Sidney I am bored....and less is better...soooo....you have 3 choices....stick to your fast zone exit trnsitions along the wall they have figured out......stop the tactics...or adjust the tactics.....when they jump up to pinch off those quick-outs you have to bite back terminally....not simply block them out which is what has been happening since they adjusted....you could just switch back and forth between the quick-outs and another focus to spar with them....Moma2 says simply look at the tapes and devise TERMINAL CONSEQUENCES for them when they jump in to pinch off those pucks....they have slowed their game down a lot counting on you to play into their hands......to be frank you won the last game and I would not change much myself other than to MKE THEM PAT FOR PINCHING LIKE THEY ARE DOING IMMEDIATLY AND FREQUENTLY UNTIL THEY BACK OFF.Remember they are pulling up and slowing down to anticipate your quick-outs so you might have more time to choose to bootleg from behind your neck 15-25 feet before you pass it....you will simply have to make you quick-outs UP THE MIDDLE where you need to FEATHER PUCKS,move them QUICKLY but feather them and saucer them up the gut into footrace positions......when they pinch angle them off and dump things up dead middle....then chase the pucks down.......all you need to do is get pucks past those pinching d-men and you will eat them alive...why work for 5 minutes setting up a goal when you can get free-passes...no one in their right mind pinches like that because you PAY FOR IT......your quick-outs cannot be fairly beaten and they are giving up to much to stop you in your zone and YOU GUYS ARE UNDERPERFORMING BY NOT STRIKING BACK TACTICLLY IMMEDIATLY when they pinch up ....Moma2 could have bled the entire data set you need online during the last game.....but why waste a bullet.......Moma2 knows the Sharks are dialed in online now Sidney.....simply post up here and PM Moma2 then the Sharks are off the conduit or line....Moma2 will disassemble them for you in private.

Once you STING THEM FOR A COUPLE OF GOALS when they pinch the boards....then they will back off.....shank them up the middle or drive those pinching d-men back aggressively and try pushing it past them by timing BIG HITS WITH THEIR PINCHES FROM YOUR MIDDLE SUPPORT GUYS MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO STEP UP AND PINCH PUCKS OFF....LOOK TO LEVEL THEM E/W WITH TERMINAL SPEED WHEN THOSE D-MEN STEP UP.....injuries happen when urgent men want the Cup bad enough...and they will stop spreading themselves so WIDE....they are cheating wide to pinch because you are not making them pay for it immediatly....last game you were correct to stay with your System focus the entire game but you should have retaliated to those blueline pinches TERMINALLY BY SCORING ON THEM WHEN THEY TRIED IT.....instead you just absorbed it and played through it....you didnt "adjust" subtely and take advantage of their "cheating wide to the boards"....so next game stick with your System BUT BUT BUT be ready to BURN THEM when they pinch off the boards.

So in short you are dominating the series .........just make em pay for the pinches terminally....BEG THEM TO KEEP PINCHING...KEEP QUICK-EXITING SO THEY KEEP PINCHING....FORCE THEM TO PLAY YOUR GAME BY TAKING IT ONE MORE STEP....when they pinch they actually compromise their structural positioning requirements and expose their lack of speed when they have to 2x time to recover themselves to react as one structure defensively....so ENCOURAGE THEM TO PINCH AND REMEBER THEY ARE DOING IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO WANT TO....so Sid....KEEP DOING IT.....keep them doing what you want them to....but this game be prepared to strike immediatly when they pinch the 1st time and to REPEAT THE STRIKE SLIGHTLY ADJUSTED ANTICIPATING THEIR COUNTER AFTER YOU SCORE THE FIRST ONE ON THEM SURGICLLY.....one is not enough now lets look for a one-two punch......burn em on the pinch and then 1-2 shifts later do it again when they adjust.But IMHO its easier to keep pushing forward like you have been than to lose momentum...to REMEMBER YOU FORCED THEM TO ADJUST TO THE PINCHING ON THE BOARDS and you CONTROL THE STEPS.....if they let up for a NANO-SECOND YOU MUST HIT THEM WITH THE QUICK-OUTS AS USUAL BECAUSE THIS IS YOUR LYNCHPIN OF CONTROL ...every tme they SCREW UP A PINCH there has to be a TERMINAL CONSEQUENCE and this is on the Pens coaches and players to figure out build and set up.....its no big deal simply a step which needed to be done last game....it was to close during the game to bother working up a lather over....but now we need to be clear...CHANGE NOTHING SYSTEMWISE...simply strike terminally when they screw up a pinch and KEEP FORCING THEM TO PINCH by tickeling them in the belly up the gut ....I so want to see Sheary blasting up the gut 2-3-4 times in one game on breakaways out of screwed up Sharks pinches.

