Should The Army Intervene In Sydney?...or are the daily shootings all in the plan?

What is happenning in Australias most famous city?

Daily shootings by immigrant gangs , terror on the streets of a once peaceful city.

In the last twelve days twelve shootings , in a nation where gun control is supoosed to be strict and tight.

Alas ethnic gangs who were screened as individuals prior to being allowed into this nation as refugees ec t, are turming once Traditional true blue Aussie working class areas Of Sydney into war zones.

The question is should the Army be sent into the South West of Sydney?

Or should we just allow a city of almost four million inhabitants , be terrorised by lawless gangs who are kissing on Australian culture and laws?

Or are we being naive?

Is this transformation of a once largely law abiding and peaceful city into a clone of Beirut a planned stage in the erosion of a nations defences?

Once , any shooting in Sydney was big news (that was when gun ownership was the norm amongst Australians).

Now after the handback of millions of guns by law abiding Aussie citizens, we find that the Lebanese, Chinese, Sudanese ect gangs are terrorising a city with gun shot.

It is treason.

Just another classic example of;

When you remove the weapons from law abiding citizens, only the criminals will have guns.

It is truly a sad state of affairs.

If the chinese can steal peoples copyrighted artwork from America and reproduce it and make profit.

Then Aussies can buy guns on the internet and bullets too.

You can buy guns over the counter in Australia as long as you are licensed to.

It isn't hard to get a license. A police check, a test(written) and $55(10 year old price - its probably double that now)

Well stock up my friend. You will most likely need them.

Some day I will visit Australia and we can talk about it by the fire.

Unfortunately getting a gun licence is not very easy, you have to have a valid reason, I.e "shooting too every now and then" doesn't count, to get a rifle or shotgun you have to have either land you own which you need to do " pest control" or know someone with land, generally 10 acres or so, and they must write a letter stating you have permission to shoot on there land for pest control purposes.

If your a security guard, you need to have a letter from your employer staring why you need to be armed, and generally it has to be a full time role and not a casual basis involving cash transports etc.

Getting a handgun licence, well same as security, but if your a member of a gun club you can get a licence etc, but there are restrictions.

Personally, I'd prefer to go to tassie and pay 650 for a glock with no serial.

Also, to add, you must have an appropriate gun safe, and police can and will do random checks of your safe, if they find you stored ammo with a gun etc, they take your guns and that's that. You then have to jump through hoops to try and get them back.

Totally wrong, fictitious and misleading! MC Clubs (Mostly Sydney based ones) have been infiltrated by the very types of people discussed in the OP.

And of this latest violence there will be some who are somehow MC affiliated. Guaranteed! Bikers in OZ are not the same bikers of 20 years ago. Don't get me wrong, bikers all that time ago were no angels (no pun intended) and into organised crime. But they did have a better social etiquette, acted under stricter rules and had some sort of moral conscience. Completely different to today! Maybe 20 years ago your comment might have been correct but today wrong wrong wrong!

Sounds to me like aussies need to loosen their goose when it comes to gun laws.....honestly folks gun control that tight just doesnt work and this is a fine example of that....if not just one example.

The MC clubs are open about the locations of their lairs.

The police could shut down everyone of them easily but they don't.

Why?

Because the police know that the MC gangs in Australia are maintaining the balance. Take away the MC gangs and then it would be pure anarchy.

I agree that the situation was better 20 years ago.

We should never grant any assalyum seeker full citzenship. It should always remain conditional citenzship. This will stop a lot of this kind of thing

I would like to ask (not being sarcastic,i really want to know) how do these people get into your country? About 14 years ago my husband enquired about emigrating to Australia+was told that he would have to have a job lined up with an Oz company,OR quite a large sum of money to transfer into an Oz bank account (presumably to ensure that one wont have to resort to becoming a criminal if you cannot find a job within the first few months after arriving there,or end up a homeless bum). So,if decent law-abiding citizens like us cannot get in because we are too poor to have a large bank balance+my husband could not find work there,how do these people get in? I see problems with immigrants in other countries too-and its never people who are in normal jobs/ careers,but gangsters,criminals and general low-lifes that cause the trouble.Why do the governments of these countries make it difficult or downright impossible for non-wealthy but regular,decent law-abiding people to go there,and give their kids a fair chance in life-but the trouble-making criminal element are apparently able to flock there in droves? How and why?

Have you not heard of Mick Hawi or Sam Ibrahim? Ever seen the membership composition of Notorius? Just naming a few. What about Alex Vella? MC clubs are hardly white supremacist gangs. They attract members from many different ethnic backgrounds not just people of British/Irish decent!
