Brief outline: Pip goes back to the cabin to fetch his book by MsMars. Silo and Neno discuss whether or not he should be brought along, or left behind. Silo stays back from the progressing group.
Chumley and Carpet realize they've lost the Green Man (typical ). Neno sends Carpet back with an extra horse to get Silo and Pip. Jeni is smitten with Carpet the Graceful.

Brief outline: Charon and Pandora arrive at Gert's hut for the seduction meeting to find Adam, Sslar and the droids there with the Caliburn. Adam finds the nerve to refuse them and does not turn over the sword. He decides to descend into the passage from where Pandora came. They don't stop him. He has Skinny lock the trapdoor behind them, and together they head down the passage to where Pandora says Dag is. Charon and Pandora then await Neno, satisfied that Adam has taken the sword and crew to Gert himself.
