Thats what I am thinking he ment, that there was a second 7.9. Unless he means the one you provided..

Just checked and it does seem like there has been 4 now.....two 7+ and two 5+
The 5's must be aftershocks.....

From USGS.....they show 4 too, but put the magnitude much lower....

I've been reading and I am confused,
so we have at least 2 major quakes
in the same area? Also a tsunami
alert just came across, right?

There have been 4 in the exact same place very close together, but I guess it is aftershocks?some are saying there were two 7+ quakes, followed by two 5+.....and USGS is putting them much lower... (see above post) Don't know what Arken is seeing yet though, I haven't seen that.

Well we know there has been two EQs in the same area, after shocks, and minis EQs. The 7.9 tsunami is not confirmed yet I don't think. But It seems that this is becoming more and more active as this thread progresses.

Also StealthyKat, thanks for the info you have been providing.

You're welcome.....I'm no expert, it's just what I'm reading from different reports. They are all so different
