Bill Clinton Calls Obama an "Amateur"

I guess it really didn't surprise me. I do find it interesting that Bill Clinton wanted to break long standing protocol and have Hillary run against Obama in this election.

Bill Clinton thought so little of President Obama — mocking him as an “amateur” — that he pressed his wife last summer to quit her job as secretary of state and challenge him in the primaries, a new book claims, “The country needs you!” the former president told Hillary Clinton, urging her to run this year, according to accounts of the conversation included in Edward Klein’s new biography of Obama

But according to the book, Bill Clinton unloaded on Obama and pressed Hillary to run against her boss during a gathering in the ex-president’s home office in Chappaqua last August that included longtime friends, Klein said. “The economy’s a mess, it’s dead flat. America has lost its Triple-A rating . . . You know better than Obama does,” Bill said. Bill Clinton insisted he had “no relationship” with Obama and had been consulted more frequently by his presidential successor, George W. Bush. Obama, Bill Clinton said, “doesn’t know how to be president” and is “incompetent.”

It does sound a little like sour grapes because Bill feels snubbed by Obama. However, I just love dissension in the Democratic ranks

All this coming from a man that did more to damage the American economy and the plight of American workers more than G.W Bush or Obama have been able to do.

Under Clinton, NAFTA passed and awayyyy went the jobs.

They are cut from the same mold, have the same agenda. If Obama is an amateur at anything
(compared to Clinton) it's that he's not able to sell us out in secret as well as Clinton did.

I read somewhere, and I'm too lazy to go and try to find it, that Clinton was also the original birther. That he started the whole birth certificate debate.

Clinton might be right, Obama has no backbone what so ever.

Bill Clinton’s spokesman Matt McKenna said the excerpts were “totally and completely false” and called Klein “a known liar.”

Did anyone go read that supposed dialouge???

It was like reading a bad script for a soap opera.


I know people will believe this...because people will believe anything against Obama....but seriously, that was horrible.

You forgot Clinton's repeal of the Glass-Steagall act and the wondrous effect it has had on our country and the world.

I still think that Clinton has no right to criticize Obama when there are still plenty of unanswered questions about Vince Foster, etc.

I admired Clinton growing up. But listening to my father talk over and over about NAFTA just made me think about the impact that it had on American jobs and the middle class.

what a load of crap. I almost didn't respomd to this thread because it is goofy and snarky and actually means nothing.

Bill Clinton was not the best or worst president ever. When he left office we had a monetary surplus....like it or not...yes...it's true.

He could have done some tings better but...oh well...it is what it is.

I think....if this tripe is actually true....run again Billy....see how well you do once people remember some of the crap and not just remember the illusion that comes over time....he wasn't that great....his wife will not be that great either.

“Nobody in their right mind would believe the nonsense in this one, especially since both Secretary Clinton and President Clinton have been loyal and supportive of the president at every turn.”

Well, that explains why many on ATS will believe this.
