Why do some people assume it's only christians that were offended? Someone posted up an article earlier of even a rabbi that thought he was wrong for his speech. I am not a christian, I would have walked out too. So why the assumption?

Of, course, they have the same extremist, unhumane views, when it comes to subjects like homosexuality.

He was there to promote anti-bullying, not use his negative personal experiences to launch into a personal tirade. If the guy had acted like a human being on that stage, and not a rabid animal, then he would have probably gotten a positive response from everyone. Like the speech Realspoke put up.

There were thousands of people in that audience. he got a lot of applause.

Only a very small group walked out. We all know what group that was. The majority didn't walk out.

So was the problem his speech, or the intolance of the few?

You call him a rabid animal but you should take a look at yourself.

The use of the words "B.S" and "pansy-a$$ed" was inappropriate. Heckling the kids that left and calling them names was inappropriate and hypocritical. In his talk, the over all content about the bible had very good points, and I don't think he was off topic, but the delivery was way out of line considering his entire point was "anti-bullying".

someone seriously need to explain to mr Savage about Protestantism and Catholicism and why he lives where he does and how his lineage got here.

someone should also point out to mr Savage that with the founding of America came for the first time in written history there has been separation of church and state.

he really needs to be more specific with his rants, and he should stop using foul language... not many people are going to take him seriously just for that fact.

This were two different things buddy. You were attacking that poster accusing him of pedo sexuality, and....you were attacking Catholics in general, about how they worshipped the pope, could sin for a day etc.

You can huff and puff with all the federal anarchist rhetoric you want, you can avoid answering to what I say, you can even twist my words into something they are not, but you will not be having a debate with me until you respect the point counterpoint procedure. So again I ask you where in the Constitution does the federal government have any power/sway over marriage?

A small government is one which assures all are treated equally with one set of laws applicable to all. In order to have a form of government that compensates for perceived inequalities through draconian socialist measures such as affirmative action that government would have to be of a scope which is outside the limits placed on our government by the Constitution. Please explain otherwise.

You are speaking to a teachings of Christ following log cabin republican. I can take criticism of who I am, my political leanings, and my religious beliefs every day from people and I am able to be thankful that I live in a country where they have the right to speak their own opinions about my beliefs. It would seem you are not of a mindset which thinks everyone should celebrate the freedom we possess; I'm almost getting the impression you are of a mindset that basic liberties and freedoms should be stripped away in order to protect your rather think skin.

O lol, I am totally non religious. Check my thread on Quantum Physics and consciousness. I have nothing to do with religion at all. I just hate hate bigotry, hypocrisy and stupidity, that's why I am here. Off cousre I must be on the defensive, anything that keeps you from admitting that I am simply telling the trurth about your actions and your hypocrisy.
