I will offer a solution that is viable and within what the OP asks of having a 'mechanic' to fix the hole. At the same time speaks to your lauding of Capitalism as it is today. All this is given with hopes of insight from ATS Great Minds and my favorite Great Mind

Now we all can see he was SO Frickin Right about this,,, why don't we collectively look back to what he said was possible with 1970's technology to fulfill a dream of Earth not needing to fight over ''lack of resources''
This book has to be the Bible of the 21st century and I am afraid no one remembers or cares to look at and rethink and add to what this Great Mind had to say.

I agree and laud the OP for stating what we all have thought and know here at ATS,, and I also believe that there are some really GREAT MINDS here,,, we need to spur each other on in our search for solutions.
I SAY R. Buckminster Fuller is someone we ALL need to Listen to (Finally) and implement most if not all of his great suggestions..
The problem does lay with who does Control the Strings that could make this Happen.
But if Enough of us wake up and Work at it diligently, we could achieve so much more here and NOW.

So if you have not ever read Critical Path,, get it NOW and start reading what could be our future if enough of us insist upon it.

Don't doubt your intuition brother! You can see through the facade. Whatever they did to you and I, they failed to program us. And that means that there's still hope, because if ordinary people like you and me can wake up on our own, then surely others can too. I think technology has played a massive, massive role in this "revloution" or "awakening" that we're seeing happen. All that social engineering you pointed out is invisible without the internet. When you compare education/economics/politics/racism across the entire planet and all her nations, you see a pattern rise that is far from natural. You can't do that if your only medium of communication is television or newspapers because those mediums are rigidly controlled. The internet is their achilles heal, and that's why they're making such a big fuss over censorship now. Because they've realised that when humans get together in an uncontrolled environment, they tend to discover the truth!

So I agree with you wholeheartedly my friend, and yes of course you may be incorrect on some points (a lot of this stuff is speculation until an agency is caught red-handed [think COINTELPRO etc.]), but you're still definitely on to something. And that's what matters, because at the heart of all this is a REAL conspiracy, no matter how big, small or misunderstood, there's a conspiracy here. And thanks to technology (assuming internet censorship isn't pushed through, in which case, all bets are off)... we're on the road to salvation through education.

Intelligent human beings love to learn, and have a good instinct for bullsh*t once they've caught on, because so many of us come out of school the opposite of brain-washed: confused, angry and motivated to find out what the f*ck is really going on here on planet earth. Because it's definitely not how they tell it in school! And I think you come out with 3 types of people; those who can't see through it (minority), those who see through it but surrender (majority), and those who see through it and refuse to submit (growing minority).

Much respect man for laying it out like you did, you brought up all the major points I've come across in my own studies. Keep questing for truth brother. I believe there's still hope for mankind and I believe it lies in the individual, in our voices. Simply show someone the light, and they'll go on to show a hundred others. This is a battle we can only win united, fighting on your own is truly pointless. They've made sure of that!

The biggest imperfection in life is the fact you need less and less resources to get more and more resources. In nature, the larger something gets, the easier it is to invade and take over other things. However, nature does have way to deal with this imperfection and it is normally through redistribution. For example, when pressure gets so high inside earth, it solves the problem by blowing up and releasing the pressure. When a river is over-flooded, it solves the problem by dispersing the water. When it runs into animal overpopulation problem it solves it by radically changing the environment as to make things difficult to find and the population to survive. There is a common theme here and that is that things in nature tend to get big and nature solves the problem through redistribution which normally takes the form of “killing” something.

So why is all this important? This is important because the same can be said about us humans and the way we amass resources. We become rich by taking resources from others and the more we take the easier it is to get more. Ultimately their pot gets so big, that the rest of the population has no choice but to go after those resources and redistribution happens. This is what wars and revolutions are for. They solve the problem of redistribution because without this there is no chance of survival. Luckily, as opposed to most here would think, we are at the best of times for the future because we are at the point where nature is ready to deal a blow to solve the problem, and those in power know it. We are at the point where we need to resort to nature retribution tool and that is war as a mean to “kill” the beast.

This folks is the biggest secret in life and those that understand it can in fact benefit from it because through redistribution they would get an entry point opportunity to begin the resource amassing process again. Those in power and well-read know this and it is no coincidence they are trying to hold on to their last breath. You want to get in? Then you need to recycle the clock and kill the beast, and for us humans it typically means war.

