Romney to welfare mothers: ‘You need to go to work’ !!

Welfare/Unemployment should come with mandatory drug testing and a minimum hours of community service requirement. Why does my city have to pay people to pick up trash and pay people to sit at home and do nothing?

Also, I see everybody complaining about the kids not seeing their mom, thats a crap excuse. What about all the kids that have two working parents?

May i just point to all the liberal and left leaning Americans that policies similar to this exist in pretty much every European nation and that, by and large, European states are far more left leaning than even the Democrats in America. In actual fact, the Conservatives in the UK are less right wing than the Democrat party.

If this sort of thing is even seen as fair in lefty Europe, then why not in the US?

You are so far off, that I do not know where to start. Christianity does not teach dependence on government. Charity should be done by the church, charities(hence their name as such), and individual people. It is not a function of government. Tyranny is the result of government trying to provide services it is not in it's nature to provide. Bureaucracy can never effectively replace caring people. Bureaucracy leads to graft.
Bureaucracy leads to indolence and despair. Socialism kills the soul and destroys individual freedom. We all become numbers to the system, individualism is anathema to a system of bureaucracy.

Why not move to Europe then. Their economies are doing so well with the systems you desire to implement here. Look at Greece, Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Italy. They have all of the things you so badly desire. Instead of fighting liberty lovers like myself, why not move where they are doing the things you want? Tax breaks are not giving corporations money. Tax breaks allow corporations to KEEP MONEY THEY EARNED!
We have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. That creates the incentive for corporations to buy political influence and carve out the breaks for themselves. Eliminate the corporate income tax and the economy will kickstart. Eliminate the regulatory and confiscatory hold the government has on business and they will have no reason to corupt government.
Eliminate the personal income tax and all capital gains taxes as well. Any confiscation of a persons labor against their will is slavery.

National retail sales tax with rebate checks up to the poverty level. An equal particapitory tax that limits the ability of the government to expand outside its Constitutional limits.

If you did not notice from previous posts, i am saying that single mums should have to look for work still. Working, aside from anything else, instills a proper sense of worth within an individual. That is also passed on to dependents, ie children. Who is better suited to the world at large? A child that has grown up in a household lacking work or a child that has grown up in a household where people try to earn a wage? I know where i would put my money.......

Oh, and before you start going on about how useless our economies are (they are) have you not noticed your own? The only thing that has prevented a total collapse of the US economy is its position as the base currency in global trade. That has allowed you to totally falsely inflate your markets and keep you going. If there is another financial crisis, do not think for a second that the world would accept such a large scale watering down of global currency again.

It is not "All it would take", I know that. It would, however, allow people to "opt out" of the system. With no property taxes and no income taxes, you could sit back on your land and become largely self sufficient. Right now, many people have to work in order to pay taxes and keep land that they should own. Now the government owns the land charging the people living on it rent that they call "property tax". In order to pay said tax, they must earn income and thus become subject to the "income tax" losing a significant percentage of their earnings right off the bat. With those two atrocities no longer part of the equation, life gets significantly better immediately. The corporate ownership of our government is another issue that needs to be dealt with.

I understand and can relate to your frustration, but I think you seriously underestimate the insanity of these people. If some of these psychopaths were allowed to go unchecked, we could be looking at conditions similar to the industrial revolution. Look at how things are now with certain businesses. Its profits at the expense of all else including safety, quality, environmental impact, everything.

Eliminating regulations would absolutely not stop the corruption, it would empower it. When they finally decide they have enough money and power, they will start seeking to control us all. Its already happening.

I agree with Romney. These people need to get their asses in gear. Most of my tenants were on welfare when I worked as a property manager in Public Housing, none of them had a job AND were on welfare. Once they got welfare they just gave up looking for a job. They all had nice TVs and they all had nice cell phones - and yes they did sit inside and watch TV all day. People need to stop feeling sorry for these welfare hounds. Hell we should just cut off welfare altogether, let them figure out they need to fight to survive for themselves.

If only that were true my friend. Romney is obama with less melanin. Obama is romney with a darker tan. Their policies, even the ones they tell us are virtually identical with only very minor differences. What they don't tell us is that they are both owned by their corporate sponsors and will do only what the corporations tell them to do.
