The Nothing Festival was accidentally created by a local resident who was fed up with the number of festivals in general and the prospect of another huge event by a large promoter. A tongue in cheek letter was sent to the city manager requesting a non-festival permit and was taken seriously!

So the first Nothing Festival was held in 1991 and the locals loved it. They could finally enjoy all the things that make life in a small town so special - no crowds or traffic. Visitors could easily make it to town without passes or hassles. A win-win for all

I suggest that protests start immediately at all capitols in the US and around the world, every government building! All holding up signs that say... NOTHING!.

Why try and battle with subjective stances that only serve 1% or the 99%, or even to point out any failures or injustices.

I think it's simple enough to just put a big blank board up in the air. Those who feel that they are being protested against will simply see this blank slate of opposition or what have you, and rethink every possible thing a person could justifiably protest about against them.
