Let's not get carried away or dilute the premise behind this thread (as funny as it is to hear myself say that)....
If we started to make posts about every murder that occurs and assume its a part of some zombie apocalypse, then ATS would run out of space.edit on 31-5-2012 by alphabetaone because: (no reason given)

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign tweeted the following the following warning to its students last night: "Hazardous materials released at Institute for Genomic Biology. Escape area if safe to do so. Otherwise seek shelter."
Yikes. I know some people were trowing around the idea that these cases were people hopped up on bath salts, but I am sort of doubting that. Can we please just nuke Florida?
Institute for Genomic Biology is dedicated to transformative research in Agriculture, Human Health, the Environment, and Energy Use and Production. We’re fulfilling our mission to advance life sciences research and stimulate bioeconomic development in the state of Illinois in a number of ways, including pioneering research in bioenergy, critical climate change studies, and promising work in regenerative medicine, drug development, and understanding cancer at the cellular level.

URBANA -- One person received minor injuries on Monday night after being splashed with chemicals that were sent falling after a shelf collapsed in a third-floor laboratory storage area inside the Institute for Genomic Biology.

The fans of "the Walking Dead" might remember a scene where Rick, after waking up from a coma asks his friend Shane how all of this happened. Shane replies "it started as a few weird stories on the news, nobody thought much of it." I used quote but a going from memory as best I can.
Anyway my point is- Life imitating art, anybody?

Let's leave the whole "dead/undead" discussion out of this. That's getting into paranormal and occult issues and ATS already has a forum for that community.
