For all I know those could be stuffed kittens.

I actually saw one in a little shop a few months ago and I had been thinking about how odd it was tonight.

About 4 years ago, a little tourist shop in a tourist town down the mountain, got busted for selling what they *said* were stuffed animals. Cats that looked so real, fur was amazingly soft and lifelike. Turns out they were getting them from a supplier in China...they were real cats! Just the fur part, they had been skinned and glued onto plastic animal forms.

When all was said and done, they found out this supplier had been shipping to shops all over the U.S..

All the *stuffed animal cats* were confiscated, and the shop was fined.
