I think certain people aren't meant to have OBEs. One needs to be at a certain stage of spiritual development before taking astral journeys outside the body, or this is one example of what they will experience. It's always some scary being meeting them to keep them from advancing any further in that realm.

Did you ever try to have an OBE again after that experience?

I am afraid to try the OBE thing again, I often wonder if I were to try that would I get stuck in a different realm or not. Maybe the in between is like purgatory or something not sure, but the stuff is real and downright scary. I looked up the description of the shadow hat man on the internet and come to find out the name he was coined and also that many many others - some variations in appearance - have also seen him.
I find it curious that most of our brain (90%?) is not understood or being used (?) ... maybe we as humans, either over thousands of years, or simply grow out of it through childhood, lose the ability to see spirits. There is alot of mention online also of people claiming to have 'imaginary friends' when growing up (I personally don't remember having one). There is also people who say their children point to things, or have conversations with things that aren't there. I don't know whether its all the technology that inhibits our abilities to see these things (frame rates on television, effects of lights etc) or we just tune out..

There was a time when I was trying to learn how to have OBEs, but every time I got to the point that I was about to leave my body, a loud, and I mean LOUD, knock would make me jump and leave the "mind-state" I was in.

A medium told me afterwards that I wasn't meant to travel in the astral plane because my lessons were here on earth.

I haven't really tried since then, but I have come close without trying. I got to the point of feeling my body vibrate, and I got so excited because I knew this was the onset just before separation, but my excitement made me stop any further progression.

We all go into the astral plane during sleep, even if we don't remember it. I guess I'll just have to settle for that.

I used to live on a tobacco/cattle farm in TN and saw/heard ghosts numerous times. I have also been visited in by a deceased relative more than once. Prior to discovering my Fathers body, he came into my room when I was in the "in between" stage of awake and asleep, and had a 5 minute conversation with him shortly after he left the earth.

Proof that the spirit goes on after death. It is in this "mental stage" that we are able to connect with the spiritual realm. I'm happy he paid you a visit before departing. I won't ask what he said because that could be personal.

However, I would love to hear some of your ghost experiences in detail, if you would like to share.

As a child I stood outside on the street in front of our house and talked to a man and his son. I was about 4 years old at that time. My parents saw the scenery and decided to go out to take a look, because well, you don't let your child talk to strangers at that age. So they went out and this man walked up to my father and started talking french, which we do not understand because we are from the czech republic and just started living here in germany.

it came out, that I talked about 5 minutes with him and his son in fluent french although I couldn't even speak czech probably.

My parents then took a picture with me and the two.

I do not remember this situation though. It seems like it never happened.

I'm very familiar with part of what you said. The only difference I can think of with Christianity and Jehovah's Witnesses is the name of God. But I really haven't studied your faith enough to comment whether there's more.
In Christianity the name of God is Yahweh, but Jehovah is referenced many, many times in the KJV Bible.

I remember my family being against what the Jehovah Witnesses taught, but I never knew why. I don't think even they knew. They were told by the church that they were wrong and not to open the door when they came around, so they didn't.
Another example of the sheeple being led without questioning anything.

The main thing is that you got away from the demonic hold/influence of the bad spirits, and now you know you have a place in Heaven when the time comes.

Yahweh and Jehovah, though Names given to God by different religions, they reference the same One. Je-Ho-Vah and Ya-Ho-Wah are different transliterations of the YHWH - Yud-Heh-Vah-Heh of God. Jehovah is a Greek name while Yahweh is a Hebrew name. In Sumeria, He was called Enlil. This is the Name that Must Not be pronounced in Judaism. Because it is so sacred.

The God of the Old Testament is, indeed, Yahweh. He was in charge of the Earth at that time period, which was about 250,000 years ago through the age of Lemuria (26,000 years ago). Before that time was given to Sanat Kumara (Kumara is a title like Buddha). Earth's history is about 3.5 billion years. A little time after Lemuria was when the Hebrews arrived to our planet, which was when Yahweh chose them as His chosen people to represent Heaven. Yahweh was a member of the Elohim and is quite powerful, no different than Hercules and Amazonia (They are the same being, male & female). Hercules is a Creator God, not the one shown in the movies. The depiction in the movies is in reference to the Mighty Hercules in real life, but not even close to his real power.

