biggest scam 'holiday'(holy day!) next to xmas.
read up on the story of cupid & psyche. then read up on the real st. valentine.
neither bare any resemblance to this fake holiday!

All I need to know about it is that I get masses of candy and a lovely dinner that I don't have to cook myself. For me, that's reason to be happy.

If you are not in a romantic relationship right now...that is ok...have a romance with yourself! Go out and buy yourself some of your favorite things. Take a friend to lunch...go to a movie etc....participate in life!

Bought the wife roses...check!



Have dinner reservations...check!

Told all my ATS friends to have a Happy Valentines Day...whoops!

I am lucky every single day to have such a beautiful wife...and to be able to tell her I love her...so I am certain to get lucky today too...I am very blessed!

I have my husband wait until the day after valentines day to
get me stuff.I can get a $20.00 box of chocolates for $10.00,
card 1/2 price and discount price on flowers.Mama is no fool!

Saving money is always a smart thing...more importantly in this failing economy!

We are very blessed financially too...so I don't mind spending a bit more today!

Tomorrow though...stocking up on for sale chocolate for sure!

To me Valentine's Day in addition to expressing my love to my husband of 38 years is also a time to express one's love for his/her fellow human (& animal companions).

...I'm kinda poor and I dont have a lot of money...

So I made a paper rose and used a 20 for the rose bud...

Like I said I dont have a lot of money... 20 is a lot to me...

But I'm gonna fix my wife breakfast in bed and I'm gonna cook her favorite dinner later on

don't judge me lol

Than make your own meaning for Valentine's Day.........and like another person said, if you are not in a relationship now, buy yourself something extra.

Light a few candles, put on some music, dance a little, order something really tasty to eat, watch a funny movie or buy and read that book you've been wanting.

ya i know i`m a killjoy!!! i will buy myself something special --- a dozen beer and maybe some herb!!!
my girl was over last nite which was nice,but she can`t make it tonite. kids and stuff ya know!
