Is it time to re-try this experiment? With the political/class divide in the U.S. it seems that the US government is in a stalemate. Maybe the idea of
the runner-up as Vice-President was before it’s time. Granted, this can still work both ways. Partisan politics, like opinions, have always been
like a Derriere….everyone has one. But as long as both individuals respect (they don’t have to like), each other, and agree that they both work
for the Nation than maybe; just maybe, we can hitch up our britches and put this Country back on track.
PRESIDENT / Vice-PRESIDENT / PARTY
1801-1809 Thomas Jefferson: Aaron Burr & George Clinton, Democratic-Republican
1809-1817 James Madison: George Clinton & Elbridge Gerry, Democratic-Republican
1817-1825 James Monroe: Daniel D Tompkins, Democratic-Republican
1825-1829 John Quincy Adams: John C Calhoun, Democratic-Republican
Let's say Ron Paul was elected.
Can you imagine if Ron Paul was elected President and Barack Obama was relegated to Veep? Or visa-versa?
That would be interesting, would it not?
