Hello all. I've been lurking now for a couple of years. I cannot promise I will post very much, but I can state that I visit this site almost every day. I do not wish to post anything that may be used to identify me (perhaps i'm a little paranoid about posting anything in a conspiracy forum) but I will give you a little bit of background information. I was born the the mid-west in the mid-eighties to a white-trash low-class family. I'm a bastard child with an alcoholic mother and was sent from pillar to post to live with various family members throughout my life. I have lived on both coasts and several places in-between. In high-school I excelled in music, playing 13 instruments. I graduated with honors from the National Forensics League for my participation in Debate & Forensics, Student Congress, and Mock Trial. From childhood I have been an avid reader and greatly interested in religion and philosophy. I was baptized Methodist at birth, but traveled around to many churches including Assembly of God, Baptist, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, went thru catechism classes and have studied Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Baha'i-ism and various other faiths and ideologies including witchcraft and satanism. I guess I consider myself a philosopher or an arm-chair anthropologist as I enjoy thinking of humanity and how humanity got to the place where I can consciously consider it. I believe in god, but I do not practice religion. Mostly I observe the world I live in. I believe we are living in very interesting times. When I observe people who appear to be happy or who believe they are happy I think about all the tragedies occurring in the world and what ignorance the masses must have to stand by and let these things continue. What the world leaders are doing is wrong. There are many conspiracies, but they are coming to light because people are becoming more aware. There is a right and there is a wrong. People are deluded into believing that if they are content they must be doing the right thing. I believe that if you are content in this world we are living in that you are doing something wrong.
There are many things that I would change if I could, starting firstly with our world governments. Socialism and communism in my eyes are good ideas, even capitalism is a good idea- but there are always those people who believe they are better than the rest and therefore deserve to rule over them and be their judge. What can I say? I'm an idealist. All people are equal. It is a person's duty to participate in government. It is a person's duty to do what they can to help provide for those in need. I don't believe in war or the death penalty. I think it's pretty risky to mess with DNA. Blah Blah Blah. I could go on but my thoughts are never organized.

Welcome to the boards! you sound like the kind of level headed, open minded biological organism that would fit right in and improve a thread.
It doesn't sound to me like coming from the white trash start has ruined who you are meant to be at all.
I'm glad you're here

Welcome m'dear.

I am relatively new myself, but an old lurker as you are.

I enjoyed reading your post, and you have quite an interesting background. 13 instruments? Incredible!

Also, about studying religions, I took a few classes myself on World Religions. What an amazing subject to study, you get so deep into the culture and understanding the people of certain lands.

Thank you for the wonderful introduction. Although I am upset you say you may not post a lot, but hopefully I shall see you around and get to star your posts.

Warm regards, and lots of love,

Elysra

AboveTopSecret is much like a theme park with many, many rides, with that said...
Here's a few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret, also known as ATS, the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.

*** Please be at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward), and act like an 'civil' adult. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

*** Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your on. Before getting on a ride, you should be mentally fit, emotionally stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented that may be contrary to your own.

*** Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might think or expect. At times, you may learn something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride, this is a natural and normal phenomena.

*** Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

*** Please have fun! Be aware if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, intentionally spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is for your safety, & also for those both young and old on the ride with you.

So buckle up, keep your arms within the ride's comfort zone, have fun and "Deny Ignorance"...!

INDEED!

You also now can create your very own "thread" as you have obtained the required minimum. And I speak for everyone when I say that we look forward to it.

So knock us off our feet with a real dazzler!

Welcome to ATS!

Seems like you have had your fair share of life experiences..

Anyway, I will introduce something you probably never heard of which is called Falun Dafa Qi Gong and is based on cultivating your mind and body in daily life and become an ever better person. As soon as your mind improves you can improve your body - this is theory and I experienced it personally. Anyway, it is all free of charge and has no membership(!)..

I advice you to check out this book, in my opinion the most important book written in mankind´s history(that is a reason it sold more than 100 million copies in a few years and then was banned by the communists):

www.falundafa.org...

I wish you all the best.

/Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good, Falun Dafa is good
