I am no admirer of Christianity in any way shape or form, just the right for them to exist, but that's irrelevant to what I'm going to post. I also do not believe 2 wrongs make a right, but it is relevant to this discussion.

Everyone one always throws the Crusades as the start of animosity between the Christians and Muslims as a means to blame Christians. The first crusade began in 1095 by Pope Urban II. But this isn't the first conflict or invasion of either side. The Muslims invaded Spain in 711. An army of the Umayyad Caliphate consisting largely of Berbers, inhabitants of Northwest Africa recently converted to Islam, invaded the Christian Visigothic Kingdom, commanded by Tariq ibn Ziyad.

So the first strike was by Muslims against Christianity 400 years before the first crusade. So before we play the blame game, let's get that detail out of the way.

Now, this doesn't make Muslims 100% at fault either. After all, the Crusades happened 400 years after this invasion, thus making the Christians equally to blame. Sure, they cited that 711A.D. invasion as one of the reasons for the invasion, but 400 years, really?

Thus I think we need to stop blaming one side or the other and blame both sides for this issue. Because after the crusades, the Muslims began attacking eastern Europe (Vlad the Impaler ring a bell?). And what did the Christians do? Launched another crusade. And then the Muslims responded and back and forth and back and forth. So the bottom line is this: Both sides are to blame because they both can't just let go of the past and draw that proverbial line in the sand and agree to "Your side stays here, and our side stays there."

The ultimate thing both sides need to realize is this: This crap of "Let's attack the other team" is just a mere distraction so that other interests can control both sides and enslave both sides. Thanks guys for helping the propaganda machines work...

The crusaders are linked directly to the illuminati via various ways and means, please correct me, if I am wrong...
Waging the war on terrorism or i.e., muslims and anyone that gets in the way...
Slogan ring a bell, who the crusaders and hessians mercs,
as the flags flown may have changed over the years,
Team owners still the same and team...
Jonestown Condition and ready to what god tells them..
Or anyone who controls their checks and balances...
Guns for hire, do the muslims have more or the crusaders?

Clearly who the bully is, isn't it?

added edit:

Oh, forgive me for the 2-d side view, as I left out the communist,
Branch Davidians and few other by accident, by my brief post..
Could it be an esoteric agenda?
With the religions being used as the hegelian key...
Communist, Captalist, Socialist, Pacifist, Hypnotist.

Ask the Vietnam people and any one who has been liberated...
South or North, East or West, Slave or Servant...
Is it the beast in charge?
Would explain some of the deception...
As to what is the real deal and not the wizard of oz...
Or worse, Jonestown on a global scale...

But the problem here is whenever there is a group of problematic Muslim radicals running amok its always the West that have to step in. This in turn would further aggrievate these Christian/Muslim situation. When Iraq overran Kuwait no Mideast countries actively participated to help or provided combatants except maybe fund the war and provide the temporary bases. Is it so hard to get up and be involved. Like the saying "walk the talk". Action speaks louder than words. Show the world and change people's attitude. That would be a good direction towards healing this rift. After all you guys are from the same Abrahamic faith. Religions are basically good guidelines on how to live one's life...its the preachers who are bad.

It is much more complicated than that. Many Muslims would like to stand up and do something (and some are now) but they are either branded as an enemy or they find their resources greatly reduced (due to lack of support).

These countries that the west are going in to "free from tyrannous rules", they are in fact going into places that they themselves have some hand in corrupting whether unintentionally trying to provide aid (which has been known to cause more problems than it solves by making the people impotent) or providing arms for one or both groups believing they are either helping these people or subduing them (or both).

And it's not every time, these incidents only tend to happen at one time, like when money hungry conglomerates are invited in by greedy politicians and businessmen into their country and set about draining the land of all it's resources while the surrounding folks are left to fend for themselves (who in turn watch how the land is ravaged so they can no longer survive as they used to).

It is easy to sit behind a computer screen and see the world with glazed eyes, we all do it and we are all guilty of assuming things because that's how we want to view the world...like African people do not have the same desires as us because they live in a 3rd world country.

I will tell you something, were Islam to be removed from this world (and there are prophecies in our tradition that a time will come when we will not be able to talk about Islam let alone practice it), the world will find a new enemy because we have become accustomed to hating first.

I'd like to edit that a bit. I see nothing wrong with religion, just like I see nothing wrong with a steak knife. A steak knife is useful to cut into a nice juicy sirloin steak so I can enjoy eating it. (sorry I'm hungry as I write this so bear with me). However, if I was a homicidal maniac, I could use that steak knife to cut into a human being and cause massive injury and death. Who is to blame? The steak knife or the fact that I'm a homicidal maniac?

Religion is merely a tool. It can be a set of moral guidelines and comforting thoughts to help people get through the harsh reality of this world. Or it could be used as a means to manipulate the masses to cause massive amounts of death and destruction.