Ya....no pnic Sidney...just simple strikebacks but terminal ones.....not big "adjustments"...let the Sharks know you are bringing EXACTLY WHAT YOU HAVE BROUGHT EVERY GAME SO FAR...............you were not forced to change your System focus last game it is the Sharks who have had to do this EVERY GAME SO FAR.....so keep playing PENGUINS NHS HOCKEY and run these fish to the ground......go back to your junior days and remember why its so dangerous to pinch the boards like the Sharks are doing.....then look at some basic NHL gametapes of teams who like to pinch,then rinse and repeat what opponents do to burn them.

When a d-man pinches....its only him between the puck and GLORY.......one man back every time he tries to pinch.....one man back with only one forward option.....this is called being tilted in your favor fellas.Keep MAKING THEM PINCH ...AND...MAKE THEM PAY the 1st time they pinch and every time thereafter.Dont run from the cure KEEP RUNNING THEM DOWN HARD AND FAST....keep your focus and make a small footwork adjustment then feed it right back to them immediatly.

Hall is finally ready....Nuge is ready...Nail is on the cusp but Eberle displaced him or he would be further along....the Hall/Eberle sideshow was managements mistake not theirs...and Ebbs is Ebbs he is ready...but Nail needs the minutes and this should have been addressed 1-2 years ago....Eberle is on the way out.....Nail will develop into the smaller truculent more edgy scoring winger when he is fed minutes and when his linemates are looking for him that way...like they did with Ebbs.

Salary constraints come into play now and Eberle is very sellable....he could be breaking Stanley Cup Games open right now......hes a pressure cooker player and the Oilers cap demands mean they can no longer afford the luxury of Ebbs special skillset which he knows is transferrable......Ebbs is probably sick of losing as well.....move Ebbs+ to a current contender like Tampa for a d-man god he would gel with Drouin imagine Drouins cross-ice passs being fed to Ebbs ....then play Nail.... bring in a RW at the draft and call it a day freeing up money. Ebbs is an "outscore you" type of player in close games hes a finisher.Like Klima was.

Nuge is obviously the Captain this coming year....no one knows if McDavid will even want to stay after his ELC is up....or if he wants to be pacified like a baby by being blatently given the "C" so he stays......

Give Nuge the "C" and move any Vets who dont wish to form a mini-army to back Nugey up....full stop. Everyone needs a role definition.....and the days of everyone trying to impress with their Leadership skills looking for a "C" are over ...enough edging already ......pin an identity on the Group and lets get on with it.

People havent read Ryan Nugent-Hopkins right here IMHO...he is a lot more intense than you might think and he is a natural decision maker who will excell at Captaining his team.....if he had been given control the Ebbs/Hall freeze-out of Nail Yakupov would never have happened....and if he is given control now both Hall and Conner will feel his power because he is unstoppable like Gagner was...pure leadership ability.... unless management interferes again as they did with Gagner who was teambuilding naturally against their grain.

Hall and Conner put themselves in wayyy to many controversial positions because of the ways they have to play to be the best they can be.....they by proxy push the envelope all the time and as a consequence they have to complain and question and whine and demand to fulfill their roles.....this interferes with a Captain.....Nugey doesnt need to project like they do because he projects his own personality which is pure Leader.

So really......pick the BPA as is the safe bet.....move money out and keep patiently waiting for the key d-men needed to want in.Having Nuge with the "C" and a setteled team with Conner and Hall looking to explode and be aggressive and proactive and pushing the NHL river during games ,not worrying about leadership issues, will go a LONG WAY TOWARDS ATTRACTING THE LAST 3-4 PIECES.

No wonder the Oilers looked so soft....5-6 guys all trying to be "captain material" and not getting their hands dirty enough often enough.

Give Nugey the letter and tell everyone else to keep their heads and elbows up and to be edgy or sit on the bench.

Only one Oiler has to act like the Captain....not all of them.

