And people gave me crap for not giving these morons my support.

Indeed. A HUGE pan handling scheme.

And it's OWS core members laughing all the way to the evil bank.

If you're right, and I'll grant that perhaps you are on this....then the leadership personalities who steal the money have a real problem they are badly underestimating. That is simply that in doing this they have drawn together unprecedented numbers of some of the lower rungs of American society.

A large % of the homeless community knows brutal violence on the street as a regular part of life. I would NOT want to be the man or woman specifically named as having burned several thousand people who live in that world every day of their lives. It could be called downright unhealthy...and I say that as nothing but an observation based on the realistic view of street life in general. Some folks really take being ripped off badly......

I still doubt this theory has merit to money being embezzled, especially this early on...but I'm a man of my word and I'll be back to this thread to eat a generous helping of crow if I am proven wrong for this.

There have been some, I wouldn't say majority. It's difficult to look beyond pre-conceptions, there's not a single human who isn't vulnerable to that. I think that speaks volumes on how the negative press has served to keep us divided when largely, we want the same things.

It isn't the press I listen to.

I've been trying to get answers about who is organizing these people and why. The leadership of this organization is actually very secretive. And it doesn't exist in some general assembly.

Its just another example of this so called "Movement" of how Hypocritical the OWS people are. I mean come on what did everyone expect someone drops $500,000 in your lap, your not going to give it out to the supporters its going in your back pocket.

Where are you getting your information if I may ask?

I do my own research.

Digging through the organizer e-mails has been very helpful as well. The fact that adbusters, funded through the Tides foundation, a Soros initiative, tells me all I need to know. But I decided to go further.

It's a leftist hodgepodge masquerading as something else. It just isn't for me.

500k hahaha.

They were told from day one. If you ask for money you will be bought off. Who would have thought it would've been so cheap. I guess "wallstreet" knew.

Demand Peace. Tell them to keep their blood money.

Oh crap if they keep getting donations they are going to become part of the 1%. Maybe they should just give all the money away to some social programs. Isn't that what they want the bankers to do?

Nah they wont.
I bet this has come up at the general assembly's that no one here on ats watches or has listened to. Whole there are organizers, they're just folks. I know the organizers for my local one here, they're good people. The money needs to be spent on where it will be most effective. 500,000 dollars isn't even a lot of money, lol, not when some bigwig in an office gets a nice multi-million dollar bonus every year.

500,000 won't last once winter hits. It gets cold in NY and some of the other cities. At some point there going to need hotel rooms for the masses to escape frost-bite meals and fines. because the city will start making no laws soon and there will be fines attached to cover the extra cost of the police.

Well, who decides to get what money?

Who controls the cash? I thought the wealth should be spread evenly among the protestors.

Im not surprised they want paperwork
They need to keep track of said finances.

But yeah, i think saving the money for things they need should be top priority (as winter is coming), so they'll need lots of winter stuff coming soon, doubt 500,000 would even cover all the winter gear 300+ people need

Most of ther material needs were donated anyway they have not paid for most of what has been distributed so far. and these companies not wanting to pass up a crisis will donate their name brand products for free advertizement one the backs of the OWS protestors.

Talk about being used by your enemy. My enemy is my friend.

Actually I need $75k to payoff our lot and building. I am not asking for much but if they will I could use some of that spread the wealth cheese.

Anyone with a knowledge of history or who has at least read Atlas Shrugged or even Animal Farm can see the parallels and knows what's coming.

You know what is even better they want you to use Master Card, American Express, Visa or Discover card to make your donation to OWS.

www.wepay.com...

These are the very companies they are protesting on Wall Street. They are just there to make money, not just for some upper core group of OWS but also for the Big bank Stock holders like Soros, and the Rothchilds, these are the 1% they claim to be against, but they are working hand in hand.

You want to know what is even funnier, Twitter, Facebook and we pay are all big bank rolled companies. the very Internet they are using to promote everything is Big Cooperate business Owned and enslaved by the wall street. Ignorance must truly be bliss.

Hypocrisy has not bounds OWS is in cahoots with the Big Corporate banks. Try and tell me this is not a planned event.

This isn't surprising. The 99% are the ones who put the big banks and corporations IN POWER IN THE FIRST PLACE by adhering to consumerist ideals and living far beyond their means. Over consumption on every level is whats killed this economy and is what is killing this planet.

How many people are impervious to the real temptations of wealth? How many of these "99%" protesting, if handed 100 million dollars, would invest a few million, live on the interest, and spend the other 90 million helping this world? I guarantee you the number is far fewer than you think. They would buy million dollar cars, huge houses, yachts, party, and so on just like all this fat cats on wall street. In their heart, most people are no better or worse than the people they are accusing. Most would be guilty of hypocrisy.

Sure, they aren't asking for exorbitant wealth. However, how many of these 99% who are protesting are broke because they lived beyond their means? How many maxed out their credit cards? How many stupidly changed majors in school over and over and racked up thousands of dollars of useless debt? How many irresponsibly brought children into this world they could not afford in relationships that had hardly developed?

The list of the errors of the 99% goes on and on and on. Now they look for someone to blame, anyone but themselves. I am the 99% but I don't particularly think the OWS movement will do any good, people are in this situation because of what they adhered to, because of their ideologies and beliefs, because of their poor choices, because of their consumerism and greed, on every level of society. We are all responsible for this situation. If the SHTF, everyone can just look in the mirror for someone to blame.

Well, look at that. Human nature rears its ugly head yet again. I have heard that there is an inner circle at OWS, a section where only a select few are allowed to enter. (don't have a source for that, just something I remember reading at one point) I know some want socialism, an ideal state where everyone is looked after and everyone has the same - but this simply does not work. You will still have a select few fat cats lining their pockets.

Mate you are missing something which makes this conclusion skewed.
When people donate to a non profit those taking cash must be held accountable for their spending.
The paperwork is to show accountability. Its what would stop said person from paying off their mortgage with the money. This guy comes across as a spoilt brat. Granted he says he has provided money to the movement which is great but now he is making headlines talking about how selfish those wh have put their hands up to be accountable are.

Who is accountable then? Who decides what the funds are being used for? Many of us would like to know who is running the show.
