Once again, America is playing along with this little dog and pony show, as if poll results and campaign donations even mattered. All that matters is the media's spin on things; People love being told how to think and who to support, and love the idea that their vote means something.

I find it both sad and amusing to see all the political discourse taking place about the 2012 election, knowing that the whole thing is staged and that the people have no choice but to cast a meaningless vote for one crooked scumbag or the other...

As I've stated before, Ron Paul is most likely a patsy who is put there to make us think we have a dog in the fight. What a clever way to gauge public disposition, by putting the carrot on the stick like that. Watch the monkeys rattle the cage doors!

One doesn't need much insight to see that the race will come down to Obama and Romney, and that Obama will "win" because it's easier for them to let one puppet put on the show for 8 years rather than switch it up every 4, as evidenced by Presidents 40-43.

Really? What I'm seeing is Romney being pushed down our throats and I think he'll be the one to be POTUS. Seriously .. he looks like a crown prince to me and Obama looks wilted.

Ah yes, I think Obama will come in as the underdog, but will rise up with some slick, evocative teleprompter evangelism and save the day for all in the welfare state to cheer on!

Obama will definitely come out guns blazing with $1B campaign war chest, and some doctored numbers of his "successes" to aid his re-election campaign. The Republicans are taking him far too lightly. In every debate they have said anyone on the stage could beat Obama, but they are WAY wrong about that.

My brother posted This Blog about how unemployment numbers could be manipulated to make the numbers look great just in time for re-election. The economic numbers are often doctored up and down, and you can bet they will look great all next summer to show a nice trend before election time.

The GOP is going to have it's hand full, and I agree with the OP. Obama is the go-to guy for TPTB. He will beat any of the pro-establishment candidates like Romney, and good ol' boys like Newt.

The only chance to defeat Obama comes from the fringe like Ron Paul, Bachmann, Palin, and Johnson. Out of those fringe candidates, the only one that has a legitimate shot it Ron Paul.

I see a difference.
1. Romney will reverse the Obama healthcare plan-law.

That is huge. Because we can then take a step back from the single-payer system.

2. Romney won't give a blanket amnesty to illegals.

This is also important. With the millions of illegal aliens taking and using/abusing our limited medical and social resources.

So, yes, Romney may be a clear "chosen" but on these two points, I personally don't find any issue.

I must disagree.

Much like unemployment figures, favourability and polls can be just as easily manipulated. So they can []say that Obama is popular, but the great unwashed will have the final say.

My prediction (if Romney wins) is that while measures may be enacted which will appear to counter-act Obama's healthcare plan, the move towards Socialism in America is inevitable.

The welfare state will be expanded and illegals will continue to flood the country, because TPTB would rather rule 600 million poor people than 300 million who are middle class, because citizens with money=power and citizens with power=threat to their security.

That's 2 diferent issues. While I agree that government probably won't shrink under a Romney admiistration, (read that as growing socialism) h's going to repeal Obamacare. At least tht's one of his promises.

Entitlements will grow for as long as people will demand them. Sadly we have several generations of people who not only depend but now expect said entitlements.

Although this thread is pretty much dead, I want to say that I'm not happy that a moderator decided to edit my post subject.

The headline should read "Obomney-Rama: The Inevitable Puppet Showdown"

But someone mistook this for a typo and "corrected it" for me.
Thanks a lot, thought police!

(6 month update...)

So far, the puppet show is going off without a hitch!

Romney is tooling about the country playing the part of the "out of touch" rich guy who can't relate to the common man, while Obama is working hard to give wealth and prosperity a bad name, and promoting 'social fairness' for all. (And who better than to give the people their 'just desserts' and 'reparations' than the first non-white President?)

Ron Paul SHOCKED his own people by giving the "ok" to Rand when he endorsed Romney, at which point (in a symbolic, vicarious way) he himself did too without saying it... i.e., without having to "sell out". Damaging to the idea of a freedom movement? You betcha. And now the GOP all look like asses, making 'Bama a shoe-in as far as the citizen mindset goes.

So it looks to me like TBTP have realized that for maximum control of people and resources, the Communist model is superior and want to incrementally apply Socalist programs until we cross over fully into a Communist dictatorship.

The illusion of freedom without being free is their ultimate goal for us...
because, as we are told, 'Freedom isn't free'.

Inevitable??? Maybe, Maybe not... Obama could call a state of emergency and disrupt the elections. Then when all is said he will say "LOOK brought the nation back from the brink again!" I myself wouldn't put that past him.