There is no conspiracy, there is no Illuminati group, there is no secret government with all the perfect answers, and there is no alien group pulling the strings. What you see as conspiracies is nothing more than those owning the resourcing trying to hold on to what they have by fighting nature, and what you see as struggle by the people is nothing more that nature trying to kill the beast. It is nature’s bubble imperfection at work with it ultimate tool to deal with the problem by eliminating the threat through redistribution by elimination.

I do somewhat agree with you but the real magic happens with banks.Banks create fake money every day heres something most people dont know or never thought about.first a definition money creation is the process by which the money supply of a country is expanded. Now lets take the United States but it works equally as well for any country.

Now heres what happened with the last Quantitative easing from the federal reserve. They created an expansionary money policy this starts by the feds purchasing financial assets(for example gm aka government motors) or lending money to financial institutions. Now keep in mind the federal reserve printed up this money straight off the presses it didnt exist before this. Now the banks get a hold of this loaned government money at almost 0 intrest. So they can start loaning it out because it shows on there books. This is where something called fractional reserve banking comes in.Pay atention here this is like the old shell game and you cant find the ball under the cup because its not there. Now on the banks books they get to say there cash is deposits plus the money they get from the federal reserve but are only required to keep a small portion of this on hand(mostly so the little people can feel like they have money to spend. For simplicity sake will say 10 percent.. This means they can loan out 90 percent of there assets to make more money.

Now the shell game doesnt end here the banks loan out 90 percent of there assets but then they get another shot at more money because they get something called collateral. So you mortgage your home not only do you pay interest to the bank but the bank gets to include your home as an asset in turn giving them more money to loan to others. To make this simple let suppose a bank has assets of 1000 dollars. They loan out 900 to people.So now the people that have there money deposited think they have a thousand dollars it says so on there bank statement. But then they loaned out 900 to others who owe the bank 900.Then the bank has 1900.00 in total assets.But the fun doesnt stop there they have collateral as well 1 guy borrowed 100.00 but couldnt pay it back they take the collateral such as house or car etc. But now they seized this house say the house is valued on the market for 300.00. now the bank has 1900.00 - 100.00 (this is the guy not paying) + 300.00 for a new total of 2100.00. So intially off 1000.00 my hypothetical bank made 1100.00 appear from thin air.

Now the housing crises theres a reason are economy is screwed the feds are hiding how many houses banks have in there total assets.Do to the housing market there not willing to sell them but there being used as assets for the bank. Heres the crunch money was loaned out based off assets that arent there the housing market is down about 30 percent.But the money supply didnt shrink the feds saw to that QE and QE2.So we have alot of money with nothing to back it out there and this is why were in deep trouble. The feds have been trying to inflate the money supply so we dont realize there is a crash its already happened.And i have a feeling the full ramifications of this shell game will hit us after November election. Everyone thank Ben Bernanke and Obama because if the housing market doesnt pick up the banks can only hold bad debt on the books for so long.Oh and dont get me started about the national debt that money is owed mostly to banks but again the assets dont exist.

I guess you are right on this, but only living in our current system.

As I am living in Brazil, I know of indigenous "Primitive" Societies where this does surely not apply... I believe we must in fact reorientate ourselves to a more natural style of life. I can perfectly live without TV or even Hollywood.
And before anyone mentiones it, also without the Internet.
My primary goal now (Im 55 btw) is exactly this... getting off the grid, and sharing my failures and successes with who wants to know about it.

This was so good to read, I want to print out thousands of copies and throw them all over the state. S&F. I am afraid there is one part you forgot to address, and that is the "why".

Why are these figures (elusive and powerful) doing this to us. The life span is not very long, do they just want to keep us controlled during their time on this planet? You can't leave Earth with your possessions, at least not the way I see it.

What is their goal, their agenda? I hear slave all mankind, but why? These are the questions I asked myself and became a true (trying) christian. I feel their is an ultimate goal to enslave us physically and spiritually, and these people are either so miserable, or are part of the occult, or even demonic, that they want to drag others down with them.

I have preached this for years, not in such great wording, but the jest of it all. Seeing it summarized makes me want to start distributing leaflets. Of course, tptb have made advertising so abundant and annoying that who wants to read anything sitting around anymore? This stuff should be known. If you rebel in school, you end up on the totem pole. This is why the most intelligent people never succeed. If you don't ask questions, and do what your told, you will be successful. Not necessarily all the time, but majority of the time this does happen.

You want to have fun with this instead of being weirded out, try reading Robert Anton Wilson. Great stuff and exactly in line. If you want to really enjoy it without too much of a brain workout, try his works, "The Illuminatus Trilogy"... Good stuff and accurate.

