Good place to go for a vacation...

Looking to go on vacation for myself after school is over with. Anyone know of any good spots to go to? Ones that are not in the news. Hmm, maybe I'll go to Area 51, act like a blonde and say I'm lost and take a secret hidden camera with me. I'll see if I can't bust through the gates for you.


I don't consider Jury Duty a vacation, but it will do for now.

Aruba is the way to go! Relaxing and tropical, It's very ice and couldn't ask for a better ocean! You got to go!

Who are you going with? What are your big interests?

Hard to suggest a spot
What is your motivation? Culture? Sunning? party? etc...

Ibiza is a good place to go if you want lots of sun, lots of clubbing, etc...

Italy is fantastic for anyone remotely interested in history and wants to see the sights/stand in a spot where emperors stood thousands of years before

If you are seeking out odd and curious stuff, you can always do the savannah ghost tours. or go over to Sedona and get your crystal on.

So, ya...you need to relay a bit more info about what you want overall in a trip before anyone can give you any real suggestions.

No offense intended Manhater, but your lack of information doesn't help at all. I mean what is your idea of "Vacation"?

Some people find physical activity a great stress reliever like mountain climbing or logging camp.
Some people find lack of activity a great stress reliever like beaches.
Some people find flashing lights and shows a great stress reliever like Las Vegas or Broadway.
Some people find role playing a great stress reliever like a mystery train or such.
Some people find treasure hunting a great stress reliever like panning for gold or gem hunting.
Some people find Nature a great stress reliever like camping, hiking, or seeing natural formations.
Some people find history a great stress reliever like ruins or historical places.

Do you see my point? If you want to know what others like that's one thing, but not having your interests makes it hard to recommend something you might enjoy.

You should consider Greece, its extremely cheap now with all the crisis stuff going on and given that the euro will fall and the dollar witll gain then i guess this might actually be a place for you to go. You know, simply get away from the information overload of life.

Yup swimming as nature intended us to be ( advocate of nudist beaches )

Indeed, i would go treasure hunting back when i was younger, you know, at bars, clubs etc :-)

hmm..for some weird reason, history does kinda make me...you know..turn up the notch... especially those roman all week party's and what have you....

Nova Scotia. Canada's east coast. The people are awesome, the food is unparallelled. Then there's history and scenery:

The Cabot Trail.

Peggy's Cove.

Annapolis Royal.

Louisbourg

Hmm, almost forgot the Liqo ur Dome.

That's a full city block of bars and restaurants. 3 stories of food, booze and music of all kinds. It's laid back, not backwards.

Damn, I need to go home. Forgot to mention, you'd want to make that trip from July to Sept.

My humor does suck, so i soz for the perhaps off beat humor, but me trolling...nah... besides when i troll i'm usually accompanied by about 40 other trolls so it does get crazy if and when it happens. But in a weird way, that troll in the photo would be cool to have as a drinking buddy.

I was going to say Vegas / Atlantic City but that wouldn't be very quiet.

Drive up the coast, find a nice little motel or a b&b. Take a camera a good book and just kick back and relax.

Too tempting, I might just drive right into the ocean. ROFL
