lol thank you, I got that far. I just saw that underneath the Start button it said look for monsters.

Where are the monsters?!

Yeah to me its still very blurry at the top most + setting. :/ I see no difference at all. To the person who claims you see make and models of cars, how? All you get is the over head view. And if you go streetside, you still just get major streets and a horrible 'zoom in' that's all blurry. I tried to see parents home. same as it's been for the last 3 years on google maps.

No improvement except it takes forever to load satellite.

Damn I found Mounth Rushmore, The Pyramids, The Sphinx, The Eiffel Tower, Tower Of Pisa, The White House.. oh and there's a panda in the forest nearby...

Not talking about the video game stuff you all are talking about. I'm talking about the OP stating google maps updated and it's far better and you can see things so clearly now. It all looks the same to me as it's always done. Takes longer to load for some reason but it's the same overview of everything I've checked out in curiosity for years now.

click on the start your quest on the bottom left and you will see.

the whole base clear as a freakin bell! You can see the planes, the black 18 wheelers, everything.

I don't know what the problem is but getting the images in the sharp, striking detail and resolution is a hit and miss thing, even for the same location. Google must still be updating. Here is the Main Bass Pro Shop store parking lot here in the Ozarks though. It's the one they have commercials for all over the nation.

Bass Pro - Springfield, Mo

Now I'm seeing two different views come up. One will be directly overhead and up can't see the sign at all. The other, GOOD quality, is at a slight angle and you can clearly read the larger lettering on the Bass Pro sign. At the lower row of vehicles, it looks like a Suburban, a 5th wheel and two minivans with what I count as 3 adults and 4 kids behind the minivans.



That is a level of sharp detail I've never seen..and again, it's something even tonight I'm seeing in one load and then not in the next. I've read the logo and decals on planes sitting on the Edward Air Force Base runways (Look far south end of the base...2 out on the end of an inactive look like wrecks..but you can read the U.S. Air Force clear as day, its so sharp) but then planes at LAX are still 2010 level blurry. The White House is clear enough to almost count the blades of the AC unit fans mounted to the roof of the old office building, but New London, CT Submarines are still under a deliberate blur.

Whatever Google is doing tonight..if it's deliberate and lasting, I'm excited...if it isn't, then I'm just happy I got to see some of it without the distortion added back in.

Note:
BTW.. I thought about the new super sharp imagery being a transition into Aerial photo stock, but I was also counting engines and admiring decal placement on aircraft in the oddest areas of China and Iran to name a couple spots I've been wandering tonight. If those areas have planes taking pictures, I'll be a duck for the day.
