I have to admit, math and I don't mix at all.

But if all that mince was squased down into a giant say 6ft high burger, I wonder what it's diameter would be?

The human burger ...............

A tad over 16.5 kilometers.

If you mashed it down in Queens, NY it would look like this:

Either I'd want to be on the top layer of that sphere, or I'd want whoever was dropped on top done so quickly.

Your sphere is the right color of mush and pulp that would be created by such an efficient packing.

>> Extra Bonus Points: Put this sphere next to the one for all the water in the world.

I also want to see the sphere of ants, termites and of course, biomass.

You wouldn't be able to see it next to all the water, it would be less than a speck.

What if we crammed all the humans on the ground instead?

As a previous poster said, the volume of human biomass is 398804210.5 meters cubed.

Suppose the average height of all humans is M meters. We would cover 398804210.5 / M meters squared of surface area. If M = 1.7, then we have 234590712 meters squared, or roughly 235 km squared, which is a square with sides 15.3 km long. Slightly smaller than Orlando, Florida.

I was looking for an infographic I saw a long time ago showing how big the crowd would be if everyone in the world were standing together to take a picture. It was a little bigger than LA county.

I couldn't find that infographic, but I found this, which is even cooler because it's more of a population density thing rather than everyone crammed shoulder to shoulder. This represents actual living conditions:
Cool link if the entire population of the world lived in one city

I remember doing a calculation back when the population was closer to 6.5 billion, in which I allowed everyone on the planet to have 4 square feet of space, and found out that everyone would fit into a country the size of Luxemburg.

It raises a lot of interesting questions about how many people the earth could support if greedy, paranoic psychopaths were less influential in our world.

Interesting meatball.

The density of Paris must have some otherworldly sewer system! Maybe we discovered that technology in the Roswell crash.

Don't forget, we're almost 90% water. That would reduce the size quite a lot.

I think you just figured out what Aliens are planning for us. They are running out of "ground beef", that's where we come in!

The assumed density included water. All stated dimensions are pre-cooked.

Creative presentation!
A little gross to think about , but hey humans do that to critters every day.

I was noticing in your Washington DC "Visit" graphic. That if this were served as a Swedish meatball recipe.
The Washington Monument, would not even make a good toothpick.

I think we'd be good grounded up with salt and pepper. Add a touch of garlic, and natural seasoning and flavoring. Cilantro, Thyme, Tomato, Allspice, A few chili peppers. Onions too, and carrots as well. Simmer these on a low flame, and start the rice.I suggest Jasmine rice with a side dish of chow mein, and I think the beef- err...human-...actually I think beef is a better term, should be fried and made into multiple burgers.

I think this dish would encompass the culinary attitudes of all regions of the planet, and would be a very delicious dish.
