The founding fathers of quantum physics made the most stunning discovery, IMHO, in modern times. They found that when observing electrons to determine why they spun in either a positive or negative fashion it was not due to some Newtonian, objective force such as temperature or pressure. It was the very mind of the observer himself that determined the spin. If the observer expected the spin to be positive, that indeed was observed!
Given the technology of the day, a logical compromise was to form a representative republic whereby every community of approximately 30,000 men would elect a representative
The President must immediately convene a meeting between the brightest men responsible for the most successful Internet companies, companies like Google and Facebook and Amazon and absolutely AboveTopSecret.com so they, in conjunction with Congress may fashion a new means of allowing every American citizen the right and responsibility to participate in a MEANINGFUL way.

A great thread, and you are absolutly right!
But the question is why we have done this? I ask myself that all the time. It seems as though no one really cares anymore about the "Big Picture" of Family, Country, Community. We are more self involved, and if it doesnt really affect us why would we care?

Wait just a second, what's your source? Feel free to link to a paper by "fathers" or some other reliable source. Please.

Article 1 Section 2 of the Constitution states that no congressional District shall have more than 1 congressman for each 30,000 citizens. Until 1910, when a district exceeded 60,000 citizens they created a new district and added a congressman.
Today the average district is 700,000 citizens. With the practicality and expectation of getting to "know" 700,000 congress has turned it's attention to those willing to pay for access.
Why not 10k? Not 100k?

How do you know that Facebook has your best interest at heart? It's just a business, and shareholder value is its ultimate law. Amazon is a veritable empire which excels at selling stuff. Or are you willing to let the big business interests to control the electoral process from get go?
We already have the elections. We already have means of information and dis-information. You can tweet your
vote or click on the Amazon page, that's just a technicality which doesn't change the fundamental decline of critical thinking in this country. Sheesh, just look at the ATS.