The Leadership issue has been a screaming farce reeking of Kevin Lowe...and misplaced promises from the past....Hallsy was never doing it...Gagner WAS DOING IT....Nuge HAS TO DO IT TO KEEP EVOLVING.... just put the silly issue to bed already.....and everyone be glad they didnt have to take the hit on Captaining the joke of a Team we have seen miss the Playoffs for a decade......start fresh...with your feet planted...skip the ceremony and the BS and the over-dramatisations...dont let the online media rip you again and stir up crap....just settle it and move on.

BTW if a super-deal comes up Hallsy is gone...only Conner and Nuge and Dre and Nurse are on the no-fly list now............the Oilers are now a CENTER-STRONG TEAM BUILDING A STUD DEFENSE AND WILL NOT CHANGE THAT FOR TEN YEARS.

Work around those 4 players......be bold.....this is the new core like it or not.....wingers are now the most replacable part of the machine.....the Oilers were FORCED to lean on wingers because they were short on centers for so long....now the worm has turned and Wingers will be moved as on other teams and Centers will not be moved...as on other teams.

Now bringing in one more experienced high end 3rd line center would be perfect so as to feed one of the current 3 MORE MINUTES AS A WINGER FOR ANOTHER YEAR OR TWO .

IMO Hall and Ebbs will both be gone by the trade deadline.Hall for a #1 d-man...Ebbs for an experienced high end ageing Centerman ..........Yakupov will stay and blossom on time because he is NOT BEHIND considering his path ....and a RW who is rugged and edgy and close to ready will be drafted.

Well done...Ask Kessel to shoot for the Goalies Elbow-Bone....right between his ribcage and his elbow....from dead-on...from everywhere.....only ask Phil to shoot there and ask him to "pass it on" when he is ready to ....so at least one or two guys are thinking chicken-wing....its unstoppable.

Couture is trying to hard....look to expose him.....hes extending himself so if you can corner him into a footrace late in a shift go for it.Try to make him pursue...he WILL pull guys down he has a history of bad timing with penalties.....just give him the chance to hang himself by trying to force him into a footrace.

By the way blocking is good but you have to push them more just a bit more on the blueline...once you are up 2 goals then you can go back to more blocking.Make them know you WILL try to take it downtown on them if you can catch them on the blueline with a pokecheck....they are big and slow so remember footraces are good when you hold the puck....yes the quick passing is the main dish but you do need to try to run one or two 200 feet back on them.

Keep your feet driving forward hard....the whole world is LOVING PENGUINS HOCKEY ..... make them foul you to stop you....force them to play REAL NHL HOCKEY not tug-and-pull Sharks hockey.....speed baby speed.

Phil....its best to be facing him from the front when you chickenwing him....the sequence is based on ideally a shot from the middle....and it is unstoppable if you are bang on in front of him and 30 feet out.

Nice job of looking for the cheesy play they have been using on you ...... feed it back to them more it will pay off.....when you come around the net.....look to come in on the goalies left side..his left...come round looking wraparound not half-hearted...bring speed....make him go down to cover the corner...then fly-wide slightly drop your hip turn and gently pop it over him.He WILL be down.....so Sidney be on a serious wraparound FOR REAL and BAIL at the last second so he cannot read you...just dont tuck it...fly-wide and pop it in.Sidney this playaction is based on NHS Intuitve Dynamic management so the Goalies body mechanics dictate he MUST REACT CONSISTANTLY....so you MUST be looking wraparound with true speed.....just work it Sidney...even if you just go toe to toe to them with this exact play one for one you will come out on top......both teams can execute it......so make it work Sidney.

Sidney this playaction does 2 things first you burn clock and 2nd you force them to chase you and stop you on that hard turn around the net and we all know how many penalties are taken there.

This year the Sharks were simply 100% outclassed and COULD NOT produce the offense needed to even compete....however NEXT YEAR EVERYONE WILL BE GUNNING FOR HIGH GOAL TOTALS KNOWING FULL WELL THEY WILL HAVE TO OUTGUN THE PENS /HAWKS/ISLES/BLUES.....ECT ECT.

If you do not COMMIT YOUR MEN TO THE NEWAGE HOCKEY SYSTEMs STYLE EVERYMAN OFFENSE SUPPORTED BY A SYSTEM WHICH IS DESIGNED TO OPTIMISE THEM over the next ten years in the NHL you will not be competing for the Stanley Cup you will be simply surviving the onslaught....
