You think this has to do with UFOs ,Jim? I'm always highly suspect of NASA docus especially ones about anomalous NASA activity, since there has been so much of it. I know your stances on some of the STS footage available to the public, maybe this is related to some of the UFO related footage?? Maybe the tether incident?

I wouldn't go so far as to write anything off as disinformation until ive seen it, that's some serious ignorance.... You know, that thing we used to try and deny around here.

I know what you mean.....these show are usually just regurgitated bits of other shows like it and only ask a bunch of questions and never answer them or come up with anything new. I'll check it out though just to see.

Sweet, never heard of this show before. Cant wait to watch it, even if its disinfo it will still be interesting.

He says that he worked on it with Nick Patterson, producer...providing the footage to be examined...all from his NASA UFO archives.

I asked why & he says that it is balanced & the 'show' itself does not debunk the NASA UFO clips. You, Jim, are on the show to play that role, he says... you debunked Stubbs NASA videos with your usual points, (somebody had to do it (!)... Stubbs says,) & the show ends with no conclusions..deliberately I am told...to let viewers consider the evidence for themselves. I am sure it will start an ATS debate the next day!

It's great that YOU, Jim are actually promoting this!!! Stubbs says that was the plan.

Even a circus has a conclusion, the lady on the high wire doesn't die.

So the show starts in two hours. Guess we will find out shortly what it will present.

I was a little disappointed by not that surprised. The show didn't disclose anything that was not well known by anyone that has an interest in NASA ufos. Personally I have over eighteen hundred anomalies found in NASA images from early Apollo to recent images from the ISS (and everything in between). So I have no doubt there is much we are not being told.

Anybody can use any ID they like, of course, but in this message he [under a pseudonym] refers to getting an email from himself [real name] and pretends they are separate posters. There were good moments and bad moments with the bad momemts being the poor selection of videos and events to discuss. First, we are told that senior NASA astronauts remain disturbed by the phenomena they've seen followed by Musgrave relating his "snake/eel" tale. I don't accept "disturbed" as a description, except to describe Mitchell but that has nothing to do with the documentary. BTW, I'm going to contact Musgrave again and tell him that his "snake/eel" is my STS-63 "anomaly" which was a similar-looking object that is seen tumbling towards earth from space.

Oberg says "People see things at the limits of their vision and fill in the rest of the details from their imaginations and their fears." What does that mean? We see a video (STS-48 for example) that shows certain events happening, we decipher the events based on our database and then along comes an authority and tells us that what we think we see is not that at all and we are given an interpretation that violates what we think is going on. Common sense dictates the authority knows more than we do but this is not an instance where the viewer is making grievous visual errors. So what I see is not at the limit of my vision, whatever that means, and I didn't fill in details from my imagination and/or fears. What fears? Why should watching a plain, ol' video trigger fears? It may make Oberg think esoterically but in reality it sounds meaningless mumbo jumbo.

Musgrave spouts that billions of planetary creatures have left their planets and they're visiting other solar systems followed by Mitchell spouting that he is very certain that we are being visited by external species. Two contradictory statements with neither offering any evidence for their comments. What happens to allegedly intelligent astronauts that should know better than to sound like Drake? Guys, when you use zeros in equations you have zero results!

John Glenn saw "fireflies" which sounds like he saw honest to goodness ice crystals. I would never say he saw SUFOs as are being seen now.

Musgrave: "They have thousands of pieces of ice ..." Yet, what he calls ice doesn't behave like ice, behaving totally opposite of what ice crystals have been shown to behave. These SUFOs are "orderly", they drift in large groups and some are seen hauling, stopping, doing all kinds of things that ice crystals don't do. Ice crystals leave the shuttle and they're on their mishmash way and are not going to loop or do any of the things that SUFOs are shown to do.

Forget anything said by Shostak, Pope, Redfern as they have nothing to do with NASA and their POVs are worthless since the title of the documentary is "NASA Files: The Unexplained" and their comments carry no weight. The astronauts are the only authorities and Oberg and Kasher are worthy opponents. The MUFON guy has no believability.

Oberg on the STS-48: "...because of dots appearing on the screen, some changing course, zipping around, and some passing close to each other as if by intent." So when did anyone in space see ice crystals performing these motions? Oberg didn't say "...because of ice crystals appearing on the screen, ..." "...and if a thruster fires ... it can be blown to a different course." Well, if that's true then when the thruster allegedly fired and changed the course of that one solitary ice crystal which one can see was farther away than a lot of closer ones, why didn't the alleged thruster also affect ALL of the ice crystals? You can see that the other objects just keep on their drifting paths. How selective are thruster firings?

The tether incident: Franklin Chang Diaz, Mission Specialist. Closeups of the tether deploying show a crystal clear scene with no ice crystals, debris of any kind. But one scene as the tether is seen drifting away a couple of white objects flash by in opposite directions! Marc D'Antonio (MUFON Photo & Video Analyst) says they zoomed in, they zoomed out. Voiceover says: "... and a lot of things swimming in the foreground." Ice crystals wouldn't swim in the foreground 'cause if they were they would be out of focus and they are in focus with the tether which is many miles away. Ice crystals don't swim, once they've been put in motion they continue that motion. D'Antonio's simulation fails because it does not for one minute resemble the real footage. He may have convinced himself of its success but it's a failure to me. His blobs do not look anything like the swarm which have a dark center and when a large one goes behind the tether the dark center disappears until the object emerges and the swarm looks pretty sharp compared to D'Antonio's formless blobs.

I'm stopping here 'cause I'm re-recording the program unedited to keep and I failed to find another quote of Oberg which seems to contradict certain views he holds.

Looks like they hopped into the DeLorean and retrieved the 1996 "particle beam/evasive maneuver" theory.

Funny thing is immediately after speculating on the origin of the "mysterious" flash they show footage of the same type of flash coming from the shuttle's control thruster.
