well...i live on staten island nyc...

down the block from my house we have this "DEP water tank thing"

the structure is a big round building with mad fences and barbed wire in it...

now...the ohter day i saw 2 men in military garb escorting a man in a suit with a briefcase chained to his wrist...they enterned this structure ...and walked right down into where theres supposed to be a tank of water..

i sat there for about 2 hours waiting for them to come back out but they never did...

i think its some kind of cover for underground tunnels leading to and from nyc or other places...

Time for you to get to work, surveilance sounds good to me! Set up a camera with a photo-optic trigger and get the goods on them. If you are really good, you could place them so that they are nicely disguised and the people there won't know a thing.

It could be part of the new water line being bult...the ones that feed NYC are almost 100yrs old.

Just a thought..

I think I know where you're talking about...

Interesting sight to say the least... Let us know if you learn more on it. Why would the military be going there? A good question indeed...

ok next time you see someone walk through there, stop them and ask them. if they just try and bolt, you know its sumthin suspicious. if they give you sum excuse, dont believe it. case in point, go down there and have a look around. maybe if they find you theyll lock you up so that you cant tell anyone about what you saw... but thats a risk I'm willing to take

Just as anyone going to or from. You'll probably understand quite fast if they are hiding something or not, depending on the answer they give. I stick to the waterline-theroy though
Anyway, go there and find out!

Btw: Doesn't almost every city have city plans of all over and underground public and official buildings and structures? I believe these drawings/maps are available to anyone who asks, either @ the library, internet or some city officials. If this round thing is just a simple "nothing" it would most certainly be on the plans or maps. If it's NOT there, it's a little more interesting. Just a thought...

I know this thread is really old, but i was doing a search on staten island and saw this for the first time. I actually lived around the corner from this building in question and have never seen any army dudes or guys in suits enter. I did see a guy in a DEP jumpsuit carry a briefcase that looked handcuffed to his wrist. i always thought that was odd but never gave it serious thought. i was in highschool at the time around 2000-2003 range.

hmmm. I do live in that area. And I do not know. It just seems strange to hide something like that on what is, more or less, a swamp.

Then again...

The did push really hard to avoid a Richmond historic site tunnel to help traffic.
