Virgin birth could only mean an alien abduction and planting of foetus in her. It's pretty simple to explain. Religion is so naive!

Jamie Lee Curtis can confirm two theories at once by playing Jesus in a movie!

NOTE: Her initials are JC. Just sayin'.

AND... very few church scholars even know that Jesus' middle name was "Lee."

Unfortunately, we can't be certain that Jesus WASN'T a biodegradable robot being controlled by a gay alien who had a fetish for women's shoes and hairy armpits.
Due to the lack of evidence, we can't rule that option out.
You could say the same for Constantinople, Cleopatra, Aristotle etc.
This smells of someone trying to get their name out there.
Without even trying to prove IF Jesus existed, jumping to theories such as him being a hermaphrodite seem like lazy and tabloid-like publishing.

Virgin birth is found in many other systems of belief - Isis for one.
I think virgin birth is a metaphor - It has deep roots in trying to explain our own birth ie Humanity and the intervention of something other that initiated that - Some say God some say angels some say aliens but the question is still open for debate

The 'Gospel of Thomas' is not part of the bible. It is a Gnostic text which no mainstream denominations consider genuine.

Very possible I mean the bible tells us basically nothing of his appearance. To me it would make more sense if he was a spiritual being instead of him being a supernatural human just chillen somewhere.

i have been thinking more and more on this subject, not so much the hermaphrodite issue but the notion that Jesus was in some way different, as i have mentioned in this thread before. that is my opinion. Something set him apart.

I can't claim to be 100% positive what that difference was but I do believe aliens are angels because I met one... and yes, I think he did things to me. i think it was because he knew the future because things keep happening to me and I think if he had not done things to me, I would be dead by now... having been too weak to tolerate all the crap I have experienced... and not even by my own hand although anything is a possibility when people are trying to drive you crazy.(to understand that you would have to read more about how I have been stalked by government agencies but without getting into that)

Jesus being different... think about it.

A guy shows up over 2000 years ago and can heal the sick, make the blind see, raise the dead...PLUS... he's a really nice guy and helps everyone all the way around. says some things people don't understand but is always willing to explain it and to those that ask for explanation and begin to understand, they follow him with the utmost of importance... in a time when these things are so desperately needed.

How could he not be seen as a grand leader by all?

Now, how in the world does anyone see that this man so full of greatness and mercy would be shunned and dismissed by so many? Capable of so many things, not only was he shunned by the PTB in those times (for greed of course) by also by regular folk whose interest was not necessarily in helping the PTB keep power... so what was the regular folks problem?

he was in some way different... and like wild baby kittens, they just couldn't get it into their skulls that they were being fed and saved. Not only is man greedy but he is vain and prejudice against anything different than him.

That, to me, is a very critical aspect of the whole story... How could he be like the rest of man? How could he not be set apart by God? How could he NOT be different? The stone the builders refused... but actually being the cornerstone. There are way too many sins of man that he must overcome. He must GET OVER HIMSELF to be able to show kindness and mercy and the way of God to all living creatures. Those who cannot see these lessons, in my opinion do not see the light and walk the dark path of ignorance, prejudice and greed.

Basing a paper on "it's not known beyond a doubt that Jesus wasn't a hermaphrodite" is hardly a strong basis for argument.

I would need to see better evidence than the effiminate character portrayed in medieval paintings, painted centuries after Jesus' time.

I'm an atheist, but this sort of claim is ridiculous.

Based on the fact that over 50% of people support gay marriage, I'm going to assume that anyone I meet falls into this category.

After all, 1 in 2 is a much stronger likelihood than 1 out of 2500?

This is incredibly flawed logic of the type found on Sean Hannity's show.

Her paper is about as credible as me publishing a paper on her discussing the fact she iis a lesbian pig selling her self at night to any and all only to convert for her day job . You see senseless lies to draw attention that are totally unfounded and shameful.

From the Gospel of Thomas (Patterson-Meyer Translation): 22. Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father's) kingdom." They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) kingdom as babies?" Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."

What does this mean???
