drug-induced), to possible (genetic-scripting), to unlikely (supernatural). This could be nothing more than an extremely bad trip... and it could be much worse. Only time and more knowledge and research will tell.

Big difference there. You kill a druggie who's alive and that's murder. You kill a zombie and that's self-preservation.

I'm having trouble typing now because I've got about 20 pounds worth of crucifixes and assorted talismans hanging around my neck bashing into the keyboard and pulling my head down.

They ain't gonna get me without a fight. I've even painted crosses on my car and pets.

Fight for fun, now if getting bashed in the head for years on end doesnt do some serious damage to your brain i don't know what would. Schrooms don't. I personally know an ex semi-pro boxer who now has problems lifting a cup of tea because of the damage his brain sustained when he was still fighting.

But i dont wanna be banned for violating TOS by discussing drugs so lets just leave it at us having different opinions about this.

If we started to make posts about every murder that occurs and assume its a part of some zombie apocalypse, then ATS would run out of space.

Richard Matheson. First filmed as "The Last Man on Earth" with Vincent Price in the title role. Then in the early 70s with Charlton Heston as "The Omega Man" - I consider both to be vital zombie survival films worthy of study.
The later Smith film--like all Smith films--is trash.

Well, cannibalism is not nearly as new though (or to me nearly as interesting as) the Miami faceman.

When I was in the service, I motorbiked from Mexico through Central America all the way to Argentina. One of the biggest threats was, yep you guessed it, cannibals.

But Faceman holds my interest not so much in what he did, but more in what he didn't do.....he didn't seem to react.....that to me is about as odd as it gets, excepting of course stories from the French quarter about voodoo.

i don't think anyone's saying zombies would be "supernatural" .. that's just ignorant... if anything fit the description of zombie it would be rabies-esque hybrid designer virus that somehow transforms pre-existing organic matter (living or not) into animateable killing machine.

the body is a machine.. the corpse of a dead person is still a machine.. with all the resources to create locomotion in a purposeful manner...

take it from a national defense viewpoint....
if the "concept" exists.. if it can be "thought up"... and used as a weapon...then the highest world power must develop it an understand it %100 in order to defend against any other world power that would use it against them... that's just basic strategic planning 101...

but wait.. the US military doesnt have enough money to pay the highest level of the intelligence community members.. the cream of the crop... to work on such things... riiiight...

zombies can and will occur... this world is a mess.. and the elites want the population decimated... only way to do it is via a pathogen that causees the infected to actively seek out and persue the noninfected.

Maybe this is the best way for them to get rid of us... I mean, we would be killing each other off and taking care of the dead bodies by eating each other... Because really, if we had to die off some other way, what would happen to the millions of corpses lying around?
