Proud to be from Mexico, Canada, or the United States? America is a continent.... and why so proud?

Actually, America is a country. North America is the name of the continent where we're located, which does also include the countries of Canada and Mexico.

I am also proud to be an American and I think that everyone should be proud of their Countries and who they are....... it seems to be the Leaders of many Countries that are the ones that have ruined reputations and I believe it is we the Human race that needs to change by 'standing together as a race" with no boundries and to respect all colors, nationalities, religions.

Many think they do but they don't.

Love, peace, health and happiness is what life was meant to be, why are we all letting them war and destroy this beautiful Planet.

WHY?

Proud? No ... I am blessed to be an American. I love this country and I hate what is happening to her. A minority of greedy-hearted people want to bring America down and destroy her and her people. Voting? That's a joke. Selection is more like it, not election. America's people have been given a bad name by a few ... I started noting a real change when the Supreme Court took prayer out of schools. Seriously ... I'm one who will pray whenever, wherever I want ... no "supreme court" will dictate prayer to me!

I think Americans have a lot to be proud of. And a lot to be ashamed of as well.

I don't think the world has ever seen such a creative nation build on the idea of individualism. At the same time, how cruel is it not? What is America doing to the word? Literally destroying it. Nothing but an ruthless empire.

It is so fascinating to see how a ruthless empire can exist without the population realizing being an empire. Isn't that amazing? People don't seem to be aware. They believe in their Libertarian dreams, their free market principles, humanitarianism and so forth... not seeing the true ruthless face - as to speak - of their world.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with America, as well as with Europe which is absolutely nothing but America's little bitch. I see in this thread a lot of Europeans harshly criticizing America(perhaps rightfully so) yet completely ignoring Europe's position. We are no better here. We joined in on Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, the bail-out scandals etc.etc.

Europe has more history that is true. Europeans are in general more aware about the world, travel more, speak more languages and things like that. We are a little less extreme over here. There is also a higher sense of socialism. I find that, especially in the northern parts, we have a great way of taking care of each other. We are used to an excellent health care system.... and not because of free-market principles, but the realization that in certain area's the market is your worst enemy!! We need government and regulation! And lot's too!

I really laugh at Ron Paul and his idea's. Sure, I support him. He's the only candidate willing to end the wars and all that. But for the rest... keep on dreaming! The free market is a nasty bitch.

A long story. I'm sure no one will read it. LoL! I mean.. what the hell did I just write? It makes no sense!

I am proud to be an American citizen. I served in the USMC, I work for the betterment of my community as well as help my fellow neighbors when I can. Mind you many of my neighbors are eastern European immigrants who chose to live here in the USA. I despise our government and most of our elected officials who spend countless hours and money figuring new ways to pick our pockets. I am not proud of the criminal mentality which is part of our federal, state and local government. However as an American I can speak up against it and point out it is wrong with little backlash towards me and my freedom despite what many others think. I am unafraid of TPTB.

I am so thrilled to see many waking up to the fact we have been sold out by our elected officials, mega corporations and the Federal Reserve. We the people need to press for reform of our financial dealings. We need to reform our economic policies so we are not living in a world fueled by debt. We need to keep our heads in the game and learn what has been kept hidden from us by big money. We need to pressure the federal government to adopt a more reasonable foreign policy. These are the thing everyday US citizens demand.

Many of us are tied up in the rat race working as hard and long as we can getting at what little money there is out there. Using our human effort to rise above the financial harness which the 'machine' has tried so cleverly to sling over our shoulders. For every voice calling out the injustices there are multiples of people who echo the sentiment but are too mired in the economic chaos which is our world in 2011 to lend their voices to the chorus.

I and the majority of United States citizens are caring, empathetic people who despite setbacks of many types still enjoy a better standard of living than most of the rest of the world. We understand that and willingly give to others less fortunate in their times of need and despair. At the root we are good.

The problems are systemic. I still have faith in my fellow Americans. I think we will pull through this time and come out better in the end. As long as there are free people willing to use their freedom to bring enlightenment of all the deceptions and schemes there is hope for change. There is still chance of making the world better place for ALL human beings.
This is why I am proud to call myself an American!

You should be proud of the great accomplishments of the US nation - and you should be ashamed of your country's dark moments.

I think patriotism is disgusting. We're all humans on this planet. We're all the same species and imaginary boundaries on the dirt don't make you or I different.

America is a group of two continents. North America is the uppermost continent home to several countries. The United States of America is a country in North America. Therefore just plainly, "America," is not a country.

No you are not the only one. I am proud to be a American! Yes I live overseas, mainly due to work, most of the time my contracts are in Asia. My family lives in the Philippines even when I am on a contract back in the US, due to family issues and that we have a house and land there. As a family we are all proud to be American. I did 10 years in the service of my country as well.

At the same time I am ashamed of many of my countries actions and policies. I try to do my best to mitigate the bad and wrong policies of my government, about all I can do any more is vote for the candidates that offer the most hope for turning situation around.

I think America needs a paradigm shift if it is to be able to survive in a healthy way, into the future. America is going to have to embrace broad spectrum sophistication. Innocent "golly gee" enthusiasm is great as long as it doesn't carry with it an implied permission to let one's brain lapse into a monatomic state as a privilege of membership in the American club.

I look forward to the day when America is known for its "renaissance" men and women, its polymaths, when it becomes a place that prizes erudition, where intellectual activity isn't seen as a weird thing.

The whole "dumbing down" thing serves only one class's interests. America needs its people to be smarter.

no that's not all you can do. You can turn your back on the system that has betrayed you, if you have the cojones.

This is an inkling of how it can be done:

www.roage.com...

(if the link is down, try after a few hours. This site is up and down like a fiddler's elbow, I believe due to the incredibly empowering information there.)

This is one method. The method I used. I sent a notarized copy of a document much like "the way" to my county's _elected_ District Attorney via certified mail, restricted delivery and return receipt (the D.A.s secretary dishonored Postal regulations by "signing" for it, without filling out the "printed name of recipient" field, but that doesn't matter) with instructions to enter it into the public record, since the courthouse and recorder's office both played dumb as to how to enter a document into the public record without either a claim against real property or a court case being involved.

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE! It's immeasurably more important than "who".

I may be confused but I am thinking that zero= nothing and that this document is that nothing is sacred except for natural law as explained in the text... Set me straight if I am interpreting the incorrectly.
