It was just a matter time for the rubber to hit the road and for the OWS squatters to overstay their very limited welcome. Time for Bloomberg to grow a set and evict the filth.

Dowtown New Yorkers furious with the continued presence of the Occupy Wall Street protesters vented angrily at a community board meeting Thursday, according to reports.

The desire to complain about the demonstrators was so widespread that the line to speak at the meeting wound its way outside the board’s office and into the street, the New York Post said. At least several hundred people showed up to the board meeting.

The complaints!!! I would certainly complain too!!

The major complaints from residents in the area around the Occupy Wall Street protests in Lower Manhattan were issues of hygiene, garbage, noise and respectfulness.

“They are defecating on our doorsteps,” said Catherine Hughes, who lives one block from Zuccotti Park, according to the New York Post. “A lot of people are very frustrated. A lot of people are concerned about the safety of our kids.”

Particularly annoying, suggested several community members at the meeting, was the repetitive drumming late into the night.

“The occupiers are not our neighbors, our neighbors do not beat on drums when they’re sleeping, our neighbors do not verbally attack on the way to work… Our neighbors do not break into buildings or defecate on our street,” another speaker said,

Wow! the OWS crowd are so respectful, courteous and clean. All of these pissed of RESIDENTS must be liars..

Here is what came of the meeting. Amazingly there was no mention of an EVICTION. Just amazing

The meeting resulted in a resolution with three major points, including calls for limiting the use of drums and air horns to two hours a day, during the midday; making arrangements for bathrooms to eliminate urination and defecation in the doorways of retail shops and residential buildings; and the removal of police barricades that block access to homes and building.

Where are they going to put the Port o lets? Port o lets have to be emptied on a regular basis. Won't be long before someone pulls a jackass and tips one over in the streets.

Good luck tax paying residents of NYC, you're in for a bumpy and filthy ride. Any word of rats biting the OWSers in their sleep?

I'm not really sure where your going with this thread...is it about messy streets? Or is it about people protesting at their lives being ripped apart to favour 1% of the planet.

You call them filth...quite a harsh term to use when you are talking about hard working, tax paying citizens who are being as* raped by the Government...

I for one support the OWS movement, i believe in freedom, i believe in equality and i believe in goodness...

Oh yeah. Those are genuinely grotesque concerns! I can see why you would worry more about port-o-lets being tipped over than a collapsing global economy on the horizon. Thanks for waking us all up! It's a shame how all these people standing up for themselves against a tyranny are such a nuisance. Meh.

I used to live in a fairly large city. A college city no less.

You couldnt take five steps without somebody accosting you with a cause. They'd jump right in your face with papers, pamphlets, petitions, etc...

It was a constant battle for the title of most annoying between the people with their causes and panhandlers.

I wouldnt ask for or support any legislative measures restricting their actions. That would be hypocritical and anti-liberty.

So I moved.

I can sympathize with New Yorkers and what a horrible annoyance it must be for them but at it's core New York is an annoyance and anyone living there has to either accept that or leave. If a bunch of drum-beating cause-pimping hipsters doesnt appeal to you then you probably shouldnt be living in a densely populated urban center.

I call them filth because they are urinating and defecating wherever they see fit to do so. They verbally assault those walking past who are actually going to WORK without even knowing who they are abrading. Nothing but disrespect and a total lack of self respect.

This movement has lost its way already because they never had a focus. The union muscle is slowly taking over the movement one city at a time. Phase two will begin soon!! The clueless campers singing kumbaya won't know what to think when things start to get real.

They don't even know what they are standing up against!! All they do is parrot the loudest voice heard in the crowd with the human megaphone routine. They need to be in DC at the root of all problems.

The hypocrisy within the movement is truly awesome as they pick and choose which gazillionaires to target and which to ignore.

I'm done and the people of NYC have apparently reached their tipping point as well.. Keep on pushing

So if you don't know what your standing up for, then you might as well stay home, cause you can't affect change? Is that what you are saying?

Or is it that you think you have all the solutions, anybody that does not agree with you is "vile and grotesque"?

I'm pretty sure you don't speak for the people of New York. So don't kid yourself. The people of New York can't do anything about it, so they might as well join in.

The real question is: OP, what have you done lately?

