Facebook deletee and loving it!
I don't want pictures of people I know identifiable on the internet.
I don't want my information available to all and sundry.
I don't want just anybody to know who all my family members are.
I don't want my party photos available to be copied and photoshopped, at will.
I don't want any personal information on the internet.
If Facebook folks are cool with all that... they totally deserve what they get.
Unthink sure looks good to me!

You think 'make my info private' option means your info is private???
Here's the conversation:
Quote:
Zuckerman: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard just ask. I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS
[Redacted Friend's Name]: What? How'd you manage that one?
Zuck: People just submitted it. Zuck: I don't know why. They "trust me" Zuck: Dumb ****s.

You do realize Facebook uses their browser cookies to track where you go online, even after you leave their site? Meaning they know every. Single. Porn website you have looked at recently.

Then why make an account in the first place? And once again I highly doubt Zuck wants your party pictures.......unless you're smoking hot, in which case 'Pliz to b making the franshipz'

So are you saying people should only try to change things in those ways? Are you saying that speaking up is pointless? If so, how will others come to find out how bad Facebook is?

I wish people would stop saying things like this.
"If you don't like Hitler, just don't go to Germany!"
"If you don't like rabies, just don't go near dogs with rabies!"
"If you don't like arsenic in your food, don't eat food with arsenic in it!"
I don't think ANYONE likes these things.
If they do, then tell them to "just stop".
I extremely dislike Facebook, but unfortunately that's where most of my friends are. It's also my best way to keep in contact with women since in this part of the world, people would rather talk through electronics than in person.

I'll never delete Facebook.
Not because I like people to read my witty status's, look at pictures of my friends or finding out someone's birthday..
Yet because it simply allows me to see which local bands are playing where, where/when open mics are on and other musical events.
I SUPPOSE I could walk down the strip on every billboard and telephone pole for posters but....
I was gonna say the same thing.
I get more amusement/entertainment from "liking" pages of bands/celebrities than looking at my actual friends.
There is no harm in Facebook. If you don't want your information sold then don't post it anywhere on the web. Literally, don't post it anywhere if you don't want it sold.
