It's sort of how humor/sarcasm cannot be relied upon in e-mail, without creating, possibly, the exact opposite intent. Digital impulse culture acts
like a virus, on itself, causing every twit that tweets to re-live every thing they said...ending in, not reserve and thoughtful remarks, but rather,
shock, and censorship.
I know, 'lighten up' is this threads refrain. I do get that much. But words are being banned, now, daily.
Whole subjects that approach a very possible, but very terrifying reality, are ended. Out of site, out of mind.
I can remember a restaurant with baby pizzas, and the weird sign they hung, for weeks in their window.
It would't fly today. Not for 5 seconds.
I think they used us as weapons against ourselves. You get rewards for turning people in. They do it for free. Do you think the book keepers aren't
aware of how this free labor source bumps the viability of the company?
It's a symbol, of our society. A subtle way to get people to, subliminally, conform. We've been asked to play:
How long will that sign (slogan, meme, thought, thread etc.) last???
