First of all I applaud the President for making this distinction in its enforcement policy. However, it does not excuse the conduct of legislatures who signed a bill without making this very clear. Now after Obama has used the NDAA on American citizens does he feel the need to sign something prohibiting its use on American Citizens. The problem is that with a stroke of a pen, the President can remove that provision and enforce the NDAA on American citizens.

While it is admirable to change this law in an executive fashion it does not prevent him or another President from changing it right back. This is why the legislatures are supposed to write the law, not the President.

Forgive me for being a bit off topic, but why do you think the President reads your e-mails and letters? Do you think he reads mine, too? Do you think he reads everybody's? Do you think that he does what the people want? Gay Marriage? The people are opposed to that. Obamacare? The people were opposed to that from the start.

Just so you know, i have been around ATS long before the GLP buy out years and years ago.
Sometime before 05.. So no, i am not trolling..

Dunno. I've always kinda wondered. Especially since the Bush family had a big hand in them, if these (FEMA camps an the NDAA and such, if I were to believe in the "fema death camps" thing)are for illegal immigrants. Like. The ultimate way to get rid of illegal immigrants.
Then again, they work for dirt cheap and the govt uses them.
I dunno.
Maybe it will be more of a "Holocaust" against Arabs?

I read something about how it could have to do with war with Iran somehow but i dont know enough on this subject.. I would doubt new military actions in an election year.

Hm. That sounds interesting.
What if we were somehow to be attacked from the "inside" so to say.
Any Arab person would get tossed in. They're ALL terrorists, clearly.
I hope America isn't that stupid to believe that. But maybe it's a possibility.

It no longer is applied to American Citizens.

There are lots of things I disagree with Obama, but it does not mean I have to embrace right wing lunacy either.

What happened to the left? I don't see many common sense posters anymore. Either they quit from sheer exhaustion or they got banned.
