Actually, a very extensive amount of US political history has been defined by mobs and mobsters.

Shhhhhhh. Don't tell Coulter.

our country was not founded on mobs, but rather organized protests and some extreme organized methods.

I am reminded of Barry Goldwater's acceptance speech at the 1964 RNC where he accepted the Repub nomination;

"I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice."
"And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue."

Because it is the banks that threw American children onto the street. American children are the fastest growing homeless group in our nation.

The banks need to fail and go away. They have ruined the world long enough. Stock brokers and speculators need to go, they do nothing but legally rip off the system and do nothing to contribute to society.

Enough. This nation needs to be broken down and redone. Elections do not work. Protesting does not work.

The people behind the government that are pulling the strings are soon going to find out why we have 100 million gun owners. When we the people are in there living rooms then they will finally listen. Until that day we will keep getting the short end and a lick and a promise.

Actually what I see here is dick envy.
With corporate sponsorship and the fox noise machine behind them the teapartier couldn't do anything even close to this.
99%-corporate sponsorship>1%+corporate sponsorship
What are they going to do other than attack the character? Must be frightning, especially with DOJ breathing down Newscorpse neck.

Amazing how far people will go to defend the socialist union mob at the Wall Street protest. Ann Coulter is right, the country was not founded on mobs. But our ancestors did fight against the tyranny of the monarchy. They won and set up the country as a Republic, not a democracy. So some of you who are believing the mob today declaring that we need to reinstate a democracy are the ones needing a history lesson.

Of course not! She didn't go to grade school because the American education system is staffed by insanely wealthy communists.

You're correct and so is Ann Coulter but the brilliant posters attacking her would rather be a part of those who tear down messages simply because of who delivers it.

America was not founded by mobs.

The one sign "Keep your government hands of my medicare" was obviously a plant.

tea party mob? seriously? the tea party took it to washington where it belong didnt protest and whine

the exercised their power by vote the way this country was setup and what they did

changed a congress and influenced other elections for the past 3 years and stopped a liberal party running rampant dead in its tracks.

there was no tea party mob rule they acted within the confines of a constitutional republic.

what has ows done except get arrested.

Maybe Not at Occupy Austin, But: Title, Occupy Wall Street Protesters Call For Totalitarian Government, Re-Election Of Obama.
Yes, A woman was interviewed and thinks Obama needs a second term to help the Middle Class and the Poor.
Any body Really That Stupid to think Obama Cares?

One woman interviewed by Kokesh also announces her intention to help Obama to capture a second term. How can a self-proclaimed Occupy Wall Street protester simultaneously support the man whose 2008 campaign was bankrolled by Wall Street, whose 2012 campaign is reliant on Wall Street to an even greater extent, and whose cabinet was filled with Wall Street operatives?

Watch the Video or skip to 7.50 and watch her only.

I don't believe Obama has a pair of those you want him to Grab,,,,, Lady!

Bigger than any teaparty protest ever? Doesn't matter, cause they won't vote for her friends.

The argument that the U.S. was founded on mobs is completely and totally ignorant.

The Thirteen Colonies had been around for the better part of a century, largely isolated from the British Crown and British empire. Suddenly - Britain realized America was a booming industry and decided to start imposing taxes to recoup its investment in the founding of the colonies (and the recent wars fought in America with the French - something the Colonists were kinda-sorta for... but I can't help but wonder if they didn't feel a little proxied into it).

The Colonists were used to being largely ignored by Britain, and being left primarily to their own devices and their own systems of government that had been developed out of necessity (largely centered around town-halls and local forms of government).

The colonists felt they were not being fairly represented in Parliament, and decided that they were better off without Britain's intervention - key representatives and leaders from around the Colonies came together to draft the Declaration of Independence. Out of this, the Continental Congress arose, which began preparing militias and an organized response to the expected military response from the British.

While we can choose to focus on some of the more chaotic facets of society at the time (the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre) - the reality is that the nation did not grow out of angry mobs. There was a structured governing system behind much of it (even if it was off-the-cuff at times).

The Revolutionary War in America was not so much a revolution as it was America asserting itself as being an independent power from Britain. Britain had long been a secondary - even tertiary governing factor in America prior to the mid 1700s, and the Colonies felt they were better off being self-governing rather than being affiliated with the British Crown.

That would be something akin to another round of states seceding from the union (or, a little more like a territory declaring itself independent).

That is considerably different from the mobs we are seeing on wall-street and other locations.

It will also wake up the masses. The corporate bootlicking corporate block will be overwhelmed when we awaken.

It is time to take the wealth back from the crooks and put it back in the average Americans hands that built this country and made it great.

The revolt has begun, it is time to awaken and move the old world ways out and finally after thousands of years put the power and money in the peoples hands.

Anything else is against human instinct and is a result of decades of brainwashing.

Obviously, the people who don't agree with you must be asleep or something.

It is time to take the wealth back from the crooks and put it back in the average Americans hands that built this country and made it great.

So, that's how functional society operates. "Hmm... I am having trouble making my bills meet, but you aren't. You must be a crook. I'll be taking my money back from you, now. All complains can be directed toward the pack of raving monkeys ran-sacking your house and raping your daughter."

The revolt has begun, it is time to awaken and move the old world ways out and finally after thousands of years put the power and money in the peoples hands.

What is your fixation with money? Money is value-less.

Work. Productivity. What you can do for others - that is what has value. The only thing that gives money value is the belief it can be exchanged for something another person wants and/or needs.

I'm not seeing the productive part of your planned actions... and don't have much faith in the value of the money you will be "taking back."

But what do I know... I'm only in the 99.9 percentile of the "smart people."

Anything else is against human instinct and is a result of decades of brainwashing.

... "If you don't agree with me - you are wrong. You are brainwashed. You are backwards and not human!"

... What is cultural re-education in accordance with Maoism?

We're playing Jeopardy, right?

I've been reading through the posts here and there's something I gotta try and clear up.

True, America was not founded by mobs, there weren't just angry crowds of people roaming the land with pitchforks and torches or whatever. But I don't think the conditions that led to the foundation of America can be compared to the conditions that may possibly lead to changes in America.

But since Ann brought up the foundation of America, let's think about something else. The founding fathers would be more than happy to see Americans protesting something they disagree with, not to mention something that's unconstitutional like the Federal Reserve. The 1st freaking Amendment gives Americans the right to a peaceable assembly.

So isn't Coulter really patting the foundation of America on the back with one hand, but smearing feces in the founding fathers faces with her other hand by calling the protestors a "mob"?
