Talk about being caught red handed..
The investigation continues into pig's blood being illegally drained into Cedar Creek which flows into the Trinity River, where locals enjoy kayaking and other water sports. Hopefully the authorities will shut this place down.

Allgov.com

Local, state and federal officials are investigating a century-old meatpacking plant in Texas after a local resident uncovered evidence using his unmanned aircraft. An unidentified man flying a small drone, appropriately called Exposure, captured images of blood flowing through a creek behind Columbia Packing, a 99-year-old slaughterhouse in Dallas.

The drone hobbyist forwarded the pictures to authorities, and environmental inspectors now suspect the company has been illegally dumping pig’s blood directly into Cedar Creek, which flows into Trinity River.

It hit the news:
WFAA

DALLAS - City councilman Dwaine Caraway showed up with a van full of city officials to see exactly what's going on at Columbia Packing. He and others, including a Dallas Police Deputy Chief, were kicked off the property.

"They asked us to leave," Caraway said.

Thank you for posting this. People need to be aware of how some people inhumanly kill animals for consumption. No surprise that if they will kill the animal inhumanly they could care less about polluting the environment.

These people need to be outsourced. They can run their business in...hell!

Increases nitrate levels in the water which kills off the fish. Anything that survives will be infested with parasytic worms from the pigs blood.

Other meat packing plants spread it on farmers fields to increase crop yields. Blood (nitrates) are the best fertilizers.

The meat packing plant could have been making money putting it on farmers fields, instead of down the drain.

Oh, yeah. That offense will be stopped.
And then the mighty forces that be in the corporate areas will start the bandwagon moving for wailing againstthese unoffical drones. --Surely, they must be or should be illegal to go around sniffing at the shennigans of decent if wrongly mannered businesses, right? Let's get some laws on the books from the feds down to the locals to prevent this gross invasion of privacy by unauthorized citizens looking into our business when we thought we could safely operate with impunity. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE tTO PROTECT OUR FREEDOM! Call you industries' lobbyist, send them a few bucks to get this ban imposed pronto.

Awesome!! I thought about buying one of those small drones. Great way to keep companies honest and do some backyard journalism.
