Ok, I wathed the video, twithe.
I'm done with the cheesy jokes, and would like to provide a serious commentary:
The format has worked itself into a solid, rational, and unique style. Kudos to the editing crew.
Brian, however, you are still stitching the camera head on. Argh! Dude, this is a freestyle newscast, not the evening news. Journalism school may
have taught you to stare the camera down, and that may be the de-facto standard, but in the last episode you nailed the off camera gazing, in bits and
pieces, but you are back to the good old must look directly into the camera's eye. Look up, look down, look left or right, heck, even roll your
eyes. Here's a challenge for you: When a page is posted over your left shoulder, look to the left, and point to it. It gives the illusion that you
can see the background behind, and the production crew will have to work that out, but I think you may get the concept. Interact with the cyberspace
you are immersed in. Your editing crew is already working miracles, so I don't see why it would be anymore difficult to pantomime the green screen.
Something like, Ok, Brian, turn left, look and gesture, *edit*, then ok, Brian, turn right, fingerpoint, *edit*. The gesture down is down pat, but
work in the left and right gestures. It would simply make it more real.
You've asked for input. I've given mine.
Can't wait for the next episode.
