Here's an extremely simple but extraordinary mudra i discovered some years ago that can dramatically increase you level of well-being.

How to perform the Mudra:

1) Comfortably lay down straight on your belly and slightly bend the left leg.
- the left foot must not touch the right leg.

2) Place the right hand near the right thigh with the palm directed upward.
- The fingers must not touch each other and the thumb must not touch the thigh.

3) Place the left hand horizontally on the left side of your belly.
- The middle finger must be in parallel with the navel.
- The fingers must not touch each other.
- There must be a distance of approximately two inches between the tip
of the middle finger and the navel.

That's all. Stay immobile in this position as long as you can and enjoy the result.

What you should know:

- The immobility of the entire body while you perform this mudra is extremely important.
- Sexual abstinence during many days before performing this mudra is also very important.
- The ideal time to perform this mudra is in the morning before the first meal.
- Maintaining the posture during one hour will probably not be enough.
- Body or hand mudras don't work with everybody.

This simple mudra do much more than inducing you in a state of well-being but i prefer not to elaborate because people will think that i'm crazy. You will discover it by yourself.
Good luck.

Sound's interesting. Can you give some clues about the rest of it? I won't think you're crazy.

Sorry but your directions a totally nonsensical. If you are laying ON you belly how on God's Earth do you place your hand in front of your belly? Stupid and silly...

in front would be above also...

learn directions please

"parallel to the navel"?

Parallel to a point? How? The instructions are misleading, to say the least.

I can't believe everyone finds these instructions this complicated...

When he says to put your hand "in front of" the belly he obviously means between your gut and the floor.

And I'm assuming "parallel to the navel" would mean pointing toward the navel and perpendicular to the rest of your body. Use some common sense people and learn to read

I can't imagine what your assembly-required furniture looks like..

everybody is good at somethings and bad at other things.

some of us just suck depending on the instructions

im really good at building legos based on instructions and pictures without words though.

^_^

we wanna know how to do this because we want to feel happy and be comfortable, and it might interest us, just like a fluffy bed would feel nice to lay in, maybe stretching in a certain way would feel good.

so forgive us, and help us please?

Your assumption is correct. You can mentally draw an horizontal line on your belly at the level of your navel and place the middle finger of your left hand directly on it so that the hand will not be placed too high or too low... Also, the ideal place to lay down is on a bed with a good pillow.

Thank you D1ss1dent I meditate every night before I go to bed. This was a hundred times better for the first time in three years of meditating I could actually visualize things i was thinking which was part of the point of the meditation. When it first started i was a little freaked because i was seeing sand blowing in the wind and dry stuff which i realize quickly was the fact that i was getting dehydrated because i was putting myself through going with out food or water for a couple days. After fixing that with some gatoraid went back and worked better. Any way the way I did it was I put my left hand kind under my stomach with my middle finger around two inches to the left of my navel right leg straight down and left slightly bent. I have a longer neck then some people so how to put my head wasnt mentioned so I laid it to the side facing the right wall any thanks again op I needed that.

If it was ment to be a mudra, asana, whatever working, than it sure has a name. Hindus are obsessed with names. Otherwise it could be just art or something like Indian belly dance posture.

You obviously have some how-to directions so why do you keep your source? You don't suck it from air looking at nice picture, do you? I'm not sure about position of left hand thumb. Am I right the thumb is under middle finger? It's all about thumbs and middle fingers. I mean this is what's going on here.
btw thanks for sharing

Now that you've commented on an unrelated picture, i invite you to read the text just below.
And it's what we could call a fortuitous discovery so it has no name.