I agree with Blaine. We need some government but not obssessively controlling and regulatory. Congress seems to feel that if they aren't passing bunches of new laws that somehow they are failing to do their job. And yet so many of the laws that get passed are for special interests.

I might add that the whole Cloward and Piven strategy was to overwhelm the system thus breaking down society and leaving the system open to takeover by radical means. This is what they are doing now with the whole welfare state situation. Overwhelm the system with the cost of welfare, food stamps, and other entitlements given to people the govt deems to need it. The State has control and the people have to pay.

The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. David Horowitz summarizes it as:

Here's my solution...everyone stop having children. That would cut off their labor supply, and things would change when they finally don't have cheap labor. What people don't realize is that the more people there are, the more desperate all those people are for work. That's why things are so messed up, because there are so many desperate people who are willing to put up with their employer's awful policies. But, this 'solution' will never work because you can't convince people to stop having children. They won't do it, and so the business interests in this country just keep getting more powerful.

Well, I will do my part, and I will not contribute an innocent child into this insane, corrupt world. It's just disgusting to me that people are so selfish and have children, knowing very well how this world is. Let the elite have kids. Let their kids work menial jobs at fast food joints.

It's only going to get worse, because the people in power are scared for all the right reasons. So, they just get richer to protect themselves so they won't be gobbled up by the richer guy, even though they already have millions or billions. It's never enough for them.

Do you think it would help if people did do it, though? Stop having children and end the supply of cheap labor. It's a matter of supply and demand. Greater supply makes the labor cheap. It's exactly what they want, so they can continue to exploit people and milk them for 45 years before telling them their social security ain't so secure; in fact they're all freaking broke; it ain't even funny.

Oh, there is no doubt a technological singularity to come...unfortunately, I also see many other such..."singularities" converging upon a single point in time.

One singularity we can handle...but most, if not all of them at once? It'll be a rough storm for sure.

On this we agree. In fact, I think capitalism is the way to go - if we can manage its corruptibility.

You can however learn on your own. Schools are just to teach you how to learn; as mature adults schools are no longer necessary and we are all free to learn anything we wish now. Here in the US there exists places where people can and do live off the land legally, including here where subsistence living is often practiced. You have that freedom right now.

But on this I disagree slightly. I do not believe we are taught "how to learn." We are forced to memorize facts, tables, dates and names. I don't ever recall getting the same treatment of "why" something happened as much as the "what" did. I did not learn how to learn, and I've suffered for it my entire adult life attempting to extend my knowledge beyond that which I learned in school.

I also do not have the skills to live off the land - I was not taught anything in school to help in this endeavor, and surviving as a software engineer soaked up all my free time staying on top of technology.

You bring up the idea of meeting your own needs if their were no intervention, but your failing to see that, that lifestyle is labor intensive. Being raised around farms and ranches I know that that life requires sunrise to sunset labor to survive and no holidays, weekends off or retreats unless you dump your work off on others. What you suggest leads to longer working hours for less, which is fine if that is your lifestyle choice. You want a short workweek, the only avenue that leads to that is making more money per hour and only a Free system like ours allows for that.

I absolutely agree that it is labor intensive, but I have two thoughts for rebuttal - not saying they're full-proof, but they are rebuttals. Modern technology makes it easier, is one, and having a community work the farm is the other. Have people working together to spread out the labor and maintain the equipment instead of a single farmer's family and a coupla hands. That's just off the top of my head, it's getting late and must sack soon.

The other thing about the 40 hour work week, (you thought I was gonna gloss that one didn't you? I do understand where you are coming from, but I believe, as I stated earlier, that the INSTITUTIONALIZATION of the expectation is the danger here...it's kinda hard for me to explain, which shakes the legitimacy of my claim, I admit, but there's something about it being..forced..or expected, and nowadays it means nothing anyway to those folks holding more than one job or salaried folks grinding 80 hours a week (like I have had to do in the past)

I shall consider redacting it, as you're not the first to bring up this point of contention and I'm not going to ignore new information or facts. You have to modify the theory when it doesn't fit the facts, not the other way around

I agree with you 100% and the same exact thing happened to me: researching conspiracy theories to see if there was any weight to any of them.

You have to know a lot about history - A LOT. And I found out that history is unbelievably fascinating! Conspiracy stuff aside, the stuff writes itself! And it was thinking "why don't they teach history like THIS in HS?" and this was my answer - it's on PURPOSE. It has to be...at least in my opinion.

This is why it's so important to keep making noise, why it never gets old, because there's always new ears that are perked up and the status quo held by many elderly ranking officials will soon be in a position to be challenged by younger generations who can affect the changes we so desperately need.
