Through the years i've asked lots of people this question and everytime i've received excellent choices for who they would pick to form the Ultimate Fantasy Supergroup and it does'nt matter if they're living or dead,or from Rock or Metal bands, but preferably from when they were in their prime,or whenever they made the music you like best from them and just imagine what they would have sounded like...

First i'll run through some of my favorite drummers, bassists, guitarists and singers, although these lists certainly don't include every talented musician and singer, just a few choices that come to mind...

Singers...Some of my favorites are Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin,Klaus Meine from the Scorpions, Steve Perry from Journey,Lou Gramm from Foreigner,Rob Halford from Judas Priest,Ann Wilson from Heart,Jim Morrison from the Doors,Paul Dianno from Iron Maiden...

Guitarists...Some of my favorites are Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin,Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton from Cream,Alex Lifeson from Rush,Jimi Hendrix from the Experience,Eddie Van Halen from Van Halen,Ace Frehley from Kiss...

Bassists...Some of my favorites are Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath,Bruce Harris from Iron Maiden, Geddy Lee from Rush,John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin,Jack Bruce from Cream,Cliff Burton from Metallica...

Drummers...Some of my favorites are Clive Burr from Iron Maiden,Keith Moon from the Who,Mitch Mitchell from the Jimi Hendrix Experience,Bill Ward from Black Sabbath,John Densmore from the Doors,Neil Peart from Rush,John Bonham from Led Zeppelin...

And so just imagine these line ups for Ultimate Fantasy Super Groups...

Really,Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden for drummer? I think that Clive Burr, the drummer from the first 3 Iron Maiden albums blows him away and so does Iron Maidens first singer Paul Dianno blow away Bruce Dickinson...

Ok if we are speaking of musicians in their prime,

Singer: Freddy Mercury being first choice followed by,...
David Lee Roth of Van Halen, he could hit the high screams with the best of em and hit the lows like Leon Redbone.

Guitarist: Eddy Van Halen, I always enjoyed watching him play.
He would whip out a solo with a huge smile on his face that would make any other guitarist cringe.
Was he the best?
Probably not but he sure had alot of fun at it!

Bassist: FLEA!!! this is all I will say on this and if anyone needs instruction, google is your buddy.
But if you do not know of flea, it is cool, keep with your blink 182 and maroon 5.

Drums: Neil Mother ******* Peart of Rush, Canadas best export in my humble opinion.
Honorable mention to Jeff Porcaro of Toto, he was a baddy as well.

Keyboards: LOL you kept reading! there are no keyboards in heavy metal, well until the musicians sell out and cross over into mainstream...