Religion isn't the only institution that can do this though. Any institution can. Look at some of these "communist" countries throughout the 20th Century. Stalin's Russia comes to mind. Stalin enforced atheism and slaughtered dissenters to his rule as well as those who openly practiced religion. And to note, Stalin was an Atheist and had a higher kill count than even Hitler.

However, it is irrelevant that Stalin was an Atheist, what is relevant is that he used an ideology, and institution to do those massive crimes. So the point is that we shouldn't allow institutions of any sort (Special interest groups, religion, and even governments) to be come so powerful that they can be used to cause these issues.

Back to the beginning of this post. The editing I'd like to do:

"Imagine a world where people do not allow ANY INSTITUTION control their thoughts and people think for themselves."

Belief in a creator, called God or ET,
Any power greater than humans out there...
Put us here and we did not reate ourselfs...
Clearly, looks like something greater than man, created this place and us..
Something out there exist and is more intelligent than us...
Just another organism or bacteria, in a body of atoms or planets...
Not like we are not at the level now to create species...
So is the design a man made one, or just an image of one...

Woud say there is a God, beyond shadow of belief,
with the problems occuring with definition and translation
Being human, and of course flawed, as a Bible version by
King James, should be first sign of big brother and sham, imho
Obey God no problem...
Obey man...?
Slavery is not by god,
Servitude, in an army, doing an evil empires deeds...

Religion, combined with poverty..
When no jobs and hope,
except enlist in and join the empire troops
Becomes ones only option for so many...
Killing for God and country,
Or just cause one enjoys the thrills...

As does not look like any threats to the Empire,
Other than the ones it creates and of course,
the jedi force...
As maybe they saw the future and know they are doomed...
So have to lie, kill, cheat and steal, to try and win...

Although you're post seems to question why someone would believe in a creator, which I still stand is no one's business but the believer, you poem still rings true, and for that I gave you a star... I think you're the second one I've given a star to.. Kudos.

You're poem is the epitome of what I believe. In the fact that we allow institutions (organized religion being cited in your poem) makes us weak and enslaves and imprisons our mind.

There are no Americans that want to eradicate Islam?

You are being naive.

So what do you think we should do about this, Seabag, question mark.

I am thinking your answer might involve some killing.

Someone needs to be the bigger country and stop the hate and killing. The fix and changes won't happen tomorrow, but we can not keep handling the problems the same way and that is with more violence.

Seabag, you need to change it up a bit, I didn't even need to look to know it was you that started this thread, just by the title. Obsess much

Agreed, as it is naive to believe there is no Muslims who want to eradicate Americans... It's a nasty world we live in with so many people mentally imprisoned.

You might have something, just be on the defensive if they come over here to do something or vice versa. The aggressor will lose support because the other side is successfully defending against attacks, but are not counter-striking. Eventually, the people who support the aggressors will wake up.

Those of you who dismiss this as fearmongering are intentionally ignoring facts.

Facts?

Wouldn't they eventually have to eradicate Christ too in order to be successful?

Regardless where this is taking place, this group is killing human beings TODAY in the name of Islam.

Ya, but it is awful hard to ignore the fact that there are literally billions of people closer to Nigeria and it's problems than I am. Would it be possible for them to fix this problem without us Americans having to risk our lives and spend our tax dollars on it?

1/4 of all the federal taxes collected from the residents of Illinois go somewhere else other than Illinois. For every dollar the residents of my state pay we only get 75 cents back in federal assistance for our needs.

What would Jesus do? ... ???? .... Jesus left. That is what Jesus would do.

Something tells me that they will be unable to accomplish their rather ambitious goal.

interesting. ah, the more you learn...

I mean automatically we know the black burqas absorb heat, so perhaps there is a little more to it than just absorbing the suns radiation. actually, i think they look kinda cool and even the christian bible talk about head coverings especially in end times during the reign of the antichrist.

The head covering in Christianity is symbolic of having Christ over your head to protect against the fallen angels who like the woman of man. If you have Christ protecting you they can not touch them . It has nothing to do with a burka . Why don't you slap on a burka during the hot summer days in the desert of the middle east and see how cool you think they are then . There is no place in the Koran that tells woman to wear a burka

Muslims cannot iradicate Christianity because this is only a transition place for us all and by killing us we would meet the maker soon enough. Not only that but Muslim extremists believ that it is there job to kill us infadels but they fail to realise that God created us all and any person that harms or kills another human would be harning Gods creation. He wouldn't be impressed/

The fact that Muslim Jihadists have vowed to eradicate Christianity should be no surprise to anyone who is a scholar of history including any individual that has bothered to read in to Islam.

Qur'an:8:39 "So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)."

"I apologize, but there are plenty of Christian fundementalist groups among other religions who carry on the same kind of behavior"
Please name these groups that have publicly said they are Christian and want to wipe out Islamic people to form a Christian government.

Are you kidding me?

Jesus is ALL ABOUT killing his enemies! All of them. (Rev. 19)

The "Second Coming" of Jesus is loaded with War, Death, and Destruction of anyone that is not Christian. Not really a religion of Peace at all when you actually study it.