However, these days the title of Planetary Logos of Earth has been given to Buddha Gautama who is in training with Sanat Kumara.

So next time you hear of Yahweh or Jehovah, you understand a little bit more about the history of the Old Testament God. When Master Jesus spoke of his Father in the New Testament, he was NOT referring to Yahweh, but his own I AM Presence. We all have an I AM Presence, which is basically your Divine Self, your Father who created you. Yahweh has His own creations who is a Father to other parts of Humanity, who are all but our own Brothers and Sisters.

This could mean that you were remembering that language from a previous lifetime. I really can't think of any other reason for you holding a conversation with him; apparently, you understood what he was saying.

I remember when I was young, three or four, I use to walk around the house talking in some language no one understood, but I knew exactly what I was saying. I have no idea what language it was.

Thank you so much for your reply. it was such a weird experience and theres no way to tell it anyone without being seen as a weirdo.

I had several other unbelievable situations as a child and they somehow disappeared so i only can remember them by asking my parents. They feel like stories which never happened.

I am quarter mongolian as well and I get goosebumps on a consistent basis when I watch documentaries about that country. I've alway been into eastern culture and buddhism but since my parents grew up in a socialistic country they don't have that much interest into spirituality.

It's so soothing to read about people who experienced similar situation.

Hi, I just joined because I was trying to find out what the source of the loudest roaring I have ever heard other than steam blows at a power plant that I was in at the time. Then I stumbled on this thread about thre paranormal. I thought I must be the only person to have been exposed to a life full of these events that I have lived through. I don't care who laughs or says I am nuts because I lived it and most was witnessed by others. I have seen furniture ( a fully loaded bedroom chest of drawers) thrown from one wall to the other shattering a stereo system that was on top of it. My dog wouldn't go in that room and would stand in the hall and growl at the door.
One night under my wife and my bed the sound of two iron pipes being banged together in a ear splitting way sent me outside looking under the house to find nothing. The local sheriff came to our house twice because 911 was being called from our phone. We didn't do it. I was alone late at night while my wife was working nights at a local hospital. I know I didn't call 911.
Another house had constant footsteps and knocks on the walls. A decorative wall hanging did the impossible as I returned from the bathroom. I heard something fall on the floor in front of me. I turned on the hall light to see a candle on the floor and the metal fixture was turning upside down dumping a thin glass globe which held the candle. The globe fell to the hardwood floor and bounced without breaking. The candle had to have jumped out before the globe fell. The metal, golden colored wall decoration, sconce?? turned itself back upright. I returned the pieces. In the morning upon inspection I found the sconce had a bolt through it making it impossible to be moved at all.
My grand daughter came to me one afternoon and said " Pawpaw, can a guitar play itself?" I said no, and she said yours just did!
Another time I entered the living room to hear a loud thumping only to see what looked like something trapped inside the bottom section of our couch was trying to beat it's way out. The back part of that house was a nursing home at one time.
There are many more happenings that I could share and if there is interest I will.

Weird things started to happen again >_>
(This happened 3 days ago)
Was late night (around 11:30) and I was still awake, I went to the kitchen to eat something, then when I opened the fridge door, at the same time I've heard some footsteps walking thru the kitchen. I looked to the way the sounds came and I saw nothing, then went to bedroom. I sat in the bed and switched the tv on, then I felt a weird pressure above my head, then a bells/clang sound came from the bathroom. I went there to see if haven't someone inside my house, I've took a fast look inside the bathroom, but nothing.

(Yesterday morning)
I heard someone knocking at the bedroom's windows, then felt something touching my leg and someone talking at the living room. The first thought that I've had was: "Ah, my gf is here " but I remembered that she wasn't here (She doesn't have the house keys too, and wouldn't enter in without saying even a "hi" to me >_>).

(Whoa, I used a lot of "I"s xD)

I'm not sure what is going on, since you mention the sound of bells. Others have heard these too.
Maybe if Gavin visits the thread any time soon he can tell you if this sounds like any type of activity you should be concerned about.