Instead of running your mouth about things you know nothing about, how about you get off your couch and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

...or just.....stay in your cave.

[ill-mannered comments removed] I care more about the views of the residents who live where you are "protesting", who work hard to raise a family and pay tax (both of which the protesters would know little about) and are sick of having their days ruined by you selfish rentamob socialists.

October 17, 2011 - New Yorkers Back Wall St. Protesters 3 - 1, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds; Stay As Long As You Want, Even Republicans Say

www.quinnipiac.edu/x1302.xml?ReleaseID=1662

By a 67 - 23 percent margin, New York City voters agree with the views of the Wall Street protesters and say 87 - 10 percent that it is "okay that they are protesting," according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

Agreeing with the protesters views are Democrats 81 - 11 percent and independent voters 58 - 30 percent, while Republicans disagree 58 - 35 percent, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds. Even Republicans, however, agree 73 - 23 percent with the protesters right to be there.

New York City voters say 72 - 24 percent, including 52 - 41 percent among Republicans, that if the protesters obey the law, they can stay as long as they wish.

A total of 72 percent of voters say they understand the protesters' views "very well" or "fairly well," with 17 percent who say "not too well" and 10 percent who say "not well at all."

Voters split 46 - 45 percent in their approval of the way police are handling the Wall Street protest, but approve 61 - 33 percent of how the police are doing their job overall.

so these hard working, tax paying citizens are ok to urinate and deposit feces on the doorstep of other hard working tax paying citizens? really? some people have families and kids that need to eat and have somewhere to live. not everyone can be a filthy hippy living in a tent on the street. the whole "movement" is a joke.

And by this statement, surely NO protesters have or are paying tax...is that right. You are exactly why this world wont change...

The protesters have every right to be there, if you don't like it MOVE

the more i see of these protesters the more i realize that they arent mad at teh millionaires, they are mad at people in teh same social standing as them who actually have jobs. why would you yell and scream at a lady going to work? for all you know she could be a single mom trying to feed 3 kids on a single persons salary. these protesters have zero respect for their fellow human. Tey keep harping on and on about the 99% well guess what the peoples buildings you are peeing and pooing on are also in the 99%, but the protesters are too stupid to even realize who the enemy is.

I ain't saying its OK to do this, i too have a family and a home and yes if the protests came to my door i'd be pretty upset too but there is NOTHING i can do about it, complaining ain't going to do jack about it...why, well if the protesters are forced off of the streets then it will escalate. The police, in truth cannot contain it. If they arrive with force, the protests will grow and it wont be faeces at your door...it will be fire in your house!

I agree that the OWS has lost its purpose but it was never going to keep its purpose...in fact, the purpose was probably to achieve chaos amongst order, which is whats happening...

Well, they are spending their days protesting, which means they are not working. If they are not working, they cannot be earning a wage, meaning, they are making no tax contributions. So yes, I was right, and I'd like to thank you for making that point much clearer for me.

So let me get this straight, you scumbags rock up uninvited to where people live, destroy their quality of life, destroy their local environments, cost the taxpayer hundreds of thousands in policing costs, and if they complain...your response to them is "MOVE". Thank you for further solidifying my scorn at your pathetic little movement. I now view each and every video of the police hammering you with that much more delight.

So a person should be forced to give up their job and give a bunch of money to a bank to get a new house because of a protest about the lack of jobs and the money being given to banks? Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a protest not be helping those things they're protesting against?

so if i didnt liek something i could set up shop right outside your house, leave dumps on your front step and bang drums while you and your family would normally be sleeping? then when you did come out of your house i would call you scum and verbally harass you. that would be ok? i have every right to be there so surely it would be.

I find the OP to be vile filth, to be perfectly honest. It's their right, and guess what? If we didn't have these rights, you'd be living in China, Russia, Korea or any number of other countries that see any form of protest as civil disobedience. You would rather give up your rights and be under the thumb of your government than actually try to change something.

You're so high and mighty with your "hard working tax paying people" crap it makes me sick. You've met every one of the thousands of protestors and found out that they are family-less, tax avoiding creeps? Evict the protestors? Why? Because they are standing up against billion dollar bailouts, mad printing of money, money in politics, tax breaks for the rich, the economy nearing collapse because of horrendous spending, trading, and money management by both corporations, banks, and the government? You're grotesque.
