The Bill reads:

"It is patently unfair that men avoid the rewards of unwanted fatherhood that presuming that their judgment over such matters is more valid than the judgment of the general assembly."

news.blogs.cnn.com...

What comes around goes around.

"If we legislate women's bodies then it's only fair that we legislate mens."

I love it... We need need more women in the House!

Pretty funny.

Doesnt go far enough though.

Every masturbatory ejaculation should come with at least one manslaughter charge. Maybe even a couple of thousand.

Since when has there been any legislation regarding the surgical sterilization of women, such as having their tubes tied?

I sincerely hope you're not trying to make the comparison to the killing of the unborn.

I concur.

I would add that rape should be legalized since women have no right to deprive men of future children by withholding sex.

I call my bill "Withholding Sex From Men Is Homicide Act of 2012"

Yes!

Every thwarted advance is an abortion.

Every unreciprocated feeling murder.

Once eyes have locked any termination of the pairing pre-fertilization a direct assault on humanities dominance over the earth.

With the proper legislation in place, the perfect Utopian society can be achieved. We must spare no expense.

Thankfully, men with guns stand ready to wage war against the citizenry in order to confiscate the necessary resources to make this happen.

Abortion on demand has killed millions of unborn children only for convenience. This type of ethos leads to the dehumanization of the entire human race. Life becomes meaningless when we devalue it at any point. Take religion out of it and you still are faced with a morality which supposes that indiscriminate killing is ok. I believe in limited government and think on the whole that governments should stay out of peoples choices but anyone that does not see the epidemic problem with abortion on demand is living life with blinders on. Plus 20 weeks, the fetus is a child. Does it matter to anyone on the pro choice side that they are killing human life?

Men not having the ability to have a child does not hurt a child. Abortion kills a living human being. What is the difference in having an abortion or smashing a newborn on the sidewalk? They will both feel pain and hopefully they will die the first time. Some late term abortions do not kill the fetus the first time. If a man has a vasectomy – no one is hurt.

This is just diverting attention from the real issue. The goal is not to control a woman’s reproductive system, the goal is to protect innocent life that cannot protect itself. You can believe whatever makes you feel better, but the ultimate truth is a fetus is a living human being. Unfortunately, only a woman can get pregnant, so this particular issue impacts women in a very personal way. But that does not change the impact that an abortion has on an innocent life.

How can anyone equate killing half developed babies to preventing the pregnancy to begin with?

Indeed, I am generaly pro-choice, but this comparison they are trying to make is absolutely ridiculous. It is one thing to restrict late-term abortions, and it is completely different thing to try to ban sterilisations. Irregardless of gender.

Negative.

It is only ridiculous if you assume the State doesn't have total control over your person. Now THAT would be ridiculous.

The State rightfully tells you what you can and can not consume.

The State rightfully tells you what you can and can not build on your own property.

The State rightfully tells you what you can and can not sell.

The State rightfully tells you what you can and can not do with your own property.

The State rightfully tells takes the fruit of your labor and spends it as it so desires.

Without the State, humanity would languish in a state of total anarchic chaos. Men would engage in acts of barbarism. Highwaymen would rule the streets. Cats would sleep with dogs - mass hysteria.

Ever see Mad Max? - That is what the world would look like without someone in authority telling you how to live your life.

Women can still get their abortions. The question is who pays for them. Are Vasectomies covered by health insurance plans?

This would be funny if it were on The Onion or SNL, but she's serious and really seems to plan to waste everyone's time with this kind of garbage. Weren't elaborate, drama filled stunts like this the stuff of High School? What place does it have inside the Statehouse where elected leaders decide matters that effect the lives of millions?

By the way.... Personally.... The whole argument as she puts it is childish vindictiveness, since it has 0 basis in even the wild logic people like her use in their grandstanding. Now..If she were to mature a little and join the body of leadership she was elected to as if she meant to accomplish something, I might agree with the idea that where the insurance or state coverage of Women's issues for birth control is effected, so Men's should be too.

Arguments like this though? It reminds me that Congress isn't the only place in need of a good flush to restore government to the hands of adults, not kids who never grew up.
(and that goes for both parties...this one just happened to be Democrat with the insanity.)

Ridiculous. Shame on you, Georgia Democrats.

When I read the linked article, it said the GA Dems in question are simply trying to raise awareness, so they KNOW it is ridiculous. The bill they are fighting (or trying to make people aware of) has to do with abortions after 20 weeks. SERIOUSLY???? 20 WEEKS??? How is that NOT a baby, at 20 weeks of fetal development? Even someone who is pro-choice should be sickened at the idea of a baby at later stages of development being killed like that.

I'm embarassed the this is connected with Georgia in any way.

Quite a few actually.

It's cheaper to do an office visit snip and sew than it is to birth a child.

I had a vasectomie,
one of the newer methods, one that was needless .
It cost a little over 500 dollars.

Did not hurt except for the first
part where the scrotum was numbed, then the whole
procedure went pretty well..

Now I do not have to worry
about condoms, or if she
forgot to take the pill.
Or her having to have her tubes tied..

Hopefully by the time when my son
is sexually active they will have the
male birth control pill. It do not
want him to have to go through
one.

The whole debate over this is silly,
and will never get anywhere.
Comparing my vasectomie to
a women having an abortion is asinine.
I have seen an abortion personally
and a women will even tell you
there is no similarity. A fertilized egg
and a sperm cell are two different things
for those lacking in the biology field..

Contrary to pop belief
I could get a reverse vasectomie
using vasovasostomy and become
fertile again. My sperm sample has been
frozen and is banked in for if future
cases arise. I could use my own sperm
to fertilize my wives eggs if wanted.

You sir have no future in politics.

Believing in asinine propaganda while being willing to use violence to enforce your beliefs on the rest of society is a prerequisite.

I heard several of these ideas for men's health... A request for Viagra would require a rectal exam.

Yes, we need more of this kind of thing to come out in Congress.
If only to show these people what idiots they're being!

TextEarlier this month, Democratic Oklahoma Sen. Constance Johnson added – then withdrew – a provision to an anti-abortion bill that read "any action in which a man ejaculates or otherwise deposits semen anywhere but in a woman's vagina shall be interpreted and construed as an action against an unborn child." The state Senate passed the bill this month.
from your source so it seems beating off was almost criminalzied(apparently in jest) and i understand the point the lady was trying to make but honestly dont we have better things to do in this country then tell people what they can do to their own bodies? Perhaps i dunno fixing the economy......

You can begin by demanding more licensing for lemonade vendors.

County shuts down kids’ lemonade stand, fines parents $500

news.yahoo.com...

Without the State, people might consume unlicensed lemonade and commit suicide.
